Daddy's Little Girl - Fourth Edition

Careful where you step.
Always. And if it seems unsafe, I'll get to use shoes.
If it's summer here in the desert, that wouldn't be possible. The concrete gets hot and you'll burn your feet.
Well, here we seldom have that issue. Not that we have concrete streets either - it was once tested on the roads, and then it was back to using asphalt. (It's a winter issue. It didn't take ground frost well...) We may have a few days per year when asphalt in sunny places is too hot for walking, but then we prefer shade anyway.

This at least, I'd guess.

Me having to be on barefoot in the presence of my D any time it's possible. City streets count as possible., if it's summer...
I’m quite often barefoot around the house, though I do wear slippers in the winter to keep my feet warm, but on the street? I can’t imagine doing that!

I'm rather used to going barefoot on grass, even on the summer cottage on various grounds. Asphalt IS a challenge - not when it's clean, but there's often some gravel left from the winter, and that's like stepping on a piece of lego...

I hate shoes in general. I wear flip-flops almost year-round if I must wear shoes. It's the closest I can get to not having any on at all. I love to go barefoot, even outside, but it's out of the question on the concrete or the asphalt in the summer. Damn Southern heat, lol.

I think I got enough cuddles, but a little bit too much of other things. I really struggled with communication today. Oh well, something to write about in the weekly feedback.
Hopefully it's something that helps him understand what you need and ways to help him understand your signals. Good luck! :)
