Favourite Fairy Tales - Modernized and Eroticized

congrats, DN

on finishing your version of Snow white. Mine is still stalled, but seeing yours isn't likely to influence mine. I see it quite differently. that's the fun of several writers starting from a spot- it gives the readers a whole palatte of choice, and comparision, like an exhibit of expressionist painters- they all paint daisies, but no two are alike.

how are your views and votes?

Well it was just posted, but I've gotten 3 good feedbacks. No one's complained about my total aversion to the dwarves, yet :) However with 21 votes it's only a 4.29...some people really must have hated it.

For those who do, please forgive that it's also linked there :)

"only" 4.29????

I think that's better than average! Sure, we all want the 4.5 to get the H, but I'm happy with anything over 4. Sounds like I'm beat before I post even. Still, I'm 800 words in. Its a silly story, but someone might like it. I'm having fun writing it.

Welcome to the Club

Dear Firegirl,

Thank you so much. i am getting so many letters it takes forever to reply. Now i just want to write all day. I still do not know how to see my rating. I am computer illiterate. can someone please give me "stupid people" dierctions to how i can see them?

PS: I read For Love Of Snow White and i thought it was awesome. I had friends read it too. That was a well written story. If all fairy tales had been that intresting I would never have grown up!

I sent you a how-to pm. If it's not clear, just let me know :)

Thanks for the praise...I'm really really thrilled with the work. I think I may do more fairy tales in the future...just need to find the right story and think up a good twist on it :)

Ok...I wanna do this again since I had so much fun with snow white. I pulled up grimms fairytales on the web and found the story of the 12 dancing princesses.

Basic plot line...The king has 12 daughters. Every night they go to bed and in the morning they're exhausted and their shoes have been danced through. He tries locking them in...no diff. So he offers the hand of choice to the man who can find out where they go and what they do. Man after man fails, having fallen asleep. A soldier comes to the kingdom and is warned about the drug in the wine by an old woman, who also gives him a cloak of invisibility. So he pretends to drink the wine and fall asleep. The oldest princess presses on her bedframe and a door opens up...the soldier follows them down the stairs through three groves of trees (gold, silver, and diamond trees) and sees them meet 12 princes in boats at the waters edge. He sneaks into the boat of the youngest and watches them all night, then follows them back. The next morning he reveals all to the king and then chooses the oldest for his wife for "I am not a young man". The princes are enchanted for the length of time to equal every night they had danced with the princesses.

I have many many plans for this :) Just think of all the wonderful possibilities, especially with the magic world accessed by the oldest princess bed!

yeah, I also remember this fairytale, I really liked it when I was a kid.

In german, the title was something like: "the damaged shoes" (of course it sounds a lot better in german, I translated word by word)

I think it's obvious .... instead of dancing, each princess has hot sex with one of the guys .... or maybe even gang bangs (maybe there are more then 12 guys ... there could be like 24, 36, 48, 60 ....) so each princess is banged by 3-5 guys at the same time.

The soldier who watches them also get's horny. As it was already mentioned, he has this cloak of invisibilty. And the girls are so horny, they don't even notice that an invisible man fucks them ...

Nascaar you and I have VERY different ideas of what to do with this story. Feel free to write your version...mine will not involve gang bangs. :)

well, my version of Snow white is submitted. It is totally unlike DN's. watch for it.

This is the only thread I talk on...

Why is this ONE thread the only place at Lit you "talk"? I could understand one board only, but...

I had only just discovered this portion of literotica. And fairy tales is all that caught my eye. I will read others eventually, I really am a creature of habit and tend to stick with what I have already done. But I promise to go out and explore and post at no less than three intresting threads tosday!

smooches Lin and thanks for the praise :)

I don't plan for there to be a Snow White follow up per se, but I am working on another fairy tale adaptation (or I was until I realized that I only have 2 weeks until the end of the semester)

No tentative title yet, but a remake of the 12 dancing princesses.

I've cut the number of princesses down to 3 (12 means that I'd have to handle either sets of twins or have an age range of 18 to 30. Beyond that, too many names running around which would create annoyance on my part, much less my readers. Besides...I'm a huge fan of the number three...I'm pretty sure there's a mystical '3 is an important number' thing too).

Anyways, so we have 3 princesses. They've been avoiding marriage and are always limping in the morning. Beyond that, their father notices that the royal shoe budget has grown exponentially in the last year. What could be going on?

I plan to write it in a similar retrospective tone as snow white, but then deal with the oldest girl's married life and the plot she and her sisters hatch to free their lovers. I want them to get the happy ever after ending they deserve, rather than the soldier gets to be king ending that grimm wanted.

I think it will probably be done around the end of the year...other stuff has to come first unfortunately.

Well, DN, its not a fairy tale I know, so no competition on this one.

I look forward to your tale though!

I wanted to write a "what happens after cinderella marries the prince" story, but I think that Sondheim got it right in the second act of "into the woods" so I won't try to improve on greatness. And there's a modern day cinderella story coming out in the form of "maid in manhattan" which is the new jennifer lopez vehicle.

Were you thinking of any specific stories you'd like to do, hugs? I have no probs being flexible :)

never seen " After the woods" ( living in thw oods), so don't know Sondheim's version.

slate.com had a nice anti "maid in manhattan" piece by a writer who used to be a chambermaid ( proving only that good fiction really does improve on reality)

let's wait and see how " twisted Snow " does, then talk about another dare, or a collaboration. Does the emperor's new clothes discussion from earlier appeal at all? It would be more amusing than erotic, I think.
