I think I've posted here.... I've had a couple of fuckbuddies... And they are a lot of fun. They ended because someone gets too attached or someone moves on. As far as the married question goes... Sure! But the moment they mention feelings, they gotta hit the door. I did that, and I ain't doing it again.

It looks like fuck buddies are in short supply everywhere. A female friend and I discussed this thread at one point and decided, however, that it is not really a fuck buddy that I want but a friend with benefits. I like the relationship part too much to exclude it. Not that I want anything that will upset lives, but being able to enjoy talking, etc. is a good thing.

I have a friend that I get to see once or twice a year, but that isn't enough. I want someone I can be with at least once or twice a month. I just don't seem to be able to find her in the Chicago area. Oh, well, the search continues.

I have had buddies that got way too involved...they get pissed if something comes up and I can not meet them...weirded out if I don't e-mail them or call them every day. Those guys are history. That's not what this is about!!! I have a life..a husband..kids..a job. It doesn't mean I don't think about my buddy all the time, but I am just in this for the fun. I am a loving woman, and each person I have been with holds a special place in my heart, but I am not looking for my soul mate. Pleasure me, I'll do the same for you, then lets get back to the real world, a better person for it.

Let's throw a wrench in here....in some cases..is not a spouse a "friend with benefits" Most marriages actually are between two people who are friends....

This is a good point, although I was discussing this with a female friend of mine and she hates the terms FB's or FWB's and doesn't believe in them. I for one need the the emotional side of a relationship because I believe the best sex comes with people you love and adore. It's not to say that given the right situation I wouldn't, but to this day the planets haven't aligned. I dont know, I guess I'm just a bit of a hopeless romantic.

the thing to remember here, before someone jumps on the bandwagon against "emotional attachments", is that there are different kinds of love.
We're not talking about the "falling in love" kind of love here.
We're talking about friendship love. The "I love you, but I'm not IN love with you" love. Personally, I can't have sex with someone I have no feelings for whatsoever. I guess that's why I've never had a "one-night-stand". Not for me.
My "friend with bennies" is/will be someone who I can talk to, share things with, have fun with.. just like being one of my girlfriends, only he's a guy so I can have sex with him, lol.
