Katala suddenly began to reform, laughing sadisticly "Fools! You can not destroy an spirit demon so easy!" With out even moving, Katala's body was capable to slash at Lee by letting an pice of its body to form into a vine like weapon.

"Lee! Feather shield!!!" a few of Eiji's feathes left his body, and became gigantic, circleing around Lee so the vine cannot get to him. Tye vine than went after Eiji, who was prepaired with the feather blade. While the vine tried to strike Eiji down, Eiji swung quickly to counter its attacks. But he knew he couldn't hold for much longer, Katala clearly had the upper advantage.

Lee

IC: "I got you covered." Well it didn't work last time but until I come up witha new plan this move is all I got. I quickly slash at the base of the spirits vine. I then fallow it up with a second cut further up the toroso. "You'll pay for what you did to her and before you die know that she'll live."

"D-Demon?"

Tetsuru bit her lip.

"This is not my idea of a vacation!"

Yoshiro merely smirked.

"I thought this wasn't a vacation anyway... FLAME CLAW!"

He ripped into Katala, but the demon serpent appeared not to particularly care, and he was smashed away by Katala's wispy coils.

Touji rushed forward to support Yoshiro, leaping into a flying kick but merely passing through Katala as the demon turned translucent for a few moments. He rolled as he hit the ground, and spun, grimacing.

"How does this work?!" cried Momiji. "How does the principal of our school turn out to be a demon? I'm confused!"

"This isn't the best time to ask questions!" snarled Touji. "RYU EN BU!" The wave of flame had little effect.

Yamanaka scratched his head quietly. "Hum... he's tough... we'll need a powerful attack to beat him, not just a string of attacks like how we finished Tetsuya."

Yoshiro struggled to his feet and glanced back at his sister, who was still tending to Rikku. "Tetsuru-chan, can you deal with him?"

Tetsuru shook her head. "I, uh, don't really know anything about DEMONS... spirits and ghosts I can deal with, but I didn't know that real demons existed... I thought they were kind of a myth... some sort of malevolent spirit..."

"Maybe that is all he is," muttered Yoshiro. "We'll try and weaken him, but he seems to just regenerate immediately. While I understand my OWN spirit, I don't seem to have much talent affecting other people's..."

Touji glanced sidelong at Eiji. "Hey, Eiji! Surely you have some sort of technique that can harm him!" He glanced at the ground, muttering to himself. "You always had one that could beat ME..."

"It's terribly annoying when you talk about me like I'm not here," said Katala nonchalantly, smacking a persistant Yoshiro away again. The young giant grunted as he hit the stone floor, but merely got up again and charged blindly, pointedly ignoring the fact that none of his attacks had any effect.

Touji narrowed his eyes, concentrating.

Beast... this time, I need you!

Eiji grimaced, "Shit... I never fought an demon myself. But if an demon is made out of pure evil... Maybe if we use light attacks, we can defeat him!"

"HA! Do you really think you have any light attacks you little punk!? You have been trained in the art of Shadow Bird! An dark Martial Arts stly! You have no light attacks!" Katala shot another vine at Eiji Eiji quickly moved an through his blade at Katala "Boomerang!" Eiji's blade went right through Katala and back. "Did you really think that would hurt me?!"

"No, but it woul stall ya!"

"I said I would kill you, and I ment it!" Katala let an energy force field surround himself, and made it grow, knocking down every bodie. Katala then wrapped an vine around Eiji's throat, then wrapped another around Lee's throat, and began to sqeeze. Hard.

OOC: I have no objections to killing him now. Hy, JC either of you have any objections?

IC: What I do has no effect what Yoshiro dose has no effect Rikku is still out. Eiji can't hurt him. Touji had an effect, he triped after attacking. Prehaps light moves will work, thatw as Eiji's sujestion but he has no moves like that, that I've seen any how. I definetly don't. Rikku has one charm I'm aware of but she may have used it by now.

There was a flash of light and I was knoked down. I began to get up but Katala lifted me into the air by my neck. Eiji didn't apear to be in better shape. I get the impresion he dosen't like us. I would say so to Eiji if I could breath.

ooc: Not just yet Cats, I'm going to piss Katala off so badly, he will go on an rampage.

Ic: Eiji strugled and squirmed trying to escape Katala's grasp, before Eiji blacked out, he felt Katala's girp loosen,m and the demon its self Screem an high pitched screem. When Eiji opened his Eyes, he saw that Cerbie was using an white flame like attack. "Damn it Cerbie! Why didn't you tell me that you can do that?!"

Before Cerbie could answere, he was shot back by a lucky shot by Katala. "Rotten mutt!"

Eiji staered at Katala, thinking up an way to confuse the demon. "Katala... tell me, are you an shape shifting Demon?"

"Of course I am!"

"Then... Is that your true form?"

"No..."

"Do you even know what your true form is?"

"...."

Eiji began to laugh, "I don't belive it, You transformed so many times, you forgot your true form!? This is hilarious!" Eiji laughed even harder when Katala let Lee lose and began to growl.

"I'll... I'll kill you!" Katala shot an vine straight at Eiji, it was so quick, Eiji wasn't able to block himself...

OOC: Then prehaps I will bring in Lea before he is deafeted. But if I do that JC would have to move Tetsuru away from Rikku.

IC: I felt my grip losening on my sabre. I can' drop ti if I do I'm screwed. I held on as tight as I could but even that was lose I seemed to be lsoeing my will as I use my air. Then Katala's grip losens I glance to the side Eiji is free and Cerbie is hurting Katala.

Sadly Katala's grasp tightens once more. I was tempted to scream and ease my pain but I simply could not. My air was runign low and then Katala let me go. I quickly took a breath of air and then hovered right before I hit the ground. I took above Katala. Why did he drop me? I watched him strike at Eiji.

Eiji felt an sharp pain go through his stomache, when he looked down, he saw that Katala had pierced Eiji with one clean shot. Eiji began to shake involentaraly. he felt cold, and out of sync with his soul. "Ahh..."

"Now I have you!"

"Heh... Nice try... But... As an ninja, I always have an trunk card!" Eiji suddenly disapered. "What!?! Where did he go?!" Katala franticly looked around for Eiji. But it was too late, Eiji already had the advantage when he reapered "Over here!!! Tetsuo x2!!!" Eiji suddenly disapered and a white line went straight through Katala. When Eiji reapered, He was leaning agaist the wall, letting the blood flow freely. "Tetsuo Is an whit magic attack, so..."

Katala screemed as he felt his body split. "If I die, I'm going to take at least one of you with me!" Katala raised his last strong vine, and thrusted it torwards Lee.

Tetsuru got up from Rikku, who appeared to be breathing more easily, and rushed over to the bleeding Eiji. Before she could reach him, however, Katala sent his last vine hurtling at Lee...

"L-LEE!"

Lee, exhausted, could only grimace as he waited for the impact.

He heard it, but he didn't feel it. He opened his eyes again.

And looking down before him, he saw Momiji, lying on her back on the stone cave floor, blood pouring from a terrible wound in her stomach.

"L... Lee..."

She looked up at him hopefully through cloudy eyes, and then she slumped.

And Katala fell, layers of his spirit whipping away as he was finally returned to the nether realms. Like molting snakeskin, energy peeled away from the spirit-serpent until finally, all that was left at the end was a little, ghost-like boy. He looked up, and a pathetic whimper escaped from his tranculent lips.

"N-No..."

Until he too was gone.

And peace finally came to the tormented spirit that had been Katala.

Eiji's eyes widened "Momiji....." Eiji then looked at Katala, or what was left of it "Gone.... But at what cost?" Eiji put his sowrd back into its hilt, staring into nothing. "Shit...." Why does this bull shit always have to happen to us?!

"Eiji... Eiji..."

Before he knew what was happening, Tetsuru had buried her face in his shoulder and was holding him tightly, ignoring the blood he was getting on her clothes.

"Oh, Eiji, it's so terrible! And... not only this... but this had nothing to do with what we really wanted to do... because..."

Tetsuru grew silent, afraid to say any more, and merely began feeding warm energy into Eiji, staunching his bleeding.

Yoshiro, having stood for a few moments, staring at nothing, slumped to his knees.

"H-How can I go on?" he whispered. "How can I endanger anyone else..."

We'll go alone, brother.

Yes... we must, my sister...

Nodding softly to himself, he crawled over to Rikku, his mouth dry and his eyes pleading as she remained in unconsciousness, her breathing still rather shallow.

"Lea, oh, Lea," he whispered softly, "please be alright..."

And Touji slumped to his knees moments later.

"M... M..."

Tears streamed down his cheeks.

"M... M..."

He stared down at the bleeding, motionless body.

"M... M... Mom... ee... jee..."

He finally slumped, collapsing on her chest.

"MOMIJI! WHY!?"

He quivered insanely, twitching.

"NOOOOOoooooOOOOoooooOOOOooo!" he howled, staring up a the cave ceiling. His tears rained down over Momiji's wound.

Yamanaka stood, silently. He reached out and grabbed Mai's hand, squeezing it tightly...

Eiji stared blankly at Momiji, still holding Tetsuru with his good arm. There has got to be something we can do?! But what? How? None of our Healing magic is strong enough! Eiji flinched a bit, still holding his sad emotions.

Mai was softly crying, she didn't say an word of any sort.

Cerbie then shot up, and for some reason, ran off. before Cerbie could get out of range Eiji entered his mind. Cerberus. Where are you going?"

"I'm going to find MIlo! He may have some type of Magic that can save her!"

Why didn't any bodie else thought of that?

"Emotions often go beyond reason at times like these, I can't blame you...

Hurry Cerbie, before its too late.

"I'm on it!"

Touji sobbed bitterly. A few moments ago a proud and aloof warrior, he was reduced to nothing now.

"M-Momiji, d-don't die, l-let me d-die inst-tead!" He shook violently, unable to control his wild emotions. "You're so wonderful! Don't leave this world! Don't leave ME, Momiji!" He buried his face in her shirt, tugging on it helplessly, as if he could somehow draw back her fading lifeforce. "I-I'll change! I'll be the person y-you want me to be! I'll do ANYTHING! I PROMISE!"

"Just don't GO!"

Yamanaka grit his teeth as he felt himself begin to cry as well, and shaking his head, he took Mai and hugged her softly, holding her while she cried.

I-I've got to be strong. For Mai. For my brother, too... oh, Touji...

Yoshiro merely stared at the ground. Here, he was useless. He quietly analyzed his feelings, and finally decided he wasn't enjoying what was happening.

Tetsuru, on the other hand, merely continued to weep. She couldn't even revel in Eiji's closeness to her. It was too terrible...

...how could a girl so young...

Cerbie rushed as fast as he could, he would have gone twice as fast if his leg wasn't hurt, but at the rate he was going, and the sent of Milo's blood filling the sensitive air space around Cerbie, he should find him in a few seconds.

Before Cerbie could turn an sharp corner, an spear almost cut his ear off if Cerbie didn't stop "Even dead Katala is determaned to kill us!" Cerbi slowly began tospeedupagain,careful nottosetany trap,whenitwassafe,Cerberus once again went on top speed.

Cerbie slowed to an stop as he saw an huge hole in the ground, "Milo! Are you in there?!"

"Cerberus?!"

Cerbie reared back, and jump down, landing on his two good legs. "MIlo... Geez! What tha hell did he do to you?!"

"Yeah... he did an number on me..."

Come on! The others had been looking for you!!!

"I can't move Cerberus..."

You can heal yourself stupid!

"No, it goes against my schools code... If I do so... I may die."

"Momiji is almost dead because of Katala. Either you help her, or I'm going to rip you a new hole!"

" Cerberus... I said I can't move, If you could carry me there... I'll be glad to help!"

Can you at least use your arms?

"Get on, and hold on tight!" Milo strugled a bit as he got on Cerbie's back, "O-okay... Lets go..." Cerbie taken a step back, and jumped out of the pit, and jolted back to the others.

IC: Eiji slashed threw Katala with a powerful move. As Katala's body no longer could heal itself he declared his final wish. A vine of his spirit forms and lashes out to me.

I've trained for many many years I've faced amazeingly powerful attacks and yet I freeze and am unable to move. The basic response to danger is one of three things run, fight, or frreeze. All that training was to make me do the first two but instead my training fails me and I freeze like a mouse fighting a snake named Katala. My eyes stay open as the vine aproaches and I watch it peirce right threw Momiji's body.

her body feel to the ground my eyes were on her now. SHe bounced up into the air after she hit she was still awake stareing back up but the look in her eyes showed she wasn't there in the room her mind had gone to what had been or what was to come for her. She closed her eyes as her body came to rest she was not in this world but instead in a dream like state like Rikku and I found ourselves in once. She is at peace and in pain at once. What awaits ehr is either heaven or more likely the hell that all fighters damn themselves in a place wear tehre is nothing left to fight for.

I moved my gaze back to a shatered boy that was the spirit of Katala. It faded and all that was left was the apin he made. When I see you again Katala I will make you pay. No, he wasn't completely at fault I failed my duty as well. I will sufer jsut as Katala suffered at my end.

Eiji was lost in emotion infact all were crying and visibly so. I however hover here in air dead to emotion. Only things in my mind now are logic. It's true I fear my emtions and thats why I hide behind the mask I forged of romance and joy, when the truth is I fear what I do not control. I could not control Katala's attack or Momiji's sacrifice so I froze, not like a mouse; but instead, like a rat.

Cerbie slowed to an stop as he came up to the others "I found him..." One look at Momiji and Milo knew what happened. "He was that desperate..." Milo muttered so low that only Cerbie could hear. He slowly limped his way to her, and put hishand on Touji, trying to keep his balance.

"Can you do anything?"

"Yes but... Not much at the moment, theres only one spell that is strong enough to heal an demon attack like this... For now, I can put an small healing spell on her until tonight." Milo knelt down and began to chant, "Pheonix Flame..." Momiji then began to glow orange. "Somebody will have to keep watch on her until tonight..."

IC: Milo has healed her? She msut be watched till to night. I ow her that much. "She saved my life, I will watch her." After tonight though I am going to leave her lfie and never return. Every one here is sad and from my actions, no if olny it wa my actions then at least I could of helped I could of pushed her away and I would be the one at risk not her.

I cafully picked her up in my arms careful not to hurt her. "We should go this place isn't doing much for her health." Momiji please let me pay you back for what you have done after that.... I'll set you and the others free of danger.

Milo moved out of Lee's way and sat down exhausted, and in complete and utter pain. "That spell....... It should last four or five hours..." Milo rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand. He felt somebody lift him up gently. He turned his head slightly to see that Mai was holding him up. "Think you can make it back?"

"I think so."

"Can we please get the hell out of here? the stench of this place is making me sick!" Cerbie said slightly aggitated.

ooc: We could skip back to the hotle if you want.

Touji stared, wide-eyed, at Milo.

"...she... won't die?"

He shivered slightly, and then turned back to her. Tears were still dripping silently down his cheeks.

"Lee... help me carry her..."

Tetsuru had left Eiji's side to go support her brother. They both exchanged a glance of deepest sadness and regret, and then both nodded. They knew what they would have to do. Alone.

Yamanaka approached the unconscious body of Tetsuya.

"Huh. I wonder if he'll ever learn..."

Sighing, Yamanaka hefted Tetsuya up onto his shoulder. The young boy's knees wobbled, but he grit his teeth, managing to hold the older teenager.

"Hey," he murmured to himself, "if he dies now, I'll never get to beat him up myself for what he did to me..."

Eiji picked Tetsuya up off of Yamanaka seeing that the young warrior was having major trouble with him. "Geez! what has Tetusya been eating, Rocks?!" Eiji grumbled a bit as he Carried Tetsuya out of the cave

"Lets get out of here before its too late" Milo said slightly unconsious.

"Yeah, lets get going."

OOC: I forgot what I planed to do back at the hotel go figure. I'll do this for now then.

IC: Momiji was placed on my shoulders and Touji's shoulders. I kept my eyes to the ground silent. he blamed me for what happened every one did that much was clear.

The silence was unnerveing but we kept at a fast pace out of this hole in the ground. We came to the front of the cave and the entrance was open once more. "How the hell?" 'It was an illusion that shut the entrace now that Katala is dead it no longer exists.' I took a quick glance back at Milo he to was judgeing me.

Milo looked at Lee like he was insane."Since Katala is gone, the spell is gone. Its no longer an gate to the dark relem you people call hell."

Eiji turned his head "What we people call hell? What do you mean by that?"

"In an way, your vision of HoKage-Ryu's kindom, or what you call hell, Is like your vision of the place, but its not always where you go when you die if you're evil, it is where... Well, maybe I SHOULDN'T TALK ABOUT IT..." Milo stated as he saw Mai was shaking a bit. As soon as they left the cave, Milo looked back at the place and yelled "Shadow shield!" An white portal completely destroyed the cave, never to be opened again.

Rikku

IC: It didn't take us long to walk back but we got some strange looks. I guess any normal group of people would of headed for a hospital.

I woke up a ways after we left the cave in yoshiros arms wich was a bit unnerveing. The big guy is supose to be hiting on Lea and not me.

We came to the hotel and Touji and Lee stil caried Momiji. They seemed a strange pair. Touji had a mixed look of fear and sorow on his face, and Lee with.... with.... depresion, maybe I've jnever seen him with that look before. I wonder what I'm to say. Why would I say anything I have nothing to do with it.

Mai Help Milo into his room and sat him down on the bed. Milo's head was lowered and his eyes were closed. He had hoped that Mai left the room, he had hoped that she would leave him be for an little while. But of course, Milo's luck was against him, the next thing Milo heard was an door shuting and being locked. Mai basicly traped him.

"Alright Milo, you better start giving me some answere and I mean NOW." Mai said sternly, and almost, straight out frightning. She grabed Milo by colar and brung him face to face "Every time Katala attacks, you're around! Why is that!?"

Milo sighed knowing there was no way out of this predicament. "My name isn't really Milo, Milo is the name of an friend of mine that died at the hands of Katala. My real name is really Rock Hino. I was just an normal outcast. Only had a few friends. But I didn't care, I was happy, not an care in the world... But, that was until he came...

This town was prospering very greatly and life was getting easier. The tower you know as clock tower, was then know as elemental tower. It was where I learned all of my skills as an healer, but in those times I was stronger in battle magic. But back on track, at the peak of the citys golden times, Katla struck.

It was quick and mercyless, he came with demon and dark soldiers and killed anybodie in his sight. My mother, my father, my sister, my brother, grandfather. My freinds, my school mates, every one! Only Milo and myself were left. we tried to stop Katala but he tricked us! He made us think that My brother Maki was still alive!"

"Maki?" Mai said in an low tone slightly surprized

"Yeah, Maki attacked us just as we thought we had Katala in an corner. But as we were about to eliminate him, Maki struck both Milo and I. Milo died, and I barely lived. Insted of killing me Katala trapped me in that damn tower for over 300 years! The only thing that kept me sane was my harmonica. I played it by my feel;ings, but it was all sorrow. About 50 years ago, Katala made an deal with me, he was weak due to Milo and I If I helped regain his energy he would let me loose, I agreed..."

"You what!? Why the hell would you do it!?"

Milo gave Mai an sharp look and shot back "If you were stuck in that tower you would do the same damn thing! I wanted to get the fuck out of there, I wanted freedom! Something I haven't felt until two moths ago!" Milo yelled, making Mai back out of the argument. "Any ways, I didn't help him, I made him weaker. And yes! It did cost the lives of people! But if I didn't do so the world may of been destroyed! He thought that the absobation spell he was using could only regain his original powers, if he found out that spell could make him stronger, it would have been over for this plain of existance!"

"I could have been killed..." Mai muttered thinking that Milo was being cold hearted.

"No yopu wouldn't have. I made the absorbation spell, I gave it limitations He couldn't kill certain people, People that I said he couldn't kill, sadly I could do it once an year."

"And you chosen me..."

"Yeah, but what does that matter now? My secret is out, I'm no longer Milo, I'm no longer Rock, how can I be? I'v been stuck in an tower for so long, I don't know my old self, I'm not Milo, I'm just some kid who was basicly frozen in time! I'm nobody!"

Milo got up, "I should leave after I heal Momiji, theres no use for some one who doesn't even know himself."

"You're still Milo, your the person we know even if it isn't who you really are."

"I would just be lying."

"Lying is better than not knowing. Your memorys will come bacl to you, but until then, Your still Milo Hino."

Milo sighed and turned his head away "I guess so."

Blood slowly flowed out of Eiji's side, but as usual, he didn't care about the pain too much since he was more worried about other things. It was begining to get late, and Milo was already prepairing for the spell. But Eiji decided not to join in since he hated to see crying, and if the spell didn't work, Touji would do just that, cry. Cerbie just laid on the bed staring at Eiji intensly. "What are you thinking Eiji?"

"Nothing." Eiji said in an slightly cold and tired tone.

"Bull shit! You're staring at the damn sky saying nothing, and you're saying 'nothing' ?!"

Eiji turned and sighed "Whats the point? Every time I get into trouble somenody gets hurt! What is it? Am I cursed? Is there somebody up there trying to get me?"

"Now you're scaring me."

"I mean, come on, When I was an kid, I had to fight for food for not only myself, but my little sister too! She couldn't even fend for herself!"

"You survived didn't you?"

"Yeah? Then there was thos two freaking years stuck in that run down, moldy orphan home. That bitch we called Nana beaten anybody with an metalic spoon for no reason!"

"Then you left there and..."

"Don't give me that crap Cerberus, you know damn well what I'm saying, where I go, bad luck follows! And where bad luck follows, it hits every bodie else!"

"Your point is..." Eiji had just about enough of Cerbie's sarcasim, he grabed Cerbie by the fur in between the two heads and lifted him in the air, he then carried the strugling wolf to the balcany and held him over wher ironicly there was an legion of rabits that had their crimson eyes staring at Cerbie. "Listen smart ass! Unless you want to be rabit chunks, you better shut it"

"R-rabbits are vegitarians!"

"Well it seem that you pissed off these rabbits some way some how because they look pretty eager to have an talk with you!"

"Okay okay! I'm sorry" Cerbie yelped. Eiji put Cerbie back on the ground. "Don't get smart Cerbie, you still need an way to get out of here before the Bugs Bunny Demolishon Sqaud gets to you!"

"Eh... You have an point." Cerbie turned on of its heads just enough to look at Eiji "If your so full of bad luck, and you don't like it, what are you going to do?"

"Leave and find an way to get rid of it I guess."

"Now I know you're full of it!"

Eiji groaned "Not just this moment knuckle head, Some where down the line before school starts." Cerbie hopped back onto the bed and closed its eyes, "I still say you're full of it"
