I'm touched you noticed.

I've been ok. Work just hasn't left me with much down time to peruse Lit if I want to sleep. But I still drop in every once in awhile to catch up on my favorite threads.

A friend of mine had an alt she used for naughty times.. She would put a sticky tab on her screen to remind her she was logged in with her alter ego.

Until this thread I thought hsving one account was the norm.

I can’t even imagine having to pretend to be someone else. I’d out myself immediately. Plus I just say whatever I want to anyway.

I'm not sure it's always about pretending to be someone else. It can also be a way to maintain privacy here - for example, if you're well known in the PG, but also want to post anonymously in ampics.

And that needn't just be for privacy. It feels different when your friends compliment your pics - they're friends, so you expect it maybe? Compliments from strangers can have a different feel?

I agree with this. I actually thought about creating another account to post more, shall we say, revealing pics, and maybe for if I ever get round to finishing that story I've started writing.

I think though, that if I ever responded in words to anyone dealing with an alt, they'd know for sure it was me straight away. I don't think I could... type in a different voice. If that makes sense.
