Biker's Run..........................

Just droppin in to say hi.

Hazy , sounds like it was a great concert and not far from my resting place. Been out of town all weekend with a terminally ill father-in-law.
Saw a dead concert in Utica in 74 , Would go to the utica brewery first for the tour and collect all the unused sample tickets. Hey , when funds were low it was a cheap drunk.

Hi Crvygirl, The folks here sure know how to make you feel welcome.

Secret, Sorry I usually ride with just the solo saddle... might be a tight squeeze.

Jaded, Looks like I'll have to wait for the next time to try out your burgers. Too bad about the responce but there's always next time. That bike show sounds like a good one so maybe I'll see ya there.

Helmets, Boy there a topic that can go on for a long time. Nobody can dipute the safety factor when sliding your head on the blacktop but... Does it come with a price? Full coverage sounds great, but... with all that weight and only one pivot point your neck usually looses. The good thing,,, Your face looks great in the casket. I'm a lucky one... My neck was broke at C5&C6 right before Christopher Reeves broke his in the same spot. I guess it's all up to fate. I live in NY so I don't have a choice about wearing one. I do choose a half helmet but a DOT one not the $15.00 plastic scull caps you see them selling. The half style helps me turn my head easier and it's lighter. I also hear better

Good morning, everyone... :)

Wow, it's a humid morning here in the little town of Woodbury...! Slept last night with all the windows open and on top of the sheets not between them.

NYWings I hear ya on the helmet debate. I am using a skid lid right now. I find it a lot more comfortable and especially like the better hearing with a skid lid. However, I still have the first helmet I bought which is a Hondaline full helmet made in 1975. It is a origanal GoldWing helmet. You know sentimental reasons. I matchs my bike nicely. No need for a face shield because of the full Veter fairing... :D

Actually Snake I made it three months before I went back to work part time...! I had repaired everything that was broken and was beginning to break things so I had something to do. There wasn't a worm in the yard I had used them all fish'n. I know I had to work part time or go crazy.

Secret good luck on the job interveiw. Honey they would be getting a steal just to get you. I don't see where they would question your ablity.

Dinny sounds like ya got a hell of a T shirt collection going. I want to pick up a couple of Sturgis T shirt. But I want to buy them right at the gathering... :D I will be there one day... :D

Webbo street bikes really don't make good dirty bikes mate... ;)

Lorelei_11 sorry to hear about your medical problems. Hang in there it will only get better... :D

Well today is my day off and I'm hungry. I am planning on a nice breakfast for a change before starting the day. Want to wish everybody a great hump day. Catcha ya all later... :)

They do when I'm on them RAFLMAO

Got it nice and dirty (and myself)

Any of you ladies wanna come and get dirty with me :D :D :D

Morning All, Some t-storms are still rolling through here. As far as helmets, I have a fulmer trooper DOT half helmet. I like the lighter weight and being able to see and hear better. On the subject of living in the country.....I love being in the country! There's no place better to live! Everyone have a good one!

Helmets, did someone say helmets?

I usually wear my trooper helmet like Wings, it's light and I can hear what's sneaking up on me... I've also got a three-quarters lid I bought in Breckenridge about seven years ago and a darth vader rig from Shoei that set me back five bills and two hundred more for the electronics... but it is heavy as hell and uncomfortable on the neck and offers as much protection after 15 mph as the trooper helmet. In fact, just wearing it for more than an hour could break your neck.

Jade, I'd like to say I'll see you at Sturgis, but that would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Every trip I take, I stop in at the local Harley shop and talk bikes with the local sales guys, pick up a couple of shirts, at least and head on down the road. Got shirts from Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, California, Nevada, Texas and of course, Colorado. The wife had to move all her clothes so my shirts could have their own closet. Now, if my bikes could have their own garage... dream on.

Good afternoon, everyone... :)

Well it has started raining and thundering here. We're on tornado alert until 6 pm. Bike night at Corey's has been canceled.

I did manage to get my tomatoes planted before the rains came and got a haircut. I was starting to feel a little shaggy.

As far as running into one another some year Dinny at Sturgis...! It's really a small world... :D

So help me J - if you ever go past here on your way to Sturgis and don't stop and pick me up - I'll hunt you down. I bet I can catch you too.

Tight squeeze may not be a bad thing…..just snuggle in nice and close – like spooning only on a bike. ;)

Din – you sound like me and my fire department t-shirts. I have quite a collection from all around the US. Boston, 2 from San Fran, Chicago etc…….will still accept donations from anyone that has a FD T they would like to give to a deserving gal. Yeah - I'll take the shirt off your back. But I'm just like that ya know. ;)

There is no doubt that you make be able to catch me...! However, at 6 foot 2 inches tall and 200 lbs you had better have one hell of a layed out plan when ya do... ;)

For future reference if your go'in with me to Sturgis be well aware that I sleep butt nekkid...

another rider

Ride a rigid custom chop. Can't do long distances, but around town is fun as hell. Hello and greetings to all the fellow riders here

Oh hon - I've brought down bigger prey than you. I didn't take Marine Corp self defense training, and Police Officer Tactical Manuevers for fun ya know. But they do come in handy when I am trying to handle a particularly rough customer.
And the nekkid thing - well babe - I've neve worn a thing to bed yet - except for a smile. :D

..Take care all, and ride safe...

Good evening, everyone... :)

Thursday down and one more day to go... :D The weekend can't come fast enough for me.

Just learned that one of the people I am working with is on vacation next week and I have to cover for him. That means I am working everyday next week. That sucks big time and I don't mean in the good way...

Well I do hope that everyone had a great day today.... ;)

Wow, I did a lot of reading here, to much so stopped. :) Looks like the tornado watch went well there. That would seriously freak me out, we don't have tornados here.

They're worried about flooding on the fraser river here. Where I live I think I'll be alright. Normally there isn't anything like hurricanes or tornados. Although, we did have the first level of hurricane winds through the winter, several times. Had to boil the water and 3-4,000 trees down in Stanley Park. Trees down everywhere but no serious injuries.

I think I'll be o.k eventually, its just in the meantime thats difficult, but I'm getting through it. :)

Life is too good, man...

It's so good, I actually did yard work today, and waited till sunset to go for a putt... and man, it felt good, too. Goin' down to see my tat guy at Scarred for Life in Boulder tomorrow to see about getting the back of my right hand done, gotta balance out the package. If nothing else, I can always leave a colorful corpse.

G-mornin' gang,

...Sounds like a good idea dinny, I been thinkin' of a new tattoo myself. Always a big decision as to what to get, as well as where to put it. Haven't had one in awhile, but it has been weighin' heavily on my mind of late.
...Won't be to bad jade, just think like us ol' workin' class. It'll pass before ya know it, besides, its alwaya good to help a friend/coworker....Hope ya get to unwind o'er the weekend, with that young bakrest...
...Know all to well the effects of wind damage lori, still have the remants here from a wanna be twister a few years back. Some i had to clean up, and some I simply worked around, in cuttin' the fenceline back thru, etc...Seems our storms have gotten worse for several years now, is one reason why they worry me so much anymore..Hope the river doesn't get to high, and cause you or your any problems.
...Early Friday mornin', hope everyone has a great day, I know mines gonna be good...

...Ride safe, but ride.....

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's a rainy morning here in the small town of Woodbury, CT. With everything I have planted I don't mind the rain. My strawberry hanging planter as small strawberrys forming on it and my tomato plants have buds forming. I am hoping that it is going to be a good growing season. Tomorrow is supposed to be a half way decent day so I am going to try to get some saddle time tomorrow.

Lorelei_11 we do get hurrianes and tornado here in Connecticut. But Woodbury itself is surrounded by mountians. Very seldom do the storms amount to much simple because they loss stream coming over those mountians. We do get downed trees and the occassional loss of power. Worst I can remember was downed trees and no power for three days during a winter blizzard. Thats when the camping gear comes handy... :D

I hear both of you guys. I still have one that I want done on my right forearm that I designed. I also have a second design I am working on for my left forearm. However, I have some big expenses coming up and there going to go into a holding situation for the time being.

Well gang time to get ready for work...:( It would be a excellent day to kick back with a good book and a pot of coffee but I have to get through on day to get through.

Another reminder about Super Sunday at the Hartford Expo center this weekend.

Have a super great day... :D

Good evning, everyone... :)

Woohoo it's finally the weekend... :nana: It's rainy and cold here in Woodbury. It is supposed to rain periodically all weekend long... :( The good thing about Super Sunday is that it be held indoors on Sunday.

Well I hope everybody made it through Friday ok.

Thats good, you don't get the hurricanes and tornados there. I heard about that storm, I've talked with a lot of people from lit on the phone. Power out in the winter. Yes, camping gear and fireplaces. :)

Its supposed to rain here on the weekend. I love the rain, unless its cold and to much wind. I have a chest infection and having trouble taking antibiotic, having side effects. Taking a half dosage now, so I can just stand the side effects. So, not feeling great, but o.k now. Been in bed a lot.

About tattoos. I see a couple of you talking about them.

I watched this reality show about a tattoo place in Vegas. It followed the tattoo aritsts and went in the shop showed people getting them and talking about them.

I gained a huge appreciation of tattoos. Those peoples tattoos had such significant meaning to them. I loved their stories about why they wanted the tattoo and what it mean't to them.

For me, it always felt wrong to put something on my body like a tattoo that I couldn't remove. To permanent. Now, if there was something I thought of as that meaningful, I just might get one at some point.

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's another dreary cold overcast morning with a fine drizzle falling. But at least it's a day of rest. We are supposed to have scattered showers all this weekend...:( I have the Super Sunday show tomorrow. That will break up the boredom.

Memorial Day weekend is next weekend. I am going to get my chores done before the weekend. Hopefully it will be sunny. Sunday morning my backrests wants to go down to Marcus Dairy resturant in Danbury. A lot of people meet there for breakfast then head out for a long scenic ride after breakfast. I think we'll take a nice long ride up route 7 into Mass. then back home. Monday I want to veg out at the patio table with hamburgers and hot dogs. A quite day remembering the guys I knew that didn't make it back from Nam.

Sorry to hear about your chest infection Lorelei_11. Hopefully the doctor can get you on the right meds to clear that up.

Well gang I am off to make breakfast. Want to wish everybody a great Saturday. Catch up with you later... :)

That's interesting Lori...

and I know a lot of folks think that way about tats, but personally I've always felt it was the content of a person's soul rather than his skin that made people what they are. I was raised in a family that believed only sailors, ex-cons and bikers had tattoos... then I got to a point in my life when I said why the hell should they have all the fun? Besides, I noticed I was riding a bike and had been doing so for many years, most of my friends and acquaintences were bikers, and I was hanging out with mostly bikers. I started to think maybe I might be a biker too. I have a lot more fun since I admitted I was powerless over my motorcycle and whizzed on down the road of life, leathers, tats and all, a self-realized human.

Thats sounds really nice, breakfast and a ride. Others that meet there to do the same thing.

I'm sensitive to all medications so have lots of trouble with side effects. I'm on a half dosage now, can just stand the side effects, but i need to take it for the chest infection. Just getting through it.
