Good evening, gang... :)

Well, it's being to feel like the cook out is more a reality now. I picked up the pork butt for the pulled pork today and made a fresh batch of Jaded's beef/pork BBQ rub... ;) The meat is in the refrig marinating. I am planning to cook it in my smoker Sunday morning. The Jack Daniel's tipsy cakes are in the freezer. A fresh batch of Jaded's Tex/Mex BBQ sauce in the refrig and some home made dill sandwich pickles in the refrig too. I ordered Kaiser rolls from a speciality bakery here in town. I am beginning to get geared up... :D

Whspr, Secret, and Snake believe me I wished that you could be here also... :(

They didn't have anything like that when I got rid of my long. I think that's pretty neat. Way to go big guy... ;)
I'll be there in spirit sweetie......when you feel a tug at your pants and the slightest hint of what could be a tongue on your hot sac - well, that will be me.

 Someday

Going on Vacation hope some one will go & give me a lift if I have trouble on the Road ;) :D

I know what you mean...gearing up myself. Going to the farmer's market for fruit for the pies on Monday, already have the beef brisket for the BBQ, and cookies are in the freezer. :)

Taking the truck t the Ford dealership on Tuesday for a tune up so that when I hit the road won;t have to worry about anything. Thought about trailering the bike up too but not sure if I am ready for that endeavour yet.

Have a great evening.

And yes...got the directions. I am fairly certain exactly where you are...bet I have driven right past your place in the past.

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

It is a bright cloud less sky here in the small town of Woodbury, CT. Last night I actually had to shut the windows it got so chilly. Wednesday we had temperature readings of a 100 degrees and yesterday in the low 50's. There were people walking around wearing jackets the change was dramatic to many.

Well, Snake if you truly enjoy eating then you will have to attend one of my cook outs cause I truly love cook'n. I have a very diverse number of dishes that I cook. All thou I do cook a lot of northern try meals I also have a equal amount of southern meals. I can't deny I enjoy the rich taste found in good ol'e southern cooking... :) I didn't have any formal teaching like Cyikac. As a kid in New York I grew up in a disfunctional family. I had a mother that was a pharmaceutical drug addict. She would be stonied and sleep on her bed most of the times. My dad worked two full time jobs to pay for her addiction and keep the house going. So at a very early age if I wanted to eat I needed to cook. It got to the point were I was cooking for the family. So I've been cook'n for more years than I want to admit too. What I find exciting about this particular event is I've never had the opportunity to cook with some one trained. Getting to cook with Cyikac to me is going to be exciting. Then Sassy told me that she is also thinking about bring something. This is yet another cook from another region of this country. Bring yet another style. So I am pumped... :nana: Now I am really gonna show my age but I think I would really enjoy living in a commune... :D Were everyone brings a skill to a large open family style living! I think I would like to have been named something like "Moon Doggie"... ;) This to me is exciting. The food will be very decident. This will be a cook out for those that enjoy good food! Not to mention the orgy that follows... :D Oh, shit did I say that out loud...

I want to wish everyone a super greater day. I won't be gett'n much ride'n in this week. I will be busy wrapping up the loose ends for are gathering.

Today is the last day to let me know if your planning to attend. It will be a weekend of good food, good friends, and good times............

Ride safe... :)

First off...Sassy is bringing kisses from me to everyone...make sure you collect or I'll be sad. <grins>

Second....J...I'll be leaving you a number in PM's later in the week so you don't have time to lose it. <giggles>

It is a pretty day here in Ohio...and it's been awhile since I took the scooter outta the garage. I think I may just do that sometime today. Riding it usually makes me giggle and smile. I could use a little of that today. :D

Hope everyone has a good weekend. :rose::kiss:

Aw now....I could say the same about you too you know. I enjoy sharing ideas with a fellow foodie...I have always said there are a 101 ways of making chicken tetrazini and no one way is the correct way. Sure there are the classical recipies, but it is when a cook makes that recipie their own...that is what makes me excited. I do hope others decide to come to the party...or wlse we are going to have a ton of left overs, lol. Though maybe we could extend this into a 2 dayer.

And commune living...not a bad idea. Everyone pulling together for the good of the community...we could do with more of that.

Everyone have a peaceful weekend...and lots of ridetime.

Dear Abby,

I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision.

I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs...phone rings, but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently, although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them."

I sometimes stay awake to look out for her cab coming home, but she always comes walking up the drive as I hear the sound of a car leaving, around the corner, as if she has gotten out and walked the rest of the way. Why? Maybe she wasn't in a taxi at all?

I once picked up her cell phone, just to see what time it was. This caused her to go completely berserk. She quickly snatched the phone out of my hand and cursed me hysterically, screaming that I should never touch her personal property, then accused me of trying to spy on her.

Anyway, I have never broached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. I decided I was going to park my Harley Davidson Lowrider next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the street around the corner when she came home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my motorcycle that I noticed a small amount of motor oil leaking through the gasket between the rear head and rocker arm cover.

So... is this something I can easily repair myself or do you think I should take it back to the dealer?
:D

Sassy....clean up your PM's as I couldn't reply to you.

Everyone have a great one!!!!!!!!

Done!!!!

Wishing everyone a good one too...when I get off here I am going for a little putt...so that will put a smile on my face!!! :)

Good evening, girls and boys... :)

Today was a interesting day. Perhaps I am getting a little to carryed away with this cook out. On the list of things I want to make for are cook out was vegetable kebabs with a green peppercorn sauce. Doesn't sound difficult until you try to find green peppercorns. Found black one, red ones, and white ones. I had to go to three different towns until I located green peppercorns. Other than the color not sure what the difference is. I do know there double in price over the others... I am definitely up for this... :nana: I did manage to get the lawn cut and have the smoker upstairs and all set up to use tomorrow morning.

To quote Cyikac : " I have always said there are a 101 ways of making chicken tetrazini. " Cyikac there is actaully 102 ways. I released yet another version. It is in my new cook book soon to be released and at your local Barnes and Noble - "Cook'n with Moon Doggie"... :D

Hey Whspr what this...
" Second....J...I'll be leaving you a number in PM's later in the week so you don't have time to lose it. <giggles> " You just call me a air head... I resemble that statement! I mean resent that statement. We'll be sure to give ya a shout...

Hazeny enjoy your weekend my friend.

Sassy enjoy getting your face in the wind... :D

As per SirGary...I did take that scooter ride today <wearing a helmet in fear of a proposed spanking>. I took some beautiful back roads ...just enjoying the sunshine. Passing a house, I looked in a yard and under the apple tree stood a deer and her baby....made me think that world is really a wonder for us all not to take for granted.

Kisses to you all.....and ride safely....

Good morning, everyone.... :)

It's a beautiful morning at 57 degrees. Made for great sleeping last night.

Whspr, sounds like you had a nice ride. Most of the trps I take are mainly country back roads. When I do get to go out for a putt it is to get my head on straight. I don't want the hassel of heavy traffic and nut cases. It's me time (and possible the honey on the back). I also enjoy fishing. I have spent a entire day and never caught a single fish. However I spent that day listening to nature and relaxing. I need to do that every now and then.

Well, I over slept this morning so I didn't actually start cooking the pork butt until 6 am. I love the smell of food being prepared in a smoker. It's that slow mesquite charcoal cook'n that releases the flavor. I am letting the coals come up a little more ands I have my hickory chips soaking in water for a day. I will toss a few of them in on hot coals to add a little different taste to the meat. I don't know I just seem to lock into a zone when cook'n for good friends... :D

Well, the rooster of those attending are Cyikac, SassyKat, SirGary, and myself with a possibility of a mystery guest... I did a check on the 10 day weather forecast via MSNBC news and next Saturday it is supposed to be sunny and 83 degrees. So it will be good food, good friends, good weather, and good times. I am still going to put up the screen house to limit bugs and provide shade. I seem to sense that this party will be going into the late hours... :nana:

The plans for today are to get some house cleaning done. I also want to pre make the basteing for the vegetable kebabs and the green peppercorn sauce. I will keep them refrigerated and it will allow the ingredents to blend... :) I need to pick up some chicken for the Polynesian honey glazed chicken breasts (it's on $ale... :) ). That will stay in the freezer until Friday morning when they go into the marinate. Who said you can not eat like kings... ;)

Well gang it's off to check the smoker and see how it's doing catch ua all later... :D

Ride safe... :)

Good morning, everyone... :)

Jumping on quick to wish everybody a great Monday... :D

We have 5 days until are Biker's Run Great American Cook Out...woohoo... :nana:

Ride safe... :)

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's a overcast morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury. Sleeping has been great. The nights pick up that faint chill and you end up sleeping like a rock.

Today I need to do a lot of running around. Still need to pick up the chicken, veggies and soda etc. I'll pick up the ice on Friday and ice down the beverages for Saturday... :D After all there is only three days remaining until are first cook out. Saturdays weather predictions are supposed mostly sunny with a high of 75 degrees and a low of 52. Only a 10 pecent chance of rain. Really looking forward to meeting everyone... :)

I want to wish everyone great riding weather this week.

Ride safe... :)

Good Morning as well. Another hazy day here in the Old Dominion-starts out cool but by the end of the day it will be hot I'm sure.
Was up late last night prepping for teh party myself. The beef is all cooked and ion the sauce, the potato aslad and cole slaw are marinating, the pies are cooling as I type this right now (they went into the oven at 0530) and to top it off I decided (as if I didn't have enough to do) to make a huge pot of Jamabalaya and some cornbread to bring into work today. Of course I had to make 2 kinds bcuase we have a few vegans working at our place...but it's easy to keep going once all the prep work is done.
Hope everyone has a great day...it is Wednnesday afterall which means the week is half over (htough in my case I am off the next 5 days :) )

Good evening, everyone.... :)

It has been a very busy day. I just finished up making the German potato salad. I still have to dust my bedroom and put new sheets on the bed. Then I get to take my shower and go to bed... :) Got work tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately I have bad news to share. Just got off the phone not to long ago with SassyKat. Unfortately will has to work this week end and can't get out of it. She would have let us know earlier however her computer have a bug and crashed... :( It won't even boot up. She has a friend that is going to look at it for her. Sassy we're gonna miss ya. Like I said anytime you and/or Whspr want to come by my door is always open. We are gonna miss you. By the way guys she sound really cute... ;)

Spirit!

Well I hope everyone has the best darn weekend BBQ and party! Actually I'm sure everyone will and I only regret I can't attend...

I want to share this with everyone and I actually thought about it for some time because the news is good and bad...

I have a good friend who just had a bad accident on her bike.

She's my buddies girl and has been his backrest for about a year now. She wanted a bike of her own and she took a motorcycle safety course to get her license. She's been looking for a bike all season and they finally found a nice Yamaha Virago 550cc . For about a week and half she has been taking little rides each day. Always with another experienced rider and she has been doing great. The one fellow from the bike safety instruction actually took her out for a couple hours last Saturday. My Buddy took her out for a nice ride in the country on Sunday to.
They were on the way home as she was rounding a pretty sharp curve. My buddy was out in front and saw Brake lights of the SUV that passed him come on. He didn't see his girls headlight anymore so he turned around.

He found her 60 feet from the guard rail face down in the field.

Seems our SUV driver got a call on his cell phone and wasn't paying attention as he swerved into her lane. She took evasive action and went for the shoulder. It was a sharp turn and she ended up hitting the burried end of the guard rail. This was like a ramp that launched her and the bike in the air. The bikes engine and front wheel caught the one post of the guard rail to catapult her off.

She was rushed to the hospital and at this point has a lot of broken bones.
Both shoulders , ribs on both sides, her spine has several fractured vertibre and her collarbone and rt arm.
My buddy got himself arrested for "obstruction" cause he told the cop to take his report in the hospital... The cop was more interested in finding drugs or drink on them.

She is strapped to the bed with a huge collar on so she is immoble.
She asked my buddy how bad her bike was and he told her it was repairable but needed a new crankcase.
She said she has one goal right now and thats to ride the bike before the season ends.

We are all so lucky to still have her with us and her spirit is so strong!

Lets also be mindful of what happened to her as we enjoy a ride... It can happen anytome...
The guy in the SUV stopped and was an EMT as was the one neighboring home so she had quick aid which I'm sure helped.
The driver did something that surprised all of us... He told the cop he bent down for the phone and admittted her swerved into her lane.
I think the cop was dissappointed he couldn't get a DUI on a "biker"

As mad as we all are about the local Barnie having an attitude about bikers at least we have a lot to be thankful for.

Take care... and please ride safe

Morning All, I'm very sorry to hear about your friend NYWings. I'm surprised the cage driver fessed up. He's still going to be in a major bag of shit with failure to keep right and on the phone. I hope your friend heals as fast as possible and fully. The other problem with cell phones are people texting while driving. Five 18 year old girls were killed near Rochester a few months ago while the driver was doing just that. They drifted into the oncoming lane and hit a tractor trailer head-on and were all killed instantly.

Everyone have a blast at the BBQ tomorrow and take some pics!

Doc, how's the bike?

Everyone have a great one!!!
