Cookie's Haunted House

Some older thrillers I like...

"I Was A Teenage Werewolf"...it was fun to see Michael Landon turn into a werewolf

"The Blob"...a young Steve McQueen at his hunkiest

"Night of the Living Dead"...this almost looks real and makes it that much scarier

"The Bad Seed"...great movie but Nancy Kelly's whining voice was annoying

"The Abominable Dr. Phibes"...I love Vincent Price

"Freaks"...really different

"The Uninvited"....

"The Haunting"....

Any more thriller buffs out there?

I would add the movie "The Night Flyer" to the list. I think it was based on a Stephen King novel. You folks are great with the Halloween graphics and animations, makes me glad it's still 3 weeks away. Leaves lots of time for the fun.:D

Well you got just about everyone I could think of.

Hank Williams, Sr. Died New Year's Day 1953 from a combination of alcohol and pain killers he had been taking for about 4 yrs.

Another note, when Jayne Mansfield got killed we were on the same highway headed for New Orleans to visit relatives, we were about 2 hrs ahead of her. She had performed and was tired and wanted to rest, but had to get to the next town where she was going to perform. She was speeding and fell asleep at the wheel. We got to my aunt's in the wee hours of the morning and had to wait until morning for them to wake up and it was all over the news and they released a picture and it actually looked like she was decapitated... but it was later discovered that it was her wig. Mariska Hargitay, who is on Law and Order SVU, is her daughter, and was asleep in the back seat at the time. Her dad was called and the kids were gotten out of there as quickly as possible.

Also, John Candy - age 43 Mar 4,1994, heart attack in Mexico while making a film

Gilda Radner - 42 - May 20,1989 ovarian cancer

Alfalfa - from Little Rascals/ Our Gang - Jan 21,1959 shot by his friend in the stomach. After a night of drinking, he supposedly went to his friends apt, pretending to be the police and broke the door in, his friend said that he threw a knife across the room at him, he then shot him in the stomach and he died. These facts are not clear. Some say that Alfalfa was unarmed. But it was ruled justifiable. Supposed the fight was over $50 his friend owed him.

And of course, just recently, John Ritter, Sept 11, just 6 days before his 55 birthday, dissected aorta, a disease he never knew about, they thought he had food poisoning.
