Biker's Run..........................

Good evening, everyone... :)

It's a humid evening here in Woodbury. Where supposed to have showers moving through the area.

Well Snake knowing tomorrow's Friday usually makes me feel good too. But I found out to day I have to work part of Saturday. So Friday will make me feel better. Hope your gett'n some of this rain. One of the funnys things that I say at the show on Wednesday at Corey's was a motor scooter only it's powered with a 650 cc engine. The gal that rides it told us how she was ticketed by a state trooper on I84 doing 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Not sure if I would really want to do 90 mph on a scooter...

Shagly now this is just a suggestion. When pondering the brand bike to purchase I would look at what dealers are in your area and the dealers reputation. Try to stay away from exotic bikes for now. Possiblely later you can get something exotic. Also figure out what you want to do with the bike. A crouch rocket isn't really a good two up bike. Stay with the popular brands. Snake is right if you planning to take long rides a touring type is what you want... ;)

Lorelei_11 I can a sure you beyond any doubt that I am not like my parents at all...

Sassy today after work I wasn't in the mood to cook anything so I ordered a pizza from a local resturant. I sat at the patio table in the yard with actually a couple of ice cold ones. Darl'n we were both staring at that same sunset... :D

Summer is sizzling, ride hard, ride safe, and ride naked... ;)
Easy Rider had a nice touring kind of bike.

There is a place called Orange County Choppers down State that could customize a Suzuki, I mean a Charley.
Very interesting tid bit about Orange Co Choppers. We all have seen the show and scenes of them riding their custom choppers. They do build some very nice Custom theme Bikes... Looks good on TV but when they set up at Amercade in Lake George...They have their bikes that they really ride sitting behind the campers... Harleys... When the old man bought his son a bike... He picked up the Harley Ultra Classic from Moronies in Newburgh ny ... Same place I bought my 87 Heritage Special.
Don't get me wrong here... I Love custom choppers ... to look at, but when it comes to riding one. No thanks ...
Been lots of good suggestions about different bikes. I agree with riding what you can afford or what you enjoy the best.
I will only say this ... Since buying my first Harley, A used 1975 Sportster and owning Harleys ever since... I never bought a Harley I didn't sell for more than I paid for it even after putting a lot of miles on them. Thats a good thing because they are in my blood so I would own one even if they didn't hold their value so well. Thats what I enjoy so thats what I ride...

I'm talkative and sociable like my father, I think thats about it.

Perhaps like my mother only in the way that she didn't mind listening to any music. New stuff, rock when I was a young teen.

Mmm pizza and beer, wish I would have been there. I think it would be nice to hang out with you and have a few beers. :)

G-Mornin' everyone,

...TGIF... :)
...Hate to hear 'bout ya havin' to work Sat. jade. Wanted to thank-ya for the recipes, I only checked my mail last nite, and found 'em, gonna print 'em off later, and keep 'em, not so much for me, but the 'cook' wants 'em... ;)
...I saw 'em in Myrtle, a few years back nywings, the ol' man was leavin' "outback", when we pulled in, with his woman on back, am sure they will be back again this year. Ya can see their fancier bikes, if ya wanna pay... But also saw mikey, and Paulie, ridin around on those beach scooters, never did see them out on bikes.
...Dam allergy jade, has perhaps turned into a cold..feelin' like shit, and head/sinuses all screwed up...don't know, but am still takin' all the allergy pills i can find..
...As far as buyin' a bike shagly, check around for a good used bike, First bike I bought my woman, was used, she rode it for a year, then decided she wanted to upgrade... ..Too many people run out, buy a new bike, and within a very short piece of time, find out, this ain't what they thought it would be. The tradin' post are full of used bikes...
...Hope everyone has a great Friday, and the beer and pizza, keeps till quitting time...Ride safe, but ride...

...Keep your kness, in the breeze....

Good evening, girls and boys.... :)

Friday is finished and I have one more day to go this week....

Actually, read a interesting article about the bike show at Corey's here in Woodbury, CT. It is rated one over the best shows in New England which I thought was neat...!

Well Snake sorry to here about you coming down with a cold. I tryed taking the allergy medican and it dry the hell out of me and only made me feel worse. I had to stop taking it. I'd rather have the runny noise than feel wacked out. Ya get those recipes printed for momma. But I think you'll enjoy that Tex/Mex BBQ sauce.

Shagly, both KnightWing and Snake is giving you good advice. As far as a chopper I think there beautiful. If I ever came into a great deal of money I would love to build a stretch chopper. But I would still would keep my touring bike. I had the opportunity to ride a chopper and it was exciting. However I don't think it would be something I would want to ride a great distance.

Well, Dinny with the riding season in full gear one of my all time movies is Easy Rider with Peter Fonda and Dennis Hooper. I have rented it numerous times. Well today my local Video Store orderd a DVD for me... :D

Lorelei_11, the only immediate problem I could see hang out together some week end and doin cold ones is that I some how always wind up naked. I try to be fair and warn people...

Well gonna run and make something to eat. The I wanna shower and get out of these work clothes. Catcha ya all later.... ;)

Ride hard, ride safe, and ride naked...

Glad to have shared it with you and over a cold one too! My view is beautiful...it starts setting in the treetops, then moves behind the hill...then I am ready to come in for the night. Sometimes I have some tunes playin' but last night the birds were putting on an excellent concert. Peaceful and relaxing.

Good day and evening to everyone. 12 more days til I can get on 2 wheels.... :nana:

{{{{{{{{{Bikers}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

The weather is gorgeous!! I, also, sat out watching the sun set. Feels good to just be outside. Hope you all enjoy your weekend!!!

First post here, been a rider for 9 years, more off than on, tend to be a fair weather rider, (but then again the bike wont start below 50.) Suzuki Intruder 700 here.

We're right on top of a hill and all sounds last night with the windows open were great! Beautiful for sleeping or.... :) The sunrise and sunsets are spectacular here! This sure beats winter. There is just one small patch of snow I seen up the road today and that's all that's left. I'm going to see Blue Oyster Cult tomorrow..YEAH!!!!! Everyone have a great weekend and ride safe!!!!!!

Sucks to work on the weekend. Thats fine, I've been warned. Not a problem. Either you'll just end up naked and I'll get an eye full, or... you never know. Sweet daddy/dom. Thats one of my sex fantasies. :)

Sorry, Jade...

Been on the road... in my cage unfortunately 'cuz it was a damn fine ride down here to Austin, TX... reconnecting with my son after fifteen years. Well, next time I know where I'm goin' I'll ride the bike. Weather's been great, hot, humid and I even got sunburned in the Jeep coming down here.

Hey where they playing?
I rode to so many of their concerts!
One they had out to the lebenon Valley speedway where my buddy got rear ended by a car full of girls not paying attention. We were in stop and go traffic when she slipped off the brake and ran into his 1978 ( the first one ) Low Rider. The surprising part of this was how calm he was! We painted his tail light bulb red with nail polish and he could ride it home.

Enjoy the ride and enjoy the concert!

OMG, a Blue Oyster Cult concert!!! I saw them back in 1980 with Molly Hatchet. Brings back some good memories. I actually still have my BOC t-shirt... found it when moving clothes from the old dresser to the new one last year. I kept thinking I should let go of it, but couldn't make myself. They were playing a college town that was party central...had a blast!!! Had won the tickets too, so going free even made it better. Have FUN!!!!!

I slept with my bedroom window open last night...the peepers put me to sleep. But the dog heard something about 3:30 in the am and woke me up acting like she was gonna kill something. Probably a coon or possom...I got up and looked out, didn't see anything...but she sure thought something was out there...little Brat...had to get up at 4:30 for work so kinda messed up my last hr of sleep.

Have a good one everyone!!!

Nope Jaded, I am not on your block...I am not on a block...live on a Twp Rd. and the only cemetary that is near me is the one where my horses and dog are buried. Kinda a "pet cemetary," only I am not going to try and bring any of them back...lol! But my backyard is pasture, then a hill, then my woods start near the top of the hill. Steep hill, fun to come down, but it is work going up...lol.

Hope ya had a good day at work. Mine went well...only 1 more for me, then 4 off!!

Hello to all the "new" folks and hugs for the rest of ya! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!! My weekend starts Mon.!

Hello gang,

...hope everyone has had a great saturday, been cloudy, and muggy here 'bout all day, but no rain, and we do need some.
...Wanna welcome all the newbies, make yourself at home, and get to know us, we are like one big family here, althobeit, scattered all over the globe. We all share the same enthusiasm of bein' on 2-wheels, and enjoyin' the freedom such a hobby/lifestyle brings. Welcome... :)
...Thanx for the heads up doc, sure sounds like a good cause, altho it is a bit of a ride for me, If I ever get to ride again, I would certainly enjoy that ride. Hope they have a great turnout, for such a worthwhile cause. We have a ride here next week, not even sure if i'm gonna do that one, lol, it just ain't the same since this new gr-daughter came along. Worst thing, she ain't even said papa yet, and I'm already her lil' puppet... :D
...Sounds like ya also live in the country sassy, don't think I could ever live in a city/neighborhood. Sounds a lot like my place, pa always said it was 2 hills, and a holler, course we have woods, as well, but the hayfiels, and even the pasture are perty steep. Don't care, its still in the country, and wouldn't trade it for nothin'...
Just curious, as to what part of Ohio ya live in, i have folks who are bukeyes... :) Also was wonderin', why 12 days till ya get to ride..?
...Congrats on your trip dinny, sounds like ya had a nice ride down, for a great reason...I use to own a jeep myself, CJ 5, gawd, that thing was a monster...
...I tend to agree doc, with vaboy, we do have it goin' on....I know thats 3 from the ol' dominion...
...Hiya whspr, was a beautiful sunset here as well, looked like a fireball, fallin' into the ground...hope ya have had a great day...
...Hope everyone has had a great weekend to this point, kinda waitin'and hopin' they get the race in tonite. I even went to the liquor store for some 'race refreshments'...

..everyone keep smilin', and keep ridin'... :D
....makes 'em wonder what the hell you're up to... ;)

What a day, I was out on the mountain trails with my brother in laws 2 stroke enduro today, I must have put 80 miles on that thing, lots of trails in the Adirondack mountains.

Thanks, Snake

Had lunch with him and his wife yesterday, and went to his party tonight... This was his 30th... tried to think of something to tell him to look out for, but he's too young to understand prostate problems and I couldn't think of anything else to warn him about except weight gain. Lucky kid got two Gibsons... his wife gave him a brand new Hummingbird and I gave him my '76 Gibson RB 100 Banjo, so he'll be busy for a while. His wife won't let him get a motorcycle, but that's balanced out by the fact he won't let her get a tat, so what's fair is fair, I guess... all in all I'd call this trip a big success.
