PricelessT actually has a point. What you are is not necessarily the same as what you define yourself as. There are plenty of women who define themselves as men, and men who define themselves as women. Even before operations. Are you going to go after the trans community as well?

Some people are attracted to the same sex, but not enough and not to enough of them, to warrant an entire identity change. It's a pain to do; you have to tell your family; tell your friends; get new mugs, t-shirts, bumper stickers and screen savers, ...

Good points. Though I was mainly saying that the "predominantly sexually attracted to women" types are lesbians...if we go by the researchers who say so. Meaning that these women are what they define themselves as and this is therefore an official definition of "lesbian" just as much as "exclusively" is (because, you know, it's the experts, the true authoritative sources on sexuality and sexual orientation, saying that it is).

As for transgender, the reason a person can say that they are a man when they were born female, for example, is that sex (as in biological sex) is not necessarily the same thing as gender. The categories of "man" and "woman," excluding the biological aspects, are social constructs (what a man is supposed to like, wear, etc., which is why gender roles are drastically reversed in some cultures), while "male" and "female" are what nature creates. So while a transwoman's sex is male (though some research suggests that some transwomen have brains similar to biological females), her gender is "a woman."

Seriously, I'm not sure at what point I said I was going to fuck him. With or without her consent. Secondly, I think I'd already stated I was no longer a lesbian. Labels suck anyway, sexuality is fluid. Finally, stable and lovig were crap were words to choose.

Carefully sliding in and adding my two cents. We have so badly gotten off topic. The OP just stated that she found another human being attractive. We have all done that, heterosexual, OR homosexual. I see nothing wrong with it. And currently, would just tell the significant other that you found him attractive, but have no interest sexually. Why is it so bad to find the opposite sex attractive? Like enjoying a nice painting. There's nothing wrong with that. Feelings are yours. It is what you DO about your feelings that matters.
