Good morning, everyone...

The humidity broke last night and a beautiful breeze came up making a great night for sleeping.

I finished making my list of things that I will need for are cook out. I am planning a trip to the grocery store shortly. There is a lot of planning that goes into a successfil cook out. A lot of behind the scenes work to insure that fun is had by one and all. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain so it will be a excellent to start some of the pre cooking. There are some thinks that can be frozen and other things that can be just refrigerated. I like making some of my sauces prior to allow the favors to marinate and blend before using them. Everyone knows that men make the best chefs... That anything a woman can prepare an man can prepare better. Now with that said I can sense every woman that posts to this thread or has ever be on Lit hair is standing straight up on the back of there necks... So ladys please accept this as a direct challenge... If anything Jaded excels it's two areas. The kitchen and the bedroom (ok, not always limited to just the bedroom. I am very creative.)... Don't whine and cry take me off my high horse if you think you can... I love a good challenge in either area. I just love to stir things up....

I am proud to announce (or re announce) the first Biker’s Run get together and BBQ…

The rescheduled date will be; August 18th, 2007.

The location will be; my place in the sleep town of Woodbury, Connecticut nestled in the beautiful hills of Litchfield county...

Who is invited; the good members of Biker’s Run (and very naughty biker chic’s… )

Rule of attending; damned if I know…! We never had rules before…! This is like Vegas, what happens here stays here!

All joking aside this is your opportunity to meet some of the great people on this thread face to face. It will be a day good food, good friends, and good times. Just a day for you to relax in the warm sun with your extended family. No pressure and no egos! Just laughter and lots of fun.

So who all is cuming so far: Cyikac, SirGary, Sassykat, and myself…

The menu for the BBQ will be: (anyone wishing to bring a entrée please PM me so it can be added to the list and you will receive credit for it… It also help avoiding duplicates)

. Pulled pork BBQ sandwiches made with my special homemade Tex / Mex BBQ
sauce made with tequila.– Jaded.
. Jaded’s Polynesian Honey Glazed Chicken Breasts – Jaded.
. Cyikac's BBQ Beef in her own sauce... ...Cyikac.
. Jaded’s Homemade German Potato Salad – Jaded.
. Cyikac's Homemade Potato Salad - Cyikac.
. Cyikac's Homemade Cole Slaw - Cyikac.
. Vegetable Kebabs with a Peppercorn Sauce – Jaded.
. Jaded's BBQ sweet onions - Jaded.
. A tossed green salad - Jaded.
. Jaded's Jack Daniel's Tipsy Cake -Jaded.
. Some small bite desserts - Cyikac.
. Plenty of ice cold soda – Jaded. (this is a BYOB affair)

I will be supplying…

. Kaiser rolls for the BBQ pulled pork
. Tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cucumber, raisins, crotons, and a assortment of
dressings for the salad.
. Condiments (not condoms! Supply your own… You know you’ll fall right out
of the Magnums that I us…!) such as; Ketchup, mustard, mayo, salt, pepper, etc.
. Paper plates, plastic cups, plastic eating utensils, and paper napkins.
. Ice.

Jaded has a supply of Mardi Gras beads for those naughty biker chic’s wanting to show or rub their tits against ol’e Jaded…

This will be the first in a series of Biker’s Run BBQ’s. They have always been about promoting friendships.

Although we love seeing your bike it is not necessary for those traveling long distances or those planning to drink a little to attend on a 2 wheeler. There are times when a 4 wheeler is a better choice than reading about you in the newspaper. Those planning to attend please PM me so your name can be added to the list attending.

So who else is planning to attend…

Be a part of this historic moment. A part of the legend of Biker's Run. Can you hang there with the best...? It will be something that your grand children will tell the story. I need to know before August 11th if your comings!

As far to the rest...ahem...remember behind every great Chef was his mother...a woman I believe. I accept the cooking challenge...my BBQ Beef against your pork, my potato salad against yours...and any other challenges you care to throw out,lol.

And I have tons of plastic wear, etc should oyu need anything extra. Just let me know.

Oh, and challenge excepted. Loser has to has to roll a peanut done my sidewalk with her tongue only. No need to bring the peanut. A good chef always has a peanut for such fun ocassions (pictures at 11 folks... ).

I need to do laundry today and get some house cleaning done. You know us single guys and house cleaning... In my defense no one has died after being here...

Good evening, everyone...

Son of a bitch it's hot. We only got a few passing rain drops today... The fik'n humidity went from a 40 % to a current 75%. It's supposed to be worse tomorrow. Next chance of rain is Wednesday...

I did get the laundry done today. I ordered a 8 lb pork butt for the Alabama pulled pork. I will pick that up Wednesday night. It will marinate in Jaded's own dry BBQ rub for 48 hours. Got the Jack Daniels hickory whisky barrel chips. I am planning to cook it slowly in my smoker. I will start cooking at 4 a.m. Sunday morning and it should be done before 8 p.m. that evening.

There is absolutely no way I am going to push that peanut down my side walk with mt tongue...

Sorry I haven't been around much. I think I took care of all the necessary pm's. I tried to catch up here a bit.

Cyikac ~ really glad to hear that you got a bike that you can have with you and a building to store it in.

Snake ~ Sounds like you and everyone else here are getting the type of rains we have been getting...Either the short burst down pours or the all day'ers. We had a great day for rain Sun and we needed it so bad, just smooth and steady, my little creek out back was dried up except for a puddle here and a puddle there. And if it isn't raining, it is hot and humid as hell...

Jaded & Cyikac ~ glad you are having a little battle over the food and who makes a better chef...that way we know the food will be exceptional!!!!! And the menu makes me drool every time I check it out...Seeing what is on it, I may bring a little surprise of my own...different than what is on the menu or let you all know next week if it is a repeat, so you guys won't have to make it too. Have to think about it. You two are doing so much work.

My humble opinion from just life experiences...Men do make great BBQ chefs, while women make wonderful indoor cooks...Thanksgiving dinner type meals...just my experience...not taking sides on this one till I try it all out...lol!!!

Haze~ Glad to hear you are getting some riding time in...I haven't got as much as I would like, but am planning some riding the end of this week and weekend.


Doc ~ I really feel for ya on missing your bike, because of my own stupidity...a DUI...I didn't get to ride mine for a couple of years...and it sucked big time. Hopefully yours will be back together and running soon. Good luck to ya!!!

SecretLover ~ I think KW has been really busy this summer and doesn't get here much...I figure you'll see him more as the weather cools down.

Hi Sassy...yup you just entered the peanut war zone,lol. Me, I'm not worried about winning or losing this battle. Time and tastes will tell. I tend to make more "high end" styles of dishes cause of my training.... though my homestyle isn't bad either. I'm just looking forward to a day of relaxtion, good food, great conversation, and I think Jaded's got a few party games lined up....something about Twister.....though I think a nice friendly game of poker would be fun too. Ok you guys, I know where yuor minds are going,lol.

It was a hot day today. I was just relaxing getting off some directions to my place to those attending are cook out...

Althou it may not end up being the highest turn out people wise. I am going to lean with Cyikac that it is going to be the wildest. I can smell it in the air. Those of us attending are get wound up....

Now Sassy I some how seem to sense that you want a little of this competition. Step up girl I can always find a second peanut that you can roll down my side walk... Actually I need to recharge the batterys in my digital camera. This is going to be a Kodak moment if there ever was one...

Cyikac don't get to neverous about the camera. No face shoots... Poker hu. Let me see if I remember. It's shirt, shoes, and then pants right... Or are we just all starting out naked and go from there...

I decided rather than buy some pickles to go with the BBQ sandwiches that I would make some fresh dilled ice box pickles. Lady's who luv's ya...

Well I a posting to are site via a loaner PC. I'm little Dell has a problem that I can't figure out so I took it to a place I've used before. I have been running back and forth there for a week now. Finally a talked them in to letting me use one of there used PC that they are selling. Hope fully I will get mine back in a few days.

Well, it's being to feel like the cook out is more a reality now. I picked up the pork butt for the pulled pork today and made a fresh batch of Jaded's beef/pork BBQ rub... The meat is in the refrig marinating. I am planning to cook it in my smoker Sunday morning. The Jack Daniel's tipsy cakes are in the freezer. A fresh batch of Jaded's Tex/Mex BBQ sauce in the refrig and some home made dill sandwich pickles in the refrig too. I ordered Kaiser rolls from a speciality bakery here in town. I am beginning to get geared up...

Whspr, Secret, and Snake believe me I wished that you could be here also...

They didn't have anything like that when I got rid of my long. I think that's pretty neat. Way to go big guy...
