So I know I've not been around lately, and I'm sorry.
However as long as work, travel and business permit we will be there come fall.

Well I told Tonie and now I will tell the rest of you.

I will not be able to cummmmm to the fall get together. I have a wonderful sexy friend that just found out he has cancer and I have been helping out. This person means alot to me and I, at this time, can't leave him. I go and help him when it is possible and to leave him would be impossible. I will miss all of you but you all know a piece of my heart will be there with you. This person wants his privacy so I will not mention his name. We have alot of history together and he has always been there to listen to me *bitch* so now the tables have turned and I will be there for him. I will ask all of you to just say a small prayer for him as a favor for me... Thanks and damn keep me informed as to what goes on. Love you all...

Yeah I did fall off the face of the earth for a bit, and will be in limbo for a while longer...

Sorry to have been a stranger, but between work, and a few problems that require my attentions be focussed almost soley on them, I've not had the time for even the simplest of personal pleasures.

On this note, It's to my dissapointment that I asked to be moved from the deffinate attending list down to the maybe. I just simply don't know if things will work out for me to be able to attend.

You will definitely be missed. We all understand that sometimes we have to make sacrifices for those we love.

If he's a friend that understands, you can probably amuse him with stories of what's probably happening and then compare notes to see how right you were.

Hi Tonie! Things are going good up here. I pulled a muscle in my leg, so I've been hobbling around a bit. Waiting to hear some good news concerning $, so I'll know if I can come down in September and October. Weather hasn't been really hot, just a bit humid.

Of course, now that I've mentioned it, we'll probably have a month-long heat wave.

Sue, let me know what you're thinking about for Oct. There's a group of MW fans that are trying to get together then so i'm trying to swing the $ for that, too.

I went in today and set up the furniture in my classroom. Tomorrow is a trip to the free teacher store and then a couple of hours unpacking my room.

If i forget to come up for air, someone send out a really cute lifeguard to save me, please.

Here's the scoop: The day of the race (Saturday) is the day I'm flying back from Florida. Changing my flight would cost about $40 extra (I've checked). I'd fly to Raleigh/Durham on Friday, which is MUCH cheaper than Charlotte, and leave Sunday. Rental car for the weekend is about $50. Hotel room for 2 nights is about the same as 1 night in Disney, so that would even out. Altogether, I'd be spending about $100, not including spending money.

The Litogether would cost me about $350-450, so October is much cheaper. But I'll have to wait and see.

Yep, already.

Tuesday is the first official day for teachers, but i always go in the week before to try and get my room set up. I had my appointment at the free Teacher Store this morning (it's run by the Atlanta Food Bank for teachers in low income schools).


They're trying to get the teachers to agree to a "balanced schedule" for next year which would mean we'd go back the end of July and the kids would start the first of August with more week long breaks during the year. I'm definitely not looking forward to that.
