Hi everyone. Well it's official, I am now in Georgia united with cajunpeach and let me just say there is no place like home! It is soo beautiful here!! CP has made me feel right at home, and though I've been busy with unloading and unpacking, we are really enjoying our being together.

I'm looking forward to staying in touch with you all, and there is more to do today, so I must be brief and will post soon.

IB....how are you holding up? Like I said before, I'm not far away, let me know. I've never been in your shoes but I can be supportive.

Kayte.....how are things in your world? How is the job search? What about the move? Des and I spoke for a while this morning, I'll let her fill you in on that one.

Duke....how goes things for you and CP? Absolute harmonious bliss I imagine. That is so fantastic, happiness isn't easy to come by these days.

CP....how is the Duke fitting into your space? As for the birthday, I'll have to get back with you, my brother is having his knee reconstructed the end of next week so I'll be sticking to SW GA and helping him however I can, having been there already myself. Actually, once life calms down a bit I am going to need a chance to escape for a while.

Dawn ~ So good to see you. The job search is going as it was. Things are of course even more up in the air than they were. The stock market has absolutely nothing to do with judging the job market.

When I get a job, I will be moving south. I did a little IM chat with her earlier. She has lots of things to do of course. Now that the weather has broken and stopped raining, the yard and all needs to be done. Hope things are going well with you.

How is the competion and all going for your budding champ? Take care of yourself.

I did talk with Des a short time ago and just edited this in.

I thank you for your thoughts and I will let you know how things are going here from time to time... There isn't a lot of free time for me and that is a good thing... Between work and the girls I sometimes don't even know what day it is... Hard to believe that it has been a month since LAW and his unit left... But I did hear from him since all of this started and he is doing fine and says that moral is high now that things are underway... He is even keeping a journal so that I will know what part they played in the whole scheme of things when they return...

As for the road trip, I will be making plans soon for a day to myself and I will let you know... It has been so long since I have done anything on my own that I won't know what to do with myself so I will need help I'm sure that between the two of us we can come up with something...

Hope all is well with everyone... And thank you again for the thoughts...

Kayte......my budding Chuck Norris is doing good. He has moved up to his next belt and has a competition coming up in May in Atlanta. It keeps me in the road but we are enjoying it.

A Rainy Saturday Morning in North Georgia

It's almost April and the weatherman is predicting that we'll have freezing temperatures and even some snow by Monday!!! Once again, North Georgia's weather can't quite decide if it's Spring or the last of Winter

Hope the rest of the state is warmer and drier!!!

Oh, the Duke is settling in quite nicely and Skylar is getting used to having two other cats (Saki & Jack) in the same house, though he's still not quite sure about my two Beagles (Pepper & Lyra). The Beagles don't pay any of the cats much attention as they're more interested in their own activities - playing with their toys or sleeping.

The other evening Jack was lazing on the sofa and Skylar was on the coffee table when Lyra walked between them intent on finding one of her toys. Skylar's eyes widened in surprise when Jack reached out and patted Lyra on the rump the other day and she scooted out of his reach!

Tia and Scotty (the Siberians) came in for an evening and other than checking out the new scents in the house, ignored all the cats as usual much to Skylar's surprise.

peach ~ So nice to hear everything is going so well for you and the cats as everyone settles in.

We are definitely having freezing temps and snow, even though it was near 70 a couple days ago. The joy of spring in WI.

We really need to get things moving here again... I come in and the coffee is days old and there is no one around for conversation

Well Irish... In reality I have just finished frying up some bacon and I'm starting to scramble the eggs... Since LAW has been gone it is easier to just heat something up or grab something quick for me and the angels... But the weather has turned a little chilly here today and the wind makes it unthinkable to drag me and the little ones outside... So I decided that brunch was in order...

On days like today I will have a pot of coffee on all day, for myself and anyone who happens to stop by... Do join me... I would love some good conversation...
