Biker's Run..........................

Tick, tick, tick.......

Good morning, everyone... :)

Day two of salvaging some of the data on my PC... :( I have decided that once I recover as much as I can I am going to have a second hard drive install in my little Dell to backup data files onto. I really don't want to go through this again...

Sassykat got your PM and I will get you directions and check on a reasonable place to crash. As far as Whspr goes I doubt seriously if you'll be able to get her off the scooter she bought... I figure by now she is book'n all over town in a full set of studded leathers... Be'n as bad as she wants to be!

Cyikac, hope to be talk'n with you soon darl'n

Once again another reminder about Biker's Run 1st Great American Cook Out. The clock is running down. This will be a history making event. This is your chance to meet and rub elbows (or what ever else ya wanna rub... ) with the people here on are thread. I don't wanna hear the crying later on... ;)

Ride safe... :)

Although we love seeing your bike it is not necessary for those traveling long distances or those planning to drink a little to attend on a 2 wheeler. There are times when a 4 wheeler is a better choice than reading about you in the newspaper. Those planning to attend please PM me so your name can be added to the list attending.

So who else is planning to attend…

Be a part of this historic moment. A part of the legend of Biker's Run. Can you hang there with the best...? It will be something that your grand children will tell the story. I need to know before August 11th if your comings!

It's another overcast rainy day... :(

Poured rain here as well...lots of trees down...unfortunately ontop of lots of cars I noticed as I drove home tonight.

Lets hope for reasonably sunny weather for the 18th...if not then we'll have to find inside activities now won't we...

Everyone have a great evening.

Actually I still happen to have one of my ol'e board games from when I was a kid called "twister". As I grow up (now that's debatable...:D ) the game took on a new meaning of naked twister. Which it would not belong before we would loose interest in "naked twister" and start playing "hide the salami"...

As much as I would love to be coming...I can't attend the picnic. I just PM'd Sassy and told her. I tried to beg off work cuz that is my weekend to work but there are only 5 people who carry keys...one is working overnight that week and one is on vacation...so I can't get outta there. I'm bummed about it. I would love to meet all of you. I hope I have an opportunity to do next time.

Hope you all have a great week...:rose:

And, yes, Jaded...I'm loving the scooter!!

Good morning, everyone... :)

First off it feels good to be online again with all my friends... :D

It's another overcast, hot, humid day here in the small town of Woodbury, CT. It hasn't started raining here yet but there are clouds surround me and I can hear the distant thunder.

Today is a day off for me. I was going to do the laundry this morning. Then I am going to make the Jack Daniels tipsy cake(s) this afternoon. I can put the in the freeze and add the confectionary sugar on top the day of the cook out. Now this is going to be a first for me with this recipe. I am not much of a baker. But I am a very determined guy... :) BUT, I have a ace in the hole too! I have Cyikac to bail my sweet ass out if I drop the ball. I am a main course type guy... :D Cyikac darl'n I think I am going to take you up on the offer of that table and extra chairs offer...

Want to come on and wish everyone a super duper Monday... ;)

I am gonna beat you all to death reminding you about are Biker's Run Great American Cook Out. I have decided to add my specail BBQ sweet onions to the menu. Figured the would just add to the pulled beef and pork sandwiches. My cook outs are always decidant. It good food, good friends, and got times... :nana:
The clock is ticking down to the Aug. 11th cut off date... :(

I am very sorry to hear that you will not be able to attend the cook out Whspr. Now if someone was to send me her phone# she just may get a phone call from the gang that Saturday... :)

Ride safe... :)

Well gang I have to work tomorrow and everything seems dead. I'm heading off to bed.

Cause I for one am getting ready for the picninc by going out and shopping for it.
How are you this evening?

Went and bought my brisket for the BBQ beef this am. Am also trying to figure out what to bake...ok what kind of cookies does everyone like? I also am making a few other baked goods but they are a secret...I'm doing some experimenting myself.

Hope you are having a great week...and an even better night.

hello gang,

...Hope everyones hump day has been a great one. Great day here in the western tip of the ol' dominion, hot and muggy, but no afternoon storms/floods like we have been havin'. I came in yesterday afternoon, to find a top blown out of a big poplar, on the driveway to the house, I managed to get by, and took the 4-wheeler, and chainsaw back and cut it up, and outta the road. We did have a helluva rain, it fell 1-3/4 of an inch of rain, in 'bout 20-30 minutes, makin' a helluva mess, but still not complaining, we need all the water we can get...
...You are doin' a good job, of keeping the ol' thread goin' jade, you and cyikac, keep it up, i may get this mess caught up 'round here sometime, and try to get back more often. Still in the process of movin', and have signed to auction my ol' place off the last of this month, so gonna hafta get busy, gettin' my garages cleaned out, and moved.
...hope everyones gettin' plenty of ridin' time in, I ride to work daily, but thats perty much been the extent of my ridin'. The liquor cabinet is gettin' a tad low, so may make a trip to the 'alphabet' store Friday or Saturday.... ;)
...Sounds like ya both are doin' some serious preparations for the big cookout/shindig, am sure it will be a grand ol' time, and only wish i could be there to enjoy it as well..
...Hope everyone has a great Thursday, got a picnic to attend tomorrow for work, kinda a safety/awards type thing, and then am thinkin' that will do me for this week as well, much as i got to do, can never get enuff time off..

New asphalt is more attitude, then it is road....

Wanted to say good evening to everyone. Hope everyone had a great day.
I am heading into a 4 day weekend....... :)

Gonna take my baby out for a ride this weekend. Got me a black jacket with pink flames on it...just so the menfolk know that it's a woman riding by them, lol.

Good evening, everyone.

It has been a miserable hot and humid last two days.... :( I am happy it's the weekend. Well it's time to get serious about the cook out. I have to start putting together all those little details together to bring this thing all together. I have to start collecting the paper plate, plastic utensils, etc. I can do some of the pre cooking like sauces and so own been store them in refrig.

Sorry to hear about your un expected tree triming. It was several years ago the I had a big branch break off a pine tree in the front of the house. The landlord was notified about it but did nothing. It hung there for two days. I was concerned with the kids that were curious about it. I was afiad that one of them was going try to crawling up on it. If it did break free the weight of the limb would have hurt them. I took out my chain saw and took it down myself. It was fortunate I had a pick up at the tome. I had to haul it to the recycleing center to get rid of it. We have been getting T - showers frequently. More thunder and lightening than serious rain. It's been a fairly wet year.

OK everybody you have only to August 11th to let me know if you are planning to attend are Biker's Run Great American Cook Out. Christ I don't know many people that turn down free food...? Be apart of this historic moment... :D

Ride safe... :)

What a week it has been. Let me tell you. First of all my painter turned out to be a fruitcake. Literally. He lied and Lied and Lied. Was getting no where on my bike come to find out. Finally on Tuesday found out he was involunatarily committed to the local psychiatric hospital and had hardly done anything on my bike. So scramble time. Found a new set of tins on eBay that were a take off to upgrade the paint job to a Harley custom set. Got them in today and they are in great shape, just as advertised. Now I will have a black bike as opposed to my earlier two tone. That is until I can save up enough to get that custom job I want. I went and helped try to get it all put together today and we are missing only two items. The front axle and the bearings. Pretty vital items but they wil be here on Monday. Should be on the road by Tuesday. Tuesday is the 7 week mark and will be the end of one of the looooongest 7 weeks of my life. Whew..........

Now I am looking for something custom to do to the take off tins and replacements that I got used. I have a couple of options in mind. Patriotic Flames, or perhaps take it back to the old Harley days with a retro paint job. HMMMMM what to do, what to do.

Sorry to hear about the bike bro. My ex broither in law did some great lacquer custom bike paint paint jobs. He did one for a show bike I'll never forget. It was a Harely of course with fat boy tank painted in black lacquer. They pin striped a yellow spider web on the tank. I have now idea where they caught a black widow spider. They applied a clear coat on the tank and layed the spider out on the spider web on the tank. Then they kept clear coating the tank and wet sanding it between coat until they reached the piont of where you could see the spider but couldn't feel it. It looked so cool. The bike was called the "Black Widor" of course. It was a trailer queen. I don't know if it even ran. It was loaded with chrome. It was a cool bike... :D

Just a quick drop in to say G'Day and to wish you all great rideing

Morning All, we made through a lot of strong storms yesterday and the power stayed on...for now...There was tennis ball size hail just to the West of us and a house and a barn burned down from lightning strikes at two different locations. One guys storage shed with a bike in in blew over smashing the bike and another of his sheds blew across the highway.

Doc, Sorry to hear about all the bullshit going on trying to get the bike back up. Hopefully it's done soon.

Cyikac, what did you pick up for a bike?

Everyone have a great weekend!!!

Good morning, everyone... :)

Woohoo, it's the weekend... :nana: Now if if the humidity will only disappear. Last night a t-storm came through and caused damage to some of my tomato plants. We actually had 1/2 inch hail come down for a while the walk ways and roads were covered. But then again that New England...

I need to go down stairs and see what cook out supplys I have left over from last year. Then make a list of what we'll need. I am planning to bring my smoker up today. That will come into use next week. I have still a half a bag of Jack Daniels hickory whiskey keg chirps left over from last year to give that pork a little extra flavor... :) I can bake the Jack Daniels tipsy cakes today for the cook out and freese them. Then all that will be need is to thaw them out.

Doc, I hope everything goes together ok for ya... ;) That you don't run into any more snags.

Webbo always good to see you drop by mate. I sense the weather is improving in your neck of the woods and your out bike'n... :)

Hazeny be happy the storm missed you. It was late in the season for hail. Have a great weekend... :)

Well gang it's off to start my day. Want to wish one and all a great Saturday.

Still another reminder. You have only 7 days left to let me know that you are planning to attend the Biker's Run 1st Great American cook out. There can only be one first time remember. Then once the actual count is made I can do some serious cooking... ;) Don't miss out!

Ride safe... :)

A Honda 750... a lot smaller than the Goldwing I ride down south so a bit more easier for me to manuever.

He (I finally decided on the pronoun I am going to use, lol) is coming home on Monday as I am building a shed this weekend.

We are hot and humid in the Old DOminion today. A great day for just sitting on the porch and sipping iced tea...spiked with just a splash of something good.

That would be a bad idea for me. When I get drunk I get naked and look for a table top to dance on. Nothin would get done... :(
