I’m so old I remember…

ISOIR discussing buying condoms with my girlfriend. She said she’d wait outside. I said no no …we are both adults, let’s do this together. So she very reluctantly accompanied me into a fairly busy pharmacy.
No barcodes back then, just a price sticker …except I hadn’t noticed I’d managed to choose a pack that wasn’t labelled.
I turned to my girlfriend to say “see, nothing to worry about” but she’d run away!!
And when I turned back to the sales assistant, she tannoyed for a price, holding up my condoms! 🤦‍♂️

I'm so old that...we went on a family foreign holiday to Wales. We came back and the whole street were talking about the Fonz.... "Hey, sit on it" etc

Magazines don’t have a lot of value, maybe this one might.
Such a sad, infamous event. I was on the subway the day after and still remember vividly the image of a man standing next to me with a Sony Walkman and headphones, with tears streaming down. I could just barely make out the song Imagine coming from his headphones.

The ford pinto - otherwise known as the exploding, four wheeled coffin.

At least that’s how I remember it!

The pinto and gremlin made awesome modified stock cars. These ran all over the place on short tracks in the early to mid 70s.

Remember seeing them in martinsville (VA) speedway as a kid and all the way up to Seekonk speedway in MA and everywhere in between.
