George Santos

Congress doesnt file those

Only Prosecutors do

So we will never see any papers filed

But you and the author know that

Nice try
Where did the post say anything about Congress?

read it, DEAR GOP

How do Republican goobers keep falling for this?! The House had to find the Hunter Biden documents themselves. Several crimes proven. DOJ, rather than indict, held a Santons case as “insurance,” and then arrest him on the day or a major Oversight Committee press conference.
The GOP is a party. It is not Congress.

...and now McCarthy says he won't support Santos for re-election.

Guess someone put the foot on the weenie's throat today. 😘

McConnell most likely. He understands that Biden is unpopular and if they are smart they can take control of both the Senate and Presidency. But Trump HAS to go and so does everyone caught like Santos

how crazy is this, though:

Santos faces a maximum sentence of 20 years on the top count, the US attorney’s office for the eastern district of New York said. He will not have to relinquish his seat, though according to House rules, members sentenced to at least two years cannot vote or be on committees.
there really needs to be some regulation that has a jail sentence as an automatic disqualification to hold a position in the Senate or House

Wouldn't work because elections come round much faster than criminal cases against politicians are brought to trial. Ideally, any party of substance would reject the Santos' membership and vote forthwith - But the future of porcine aviation is a more likely prospect than that!

Democrats Find Way to Force Republicans to Confront George Santos

Representative Robert Garcia introduced a privileged resolution to expel the embattled New York representative from Congress on Tuesday.

Georgie Porgie, goin' Bye-bye?

Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., introduced a resolution in February to expel Santos, something the House has only done twice in recent decades and requires the approval of a two-thirds majority. He brought the measure Tuesday to the House floor under a process that gives lawmakers until Thursday to dispense with it.

Republicans could vote to table the effort. They could also refer it to the House Ethics Committee for consideration, which House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., indicated was his preferred route. Both efforts require a majority vote. Republicans could also just allow the House to vote on Garcia's expulsion resolution, but that is unlikely.

  • House Republicans successfully quashed an effort to hold a vote on expelling George Santos.
  • Democrats offered an expulsion resolution to put the GOP on record about the criminally-charged congressman.
  • But Republicans moved to refer it to the House Ethics Committee, effectively tabling it for now
In the meantime, the criminally charged congressman will continue to serve as a loyal vote for Republicans.

The pressure puts the Republicans on the wrong side of the tracks on this (and they know it), which is reason enough to keep pushing and publicizing it.

Given that the new Congressman George Santos has admitted his lies and dishonesty: What should he do about it? What should Congress do about it? What should his party do about it, bearing in mind that the party presented Santos to the voters as if he was an honest candidate. Obviously the electors themselves are in no position to do anything about the situation without Congressional or Party leadership.

I am particularly interested in the response of Republicans because I guess that of Democrats is fairly predictable.
Congress has the power to expel him. But as long as they are going to keep Democrat Adam Schiff, a known serial liar, as was proved by the Durham Report, they may not move to do so. I say expel them both.

santos' communications director quits

“With respect for my colleagues, the people of New York, and most importantly, myself, I am honored to tender my resignation,” Naysa Woomer wrote in her resignation email, reported Scripps News. “Unfortunately, you never took one point of professional advice given,” she added in a clear dig at Santos.

Do you have a list of those Schiff lies?
