Biker's Run..........................

Hello all... Hope everyone is doing well.

NY Wings... sorry to hear of your friends accident. Cell phones and PDA's are gonna be a real problem. Glad she has a positive attitude. Good luck to her.

Jaded... hope your BBQ goes well. Looks like nice weather. My daughters birthday is this weekend, so my travel was in a different direction. However that is now cancelled as well, as a close friend of mines father died last night. Not going anywhere now.

Sorry to hear Sassy isn't gonna make it. And yes Jaded,, she is a cutie!

For those of you in the HEAT,, I hope it cools some. I was in St. Louis last weekend in the 100+ stuff in traffic, and the Wing didn't want to run well... vapor in the gas maybe... once it cooled a little it was fine. Never did it again.

Have a great weekend all and good luck with the BBQ, Jaded.

^5's to the guys
:rose:'s for the ladies

Stay safe.

Good eveing, everyone... :)

Well Cyikac arrived here yesterday safely and as I expected a very interesting young lady. I can honestly say I am a lucky guy to have her as a friend. I can say that most of the people I have actually meet in real life have never been a disappiontment. I have meet some incredible people.

Snake I sent you my phone number. We will be looking forward my friend to talk with you.... ;)

NYWings I am so sorry to hear about you friend. It is also sad one a law inforcement office pre judges the scene before having the facts. Al thou I don't know her I want to wish her a very speedy recovery. I do hope that she gets her wish to be back up on her bike before the end of the season. However, her health is the most important. I am sure with a good friend like yourself that you will monitor her recovery. I hate to hear it when any biker goes down....:(

Hear ya on the cell phone problem now days Hazeny. I recenty heard that because of people ignoring the prohibited use of the cell phone while driving the increased the fine. Initially the fine was like $200.00, Then they raised it to $500.00. But that had no effect. So they bumped it up to $1000.00. But I'll bet they still ignore it. When I am on the road I purchase a blue tooth ear piece. Last think I want to do is kill some one over a stupid phone call...

Hey NightWing it is good to see you back on the thread. Lot of people have been asking were ya been. Sorry to hear baout your friends Dad. Hope you daughter undersatnds.

Well gang I have to get back to do some last night cooking. Want to wish everyone a super great weekend... :D

Ride safe... :)

Glad to hear that Cyikac had a safe trip. If you two get bored she can show you my page on myspace. Have fun!!!

Morning All, I'm very sorry to hear about your friend NYWings. I'm surprised the cage driver fessed up. He's still going to be in a major bag of shit with failure to keep right and on the phone. I hope your friend heals as fast as possible and fully. The other problem with cell phones are people texting while driving. Five 18 year old girls were killed near Rochester a few months ago while the driver was doing just that. They drifted into the oncoming lane and hit a tractor trailer head-on and were all killed instantly.

Everyone have a blast at the BBQ tomorrow and take some pics!

Doc, how's the bike?

Everyone have a great one!!!

Hazeny,
I bet the cage driver is regerts his decision to admit to the officer he was on the phone and drifted over her lane.
I want to believe he is an honest person and just decided to do the right thing. I'm not clear as to when my buddy got into it with the cop but he is known to have a short fuse and his girl was his priority.
Update... She is doing well and the doctors finally got together to give her some good news. She is doing very well and healing. They are talking about releasing her as long as she can show she has home care to take care of her.

I didn't realize they boosted up the cell phone fines that high but after this I'm all for it.

Jaded , I'm sure your a busy boy right now getting everything ready ... My mouth is watering for all your delights you'll be having.... I bet your food will be great too LOL

Thanks to everyone for your support for my friend.

Feel free to e-me pics of all the good food and great friends I missed.
The weather will be fantastic guys! Let the good times roll!

August 18th, The Great American Cook Out.....

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's is a absolutely beautiful morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT... :) We had some violent T-storms come through last night that took out power for a few minutes. Current temperature is 54 degrees and very low humidity. Todays high will be around 74 degrees and sunny. Now that is dam near a perfect day.

Yesterday Cyikac and I set up the screen house. I moved a lot of the thinks we would need out there yesterday. The beverages have been iced down since about 8 pm last night... ;) I cleaned out the two weber charcoal grilles (I like cooking on charcoal best) and the gas grille yesterday.

NYWings you have absolutely know idea just how much food is here. On top of the things that was posted on the menu Cyikac brought three homemade pies. So with fresh homemade pie I had to go out and get ice cream. This is gonna be very decadent. We decided to cancel out the chicken just because we had to much food. I will be making the veggie kabobs and peppercorn sauce this morning. Then the Santa Fe salsa dip. I will be picking up the kiaser rolls at the bakery at 11 am. The actual cook out starts at 1 pm. With all the food it is probably gonna run for two days. This is going to be lots of fun... :nana:

I am glad to hear the good news about your young lady friend. I don't blame her bf one single bit. I also have been know to have a short fuse at times and have gotten pretty dam violent. I have had to learn to control that violence. Especially in cases of pure stupidity. My close friends are very dear to me. Having lost some good friends in Nam you understand the value of true friends and just how valueable that time with them can be... :) I am sure that she will have some good friends checking in to see that she is alright... :D I hate to hear about a biker down...:(

Well gang I need to get my sweet ass in gear... :D

Want to wish everyone a super great week end. Don't know how much I will be online.

Ride safe... :)

Post Biker's Run 1st Great American Cook Out Report

Good morning, everyone... :)

A fun time was had by one and all... :D Those that attended were Cyikac, Sir Gary, TigerJen (are mystery guest), and myself. TigerJen is a ol'e friend of mine. We have know one another for more years than either of us would like to admit too... ;)

The day was a perfect day. It was sunny in the mid 70's with a very nice breeze blowing through the screen house. There was a violent T-storm the night before that took out are power for a while.

The food was excellent and the friendships better. It is great to put a face to a name. It was very nice meeting Cyikac and Sir Gary for the first time. I had the opportunity to sit down with Cyikac and just talk. She is a very impressive lady.

That afternoon we where treated to a phone call from are good friend Snake. I at least got the opportunity to voice to a name. I was also treated to a phone call from another good friend Gutter Goddess. She wanted to attend the cook out but couldn't get away. Hopefully she will be able to get away before the winter for a visit to spend a weekend. We sorta keep one another centered. Later that evening we also got the opportunity to talk with Whspr. We were all saying that was to bad that Whspr and SassyKat weren't able to make the cook out... :( I have extended a open invitation to both Whsper and SassyKat to spend a weekend here in New England.

The party went from 1 pm to around midnight. Over all it was a day of good food, good friends, and lots of laughter... :nana: I spent yesterday cleaning up after the party. Today is my much deserved day of rest... :D

I want to wish everyone a super Monday... ;)

Ride safe... :)

..Good Morning Jaded...

The tomatoes were great and gone in thirty seconds...

...I can not say how nice it was to just sit back with old friends I have never met and just chat the afternoon away...I haven't relaxed so completely in a very long time...

I wanted to tell you also that I appreciate you making the special trip to display your Interstate...I am sure my drooling will wipe right off...what a beautiful piece of Wingness...

Tigerjen's laughing proved to be contagious and we did try to let her get a word in edgewise a few times...that bee that flew too close to her will never do that again...RIP

Cyikac made an excellant co-host and drew concern from me that holding a all day smile would begin to hurt after awhile but, come to think about it, we all smiled all day...

...one thing to keep in mind...Joan and Micheal...there is a lesson there... :D

........I hope we can do this again...it was a great time with friends...

...ride safe, ride often....

Good morning, girls and boys.... :)

Been very busy around the place trying to get everything done before the weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get some ride'n in on Saturday... :D Haven't gotten much saddle time in with the cook out, my neighbor moving, and the weather recently. We are coming up on fall and this area is beautiful during the fall foilage season... :)

NYWings have you heard any more on how your lady friend is recovering?

Well it's time for me to get ready for work. Want to wish everyone a super great day.... :D

Ride safe... :)

..from the garage of SirGary...

...it seemed painful but I got everything disconnected from the carbs...one more beer and I operate on removing them...

...Jaded1, I haven't forgotten about sending you my research on modern gas and the effects on pre-83 carberators...I will try to send them out next break to steady my nerves..

Whspr's bike has been sitting too long...hope she gives us another story of her adventures of this weekends ride..

Cyikac promises to post a pic of her new 750 soon...shame we couldn't talk her into posing in a bikini sitting on it...

.....for NYWing's friend, I better crack that longneck and get back to work...

Ride safe all....but do ride...

Just wanted to say good evening to all...wow when Jaded throws a party he throws one. There have been discussions for a late fall get together and a spring one. I highly recommend attending...know I will.

Hope everyone enjoys the evening.

Good morning, everyone... :)

Wanted to hop on quick to wish everyone a super great Friday... :D Woohoo the weekend is in sight. Looks like I am going to get Saturday for me... :) Have plans for saddle time of the two wheel kind tomorrow... :nana: I need it bad.

Well it's time to get ready for work. Catcha all later... ;)

Ride safe... :)

Evening All, Yes it is!!!! I'm looking forward to some cooler weather again. I was watching a t-storm move through yesterday and after one bolt I seen some smoke in the distance as the lightning started some brush on fire. When the heavy rain started it put it out quickly though. I plan on doing some riding this weekend around the t-storms. When I pulled the bike out of the garage today, which is 70 and dry, all the metal and glass was covered with condensation in an instant! That's how humid it is! Everyone have a good one!

Hey Jaded1, let me know how that shifter works for ya...

....I will follow your recommendations on that one...

..Have a great weekend..

... ...

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

It is a hot humid morning here in the little town of Woodbury, CT. Even the air is thick and stinks... :(

I have been busy this week and planning a nice relaxing day today. Starting of with a good breakfast of bacon, eggs, and my very own home frys... :D Then its over to the storage unit to get my bike out. I need to hose her off a little first. Then wipe her down so she really shines. Sort of male and machine bonding thing... :) She just seems to run stronger when shes clean and pretty. Have no real direction set for this morning it will be were ever the wind takes me... :D

Want to wish everyone a super weekend... ;)

Ride safe, but ride naked...

Good evening, girls and boys... :)

I can't believe it but it just seems to get'n hotter outside...

I went over to the storage unit to take the bike out today. I haven't started it in about two months. I have had been very busy or it would rain on my day off. The battery was dead. So I had to remove the battery and bring it home to recharge it. In just that short time in that steel storage unit I was soaking wet. I put it on my battery charge for a slow deep 2 amp charge. It is supposed to be a duplicate of today on Sunday. I may hold off to go ride'n until Monday. This dam humidity is supposed to break Sunday night. Thank god for A/C... :)

Recieved a email from Cyikac today. Seems that she is a bit under the weather. She was in the hospital last week taking tests to isolate her no energy problem. She has to go back in next Friday for more tests. She is at home resting currently. Please join me in wishing her a speed recovery... :D Oh and it was not my cooking...

Hope everyone is finding a way to stay cool... ;) This heat/humidity is killing me... :(

Why thank you for the kind words. Wasn't your cooking at all....folks he is an excellant cook. I think we should open a diner together, serve just plain good down home cooking. Breakfast and lunch only so we can go riding in the evenings.

Sorry about the battery. Hope Monday is a wee bit cooler so you can get out.

Drink lots of water.

Well the words came from the heart ol'e friend...

Now about that diner you where talking about... Actually I think instead of plain good home cook'n we should gives some of these yankee's some good ol'e fashion lips smack southern dishs. I sampled a peice of your rubbarb pie and darl'n you turn this ol'e boy's ass round about the way I think of rubbard pie... :D
I already have contacts for top quality meats we would need and I am sure i could talk to the good people there at Jarjura's on produce.

I think about are biggest problem would be trying to figure out what to do with all that money. As I mentioned I already have friends interested in being money backer should I ever decide to open up a resturant.

I wonder if there is such a thing as a five star diner... ?

However the important thing right now is getting you back to healthy. If I remember a certain ytoung lady was told to get bed rest. Young ladys that don't do as told get spanked... ;) Sweety we want you healthy again... :D

Well this body is hot and sweaty. I need to hop in the shower and rinse off. Ya know ladys my arms are pretty big and I have a hell of a time get'n the center of my back. It would be muchly appreciated if one of you gals would join me in the shower and get my back for me... I am pretty sure we could come up with a way to thank you... ;)

Drink lots of water... Wer'z the beer... :nana:

Ride safe. But ride naked... :D

...Cyikac, you better be resting....or I might be second in line for your spanking...

Orange County Choppers had thier dedication of thier new chopper factory...of course it will also house the merchandise they peddle also. The location for those who want to make it a rest stop of a destination, it is in Newburgh, NY on route 17-k...near the intersection of I-84 and I-87 (NY thruway)

Senior, Junior, and the famous Mickey were all there with about two hundred people and news crews to kick off the event followed by a tour of where the new show will be filmed...

It was hot but the ac worked good in the new building...

Afterwords, a lot of us lovers of bikes met up at the local Holiday Inn for a comedy night...with yours truely being asked to volenteer to help with a juggling act...of course crowds don't bother me and I even got a few laughs as I threw stuff to be juggled into the mix...a good time had by all...

...Cyikac....don't make me come down there...be good...

Ride safe...ride healthy... :rose:

Ok,Ok....you guys win. I am trying real hard to be good but the bike looks so lonely out there. But the thought of you guys coming after me....wait what the heck am I saying, lol. I promise to take it easy till all cyllinders are firing. :)
The weather, however, has been another factor. They even called the Skins game last night due to the lightening we've been having. Even I know it's foolish to be riding out on open roads on what is essentially a large lightening rod.
Looks like more of the same hot weather today.
Going to check out the local Honda Club in a bout a week. They hold monthly meetings at the local shop (not where I bought my bike. It's the shop where I walked in to look at bikes and it was suggested the little lady bring back her man to help her pick out her bike  ...ahem). Be nice to find some locals here to do day trips with.
Everyone enjoy the last day of the weekend. Ride safe if you're on the road.

...bring back the man?...wow...that was definately the wrong thing to say to you...

I am glad you are getting some rest...and riding is considered rest in my book...what say you Doctor Jaded? <second opinion needed>

Ride safe sweetie...

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's the start of another hot/humid day...!

Cyikac it should be interesting pulling up to that other dealership you new bike and watch the expression on the face of the salesman that tried to sell you a bike. As a member of the Honda club it will be easier to find out up about coming events in your area. But please take the 4 wheeler. Oh I meant to ask you how did the windsheild come out and did they replace the tank. My concern with them replacing the tank was matching that custom paint scheme... OK now get that hot little body back to bed and rest...

Sir Gary, it would be very difficult for me to voice my opinion at this point. I have not had the luxury of seeing her medical folder. I would also want to perform my own IN DEPTH physical. Althou I can assure you it would take her mind off of her situation. In this weakened state she may not be as responsive or receptive to the extreme intensity leaving her in even more of a weakened state after. Not good... :(

Today I plan to cook out on the grille. I have been eating poorly recently and need to improve my eating habits. I picked up some boneless chicken breasts and have them marinating in a homemade roasted garlic marinate. I want to make cajun blackened (my own spices) chicken on the grille today. I have potatoes left over from last weekend so I was thinking of mabe preparing them in a nice butter and herb white cream sauce. Picked up some fresh butter and sugar corn at the local farm so that will be on todays menu. If I am not mistaken I also have a container of raspberry/cranberry sauce in one of the kitchen cabinets. Not sure about dessert yet... After a small spat with backrest she is planning on coming over later for dinner today. She is into the super natural and wants to do some ghost hunt'n. There is a very old grave yard here in town that is reportedly very active with spirits. Having seen the series "Ghost Hunters" on satellite TV I got out my digital camera and night vision. It should be a interesting evening. Who knows we just may get lucky... Ahhh, dessert... :p ...

Checked the battery charge and it shows the battery to be fully charged. It is raining very lightly here right now. Hopefully it will break the humidity and tomorrow it will be a refreshing day for ride'n.

Well gang enjoy the rest of the weekend... :D Try to stay cool...!

Ride safe and ride naked... :)

Geez, with the 2 of you looking out for me I better get well.

Yeah, I can't wait for that particular guy figure out he blew a $7000 cash sale. It's gonna be sweet, lol. I was gonna join the club that rides out of the dealorship I bought it at, but they meet on the 1 day I work late. This local club meets on my day off. Let's hope the members are at least friendly.

The windshield is installed as is the new tank. Great job on both. They matched the custom color beautifully...msut have a local guy who does it. Was thinking about having some more paint done- just gotta decide what to add.

Hope your little cookout tonight goes well and that tomorrow you'll be able to put some miles under your tires.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Good afternoon, everyone... :)

I got back a little while ago from taken the Wing for a run. My bike was originally equiped with a heel toe shifter. The operation was a bit arkward especially getting it back into 1st. So I removed it and decided to try riding it with just the toe shifter. Well because of the floor boards thats not a easy task either. So for the time being I reinstalled the heel toe shifter that came with the bike. I am going to have to research and see if there is any other shifter available after market. Other than that the weather was ideal. The humidity has died and it was really nice riding. Tomorrow is supposed to be a duplicate of today. Tomorrow it's one of my work day or I would be back out again. We're coming into my kinda weather soon... :D

Yesterday BBQ came out great. How ever it was a little hot and humid so we ate inside in the air conditioning. Back rest and I made plans to do so some ghost hunter last night. She brought a scarey movie in hopes of making me want to coward out... ;) That didn't work! We walked the old cemetry near my place. I brought my night vision equipment and she brought along a digital camera. I'll be dammed if we didn't pick up globules of light drifting in the air. In one of the pictures were I was scanning a sector of the cemetry she took a picture of me. I can't say exactly what it is but there appeared to be a image standing next to me. Please folks it wasn't anything harmful. Just seemed interesting. After spending a couple of hours wandering around we went to bed. But that was my first time and thought it was pretty neat... :D

Well happy to hear that both installations went well on your bike Cyikac. I am waiting for the price of the Garmin GPS units to come down in price and that is going to be next toy for my bike... :)

Well gang now it's time to head off to do laundry. Somebody's gotta do it.

Ride safe and ride naked...

Evening All, can't wait to see a bike pic Cyikac and from what I've been hearing you in a bikini on it would be ok too!

I'm off early in the AM to the dealer for a new rear tire. I have to be there at 8 and they figure a little over a hour to change it. I'll be all ready for the Fall riding season then. My son and I had a nice ride Sunday in the Adirondacks and stopped at a bar for an oversized lunch. We did get a little damp a couple of times with some drizzle but it still was a good time.

Hopefully Sassy gets her computer back up soon.

Everyone ride safe!
