Top Gun - one of my all time favorite movies.

The air shows here in S.FL are always too crowded. There are around 1mill people in a small beach area. A few yrs ago I got to watch them practice which was very cool because it wasn't crowded at all and you basically see everything that is in the air show.

Has the spring breakers left yet?

Top Gun IS my favorite movie. The quest for perfection, the power and speed of the jets, the music, and romance thrown in are but a few of the many things I love about that movie. I even went to Marimar to see where part of the movie was filmed. I just really have an affinity for that movie.

With that being said, the airshow at Tyndall this past weekend was nothing short of exciting. The obvious highlight was the Blue Angels, but there was so much to do there and it was just a ton of fun. The speed and power of the jets, coupled with the obvious adrenaline rush to fly one must be what intrigues me so.

There is another airshow this weekend at MacDill in Tampa. The Blue Angels will also be there. (More info on the Military thread, if anyone is interested.) I think a few of the Lit members are going and meeting up, which will also be fun.

No, the Spring Breakers are still there. I just love Panama City. It's a great place to get away!

Ok, so who else is sporting a Florida sunburn from this weekend?

I got mine at the Airshow in Panama City. So much fun!!! I loved it.

Something about the power of those jets that turns me on! I feel the need....the need.........for speed! (I'm a Top Gun Junkie. I love that movie!)

I'm sporting a nice south florida sun burn. First time getting some sun since I moved down here (from Tampa so it's not THAT drastic) and I didn't realize just how much more powerful the sun was. Luckily I am blessed with skin that turns brown from red within a day or two.

Well, I'm quiet and shy until you get to know me better. I like reading, watching movies, screwing around on the computer. Doing anything alone just isn't any fun for me so I havn't been doing much lately. Though I would like to meet someone to go out and have a good time with.

I guess I will venture into the more about myself arena. I am born and raised in Florida. I plan on NEVER leaving this state, because cold weather makes people stupid (sorry northerners but Brad Pitt hit the nail on the head in Kalifornia.) I work in an industry supporting people that most of society loves to hate.. I will let you all venture guesses as to whom I consult for . I love dogs, think cats are wonderful if you are submissive and looking for an animal to pamper, and my favorite color is green.

i'd say its just this town. born and raised. atleast its not far from cocoa beach, daytona, or orlando. and its nice to get from one side of town to the other in the matter of 15 minutes.

Been living down in Palm Beach for 8 months now....how long does it take to become a resident Floridan? I am into the beach and my white irish skin has just enough pigment to turn nice a brown. Work outside for most of the day. People here are nice and friendly, it's a change from the Northeast.
