Morning everyone.

The competition went great, he got second in forms, third in sparring and third overall for his age group. For his first competition I was tickled for him. His trophy is 6 inches shorter than he is. Looks like this mom is going to be doing some traveling in the future to different competitions. We shall see where to.

Kayte.......thanks for the wishes and encouragement, we had a good time but it was a long day. That silly little guy of mine hates having anything in his mouth (he gags at the dentist if they use regular gloves) so getting his mouth piece in was a chore. I finally cut it down to close to nothing and covered in in powdered candy so he wouldn't taste it. After the competition I went and bought more of the candy to put in his bag.

Neffers.......its great seeing you here in GA, please stop in often. Outside responsibilities have me running lately and I just don't have the time I used to anymore. Such is life.

I think we will have a good time with it. It will give the two of us the opportunity to travel, spend time together and see different places. All good things in my book. I think it means a great deal to him also to have Mom behind his activities.

I know there are competitions coming up in Jonesboro (Atlanta) and Savannah, but I think we may wait those out, he is testing for his next belt next Saturday so he has more to learn prior to the next match.

Hello to all of you wonderful people...

I know that I should be ignored for not dropping by sooner... The only excuse I have is of course being busy... But I did want to say that I miss chatting with everyone here and I will try my best to drop by more often...

Sunday morning at 0230 will be 2 weeks since LAW's Unit deployed and I am still trying to find my routine... The Lord has blessed me with 2 of the most wonderful angels in the world and their patience with me and this situation has been more than I could ever ask for... The worst part is watching them deal with things and feeling like I can never do enough to help them... But they are holding up well for me...

So that is me for now...

I'm back in full form

Well, guess I need to explain my recent absence, huh??? After returning from visiting the Duke, I came down with the flu and I was pretty much out of it for over a week...when I recovered, I started cleaning up my tiny cabin and sorting through a 9 yr accumulation of junk so that the Duke would have some room for his stuff.

I warned him that I was a pack rat but even I hadn't realized just how true that statement really was! I found catalogs from 1999 that were buried in stacks of papers on my bookcases and in boxes!

It's been two weeks since I've seen the Duke and I'm really, really looking forward to his & Skylar's arrival here on Sunday here in the north Georgia mountains! I promise you that he will get a ROYAL welcome!

The Duke arrived here around 4:30 AM - tired, but glad to be here! As I promised he got a royal welcome We talked for an hour or so, then went to bed and talked some more

We're both tired today, but we'll 'try' to get more sleep tonight.
We'll be unloading the U-Haul today and tomorrow and fitting his furniture into my tiny cabin - the rest will go in storage for awhile.

GG - let me know which weekend you want to celebrate your birthday
