Comments That Make Your Day

I've been thinking happily on and off about this all day, so I think it counts. A writer whose comic story I had previously admired, and who I'd followed, has started following me and commented on my comic effort:

'Properly bonkers and I properly enjoyed it.'

And they appreciated that one of my jokes 'is the kind of joke most writers wouldn’t risk.'
There are definitely some people, who shall not be named, that I would straight up fangirl die over if they left a comment on my work. I've gotten some from people I really respect and was surprised to get (mostly on my transgender story), and those are really nice, but there are a couple writers in my erotica space that I would be over the moon if they even noticed lil' ol' me at all.

Okay okay, I've got some of your stories on my voluminous "to read when I have attention span" list 😏

An amazing author recently added a bunch of my stories to their favorites. They're an incredibly talented, and dare I say good looking author. Really, someone to be admired and lauded as a true champion of fiction.

Lmao. I've seen people do this and I'm curious as to why. Is it a way of finding your stories easily, since they're in the Favorites folder?

I added them to an Intro to Anthros list I'm making. It's a few of my stories, as well as other authors who have very accessible stories that make it easy to understand for people who don't know about the niche. I've had several people ask me about anthros, and I figured it'd be easier to pull together a list of stories they can check out rather than go find all the links to the various stories that are good.

By @liliput1 on The Story of Nix - Part VI

I have been stubbornly avoiding sci fi themes here and picked up chapter one of this series as an experiment, the evening before last. And here I am now at the end, a day and a half later.

It’s so super gratifying when someone gets hooked. Makes all the effort worthwhile 😍

What is wrong with my brain that I've been mentioned 3 times in this thread and the second thing I think about is the other authors on my favorites list feeling left out because I haven't managed to give them an equivalent ego boost?

The therapy isn't working.

The site behaves as if favorites were added first, and then changed to allow people to make other lists without changing how the alerts are phrased, so all lists feel a bit like a favorites list in your activity feed.

Love your writing and ingenuity of this story. We actually have 5 couples reading this at are weekend parties, like a book club. The women think Tracy is spending too much time with Roger and feelings could change within Robbie and could lead to issues. They think Robbie should get more action to make Tracy think more before her blatant actions as of late. Can’t wait to read more and see where you take them.
It's part 15 of a series, so readership is low, relatively speaking. It's in LW, so scores also are. Even so, a message like that is pretty cool.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess I didn't make a new fan here. But still, this comment amused me for several reasons...
Should we try and guess the reasons?
1) They’re correct. People never, ever make really dumb decisions when in lust
2) Misspelling ‘principle’ is an intentionally humble thing to do when you’re looking down your nose at authors. It demonstrates strength of character.

3) the commentor has had previous experience in meeting sexy She-Demons and due to his superior intelligence managed to not succumb to her satanic advances and devilish negotiations.

4) The person didn't realize the character had had a lobotomy, but if they'd kept reading, they would've understood the appreciated how genius your foreshadowing was.

Right now, I'm in transition(pun sort of intended). Seriously, I just put that epic last period on my latest and hit submit. Look for Eclosion in a few days, if I'm lucky.
Up next is a bunch of C# .NET code that needs my attention. Back to the sexy stuff later...

Thank you, @THBGato , unlike the other commentor, you understood that him being too stupid, cocky and self assured to realize what he was getting himself into was kinda the point:

He he! That was great. What a voice!

I chuckled when I read this line: "If you make me cum first, I'll make sure you get fucked, all day, every day, for the rest of your life." She means it literally but he's too dopey to notice.

Assuming he has no underlying health conditions, I give him a life expectancy of around 36 hours. The last 12 are going to be ugly.

This is a gem of a comment in my opinion. In one comment, it demonstrates both a passion for workplace justice (Tug was the guy who had previously sexually harassed Rachelle at work, after which she left), and a balanced view of what is important in such a story ('a muffin on her snapper'). That is more or less exactly what I was aiming for.

“Liked this...nice characters w/ exception of Tug... and Shelly sporting a muffin on her snapper... and that Rachelle was apologised to, and came back at a more senior position....”

Not a comment, but someone went through and liked a bunch of my chapters in a row, even the chapters with a high-risk plot twist, all an hour ago. Hopefully they genuinely like the story. I imagine they got to a certain point in the story and just couldn't stop reading cause they had to know what happens next. It's also neat that they've liked stories from another author I like.

Thank you, @HelenL for reading and commenting. I realize supernatural tales aren't for everyone so I appreciate you giving The Bargain a chance.

Not my usual fare at all, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Especially the sneaky demon promises. "All day, every day" is *not* a good outcome, but it could easily seem so.

(Coincidentally, not entirely unrelated to the story I just posted, due in a couple of days.)

The framing is excellent, and while it should be a good audio script, I like the way it works as it is. I'm definitely going to have to visit more of the demonic world.

As I said at the end, Cozbi appears in many stories, but if you're interested in an easy way to learn more about her I highly recommend ResidentMadame's brilliant audio adaptation of Cozbi: Rise Of The She-Demon

she put a lot of work onto it, its not just a reading, it's a full performance with sound effects and music.

I really like stories where there's an unremittingly wicked character that you can root for. Cozbi isn't a sympathetic character, and I want to love her from a safe distance.
