Good afternoon to you as well!

I just finished writing chapter 6 of my story! This is the first time I've ever written more than 3 chapters of anything. And I'm going strong on this one. I'm very excited.

Very cool!! I’m good at academic writing, but not so hot with creative. All of you who can write creatively and put yourselves out the like that have my admiration.

I've always loved writing...been doing it, including erotic writing since I was in HS, 25 years ago.....(damn...was it really that long ago?) I've definitely gotten a lot better at it since then...matured a lot since then both mentally, as well as in writing ability.

But yeah, not everyone can do it. Some people are consumers, and that is OK. Because without consumers, I wouldn't be able to do what I do

Not stealing...just helping And not thunder...that might scare the littles.

For some reasons that brought back a memory. There was a store I was in once. That has a room dedicated to the town first. They had huge aquariums with poison dart frogs, plants and all kinds of cool stuff. In the back ground they were playing soft music of rain with the occasions gentle roll of thunder. I could have sat in there for days!

When I was a kid...My mother bowled in several bowling leagues...so 3 nights a week she was off bowling. Whenever there was a thunderstorm, and one of us kids got scared (there was 5 of us, and there always seemed to be storms back then) my father would calm us down by convincing us that the thunder was just the sound of mom bowling. Cause it did sound remarkable similar to a bowling ball rolling down a lane...and the loud cracks was when she got a strike.

It actually worked too. I used to actually stand at the storm door, watching the storm, and cheering every time the lighting and thunder hit.

It's 3:30 pm. I'm halfway through all my baking for the day (Biscuits are done, Rolls are almost done. English muffins are rising) AND I've managed to write 2,000 words for chapter 7 of my current WIP. bringing it up to 4k. And all 4k words are mostly one sex scene! It's a big important sex scene though...so I had to really take my time and do it justice. Turning point/growth moment for one of the characters...plus it's a lesbian threesome...so it takes time to please three women

And the 4,000 doesn't even include the foreplay scene that ended chapter 6...lol

Anyways...it's been a good productive day so far.

Cranky tired little here. Imagine a little not sleeping well for 3 weeks, except 1 night, and then being swept onto an overnight visit...

So I'm laying in bed and trying to get a little more rest before getting up and needing to be social. I would really just hide in a blanket fort all day if I could.

This is a quote from the Dom of the D/s couple that goes by _infinitedevotion. "You can have deep, close, loving intimacy, AND passionate, intense kinkiness with the same person over the long term." I watched that video last night and I was like, "Yes! So much yes!" He often talks about "holding space for her (his wife & sub) emotions". That is so important for me, and an important part of why I think Wolfie and I are so successful. I can be silly and happy, dancing around the house, and he will laugh and encourage me. Sometimes joining in. Other times, I'll come home and be emotionally exhausted by the day I've had, or we can be out together, and something will trigger me. He'll wrap me in his arms (and sometimes my blanket burrito), and speak softly and kindly to help me through it. He never implies that my emotions are invalid.

I think this deep, loving relationship is something that a lot of Doms and subs don't understand if they're just in a scene-based dynamic. Even if they only scene with each other or only in kink clubs. That's ok if that is what they're looking for, but some people we've met will say that we're not D/s because we're in a loving, long-term, committed relationship. For me, that's exactly why I was drawn to DD/lg. It seems to me that those of us here tend to be in longer-lasting relationships with our Doms. And I can be laughing and dancing, or curled into a ball and crying, behaving like any emotional child, and it doesn't matter. He is always there, my rock, my safe place in the storm. Then a few nights later, he can be so controlling and use me until I collapse into a satisfied pile of bunny fluff. Even then, it's like he flips a switch, and he's all about the aftercare.

Anyway, rant over. I just needed to get this out.

Makes me think of a meme "why not both" of exactly this theme, unfortunately I can't find it now.

Around here I know couples in person and online, who are doing both, some have been married for years and have kids etc. And they all talk about D/s. Some have 24/7 power dynamics. Some even total power exchange (TPE) which definitely isn't for all (my D is always an authority for me, but he doesn't always have the power over me, I wouldn't be ready for TPE.)

The love isn't always very visible to outsiders, but also being happily married son it's kind of implied.

We've actually met a few Doms and subs that are unattached. We met them at munches in other cities when we were traveling. We have attended random munches just to meet new people and get other views on things. The Midwest is a pretty conservative area here in the States. Anyway, they go to sex/bdsm clubs and hook up. They consider everyone pre-vetted since they have to be members, and the club does background checks. I thought places like that only existed in erotic literature. Maybe we'll find one of those places near us and find out if they have a. night open to non-members. I mean, the literature implies it is fairly common! Maybe we can find a real-life La Petite Mort Club I'd love to be a fly on the wall. Heck, maybe even play with Wolfie while others watch. I have discovered a simmering streak of exhibitionism in my soul.

I know of those. Well, not really couples in the traditional sense (as in someone you might present to your parents), but having just a session-based relationship. That's quite common when.

But in DD/lg and not a ldr? Don't knows of any.

Hello everyone, I came across this thread and figured I would see what traction I get here. I have a story idea I would like to write. It would definitely fall into this category. I have never been in a DDlg relationship, and know very little about it. I have read a number of stories on here and done some basic research into the subjects.but I would really appreciate getting to discuss the life style and learn from some of you who are apart of it. This is really for research for my story, because I want to try do a good job I'm portraying it respectfully.
