Impeachment not going so well?

Well your totally incompetent and currupt federal investigation and intelligence agencies certainly wouldn't. Couldn't find their own arseholes with a torch. Couldn't find anything criminal in the activities of Hillary or Obama when their criminal and traitorous exploits are plainly obvious to more than 50% of the population.

They're not incompetent. They are compromised. Hopefully Trump's 8 years will be enough to help get them back toward the path they strayed from under Obama, Bush and Clinton.

Well... We agree they are corrupt, that's a start.
Incompetent: my evidence is from the knowledgeable and wordy posters on this board who are costantly pointing out how they can't make a case against Hillary or obama. Also their inability to exonerate trump from the false and malicious charges brought against him.
Can only be incompetence.
Trump should disband them and contract in the Mounties. They always get their man (or woman).

The Clintons and Obamas still wield an enormous amount of power in a swamp they spent 16 years creating (they didn't start the work). Go find the presser where they said, yes, she mishandled classified material but she didn't didn't really mean to so, skip it. She learned her lesson.

As for their inability to pin anything on Trump, that's because as big as an a hole as he is, as corrupt as he may be in some ways, he's no worse than any of the others before him.

Well, now that the Horowitz report exposed Obama's DOJ and NSA, the obstructions to the investigations are gone. Facts used in one of the FISA warrant doctored by an FBI lawyer to reflect opposite of it's intended meaning, Strzok's response to an email { MYR } = MID YEAR REVIEW which is the evidence that will prove the intentional FBI narrative change that exonerated Hillary Clinton was part of a coup to influence the election, no wilful intent to mishandle classified material relieved her from criminal prosecution, Comey took one for the team.

Man,
Talk about back fire. Look at this house of cards crumble and all the rats scurry to save a seat on the life raft.

I'm sort of interested and amused anticipating this mornings talking points/ excuses and new accusations.

The article of impeachment is Abuse of Power...duh.

The only "LIE"...is quid pro quo. Here's why:

1. Transcript has been released...nothing in the transcript indicates a demand.
2. The Ukraine President denied ever being pressured.
3. The aid to Ukraine was provided, before the deadline.
4. NO investigation was started or announced.

These are facts. Not Lies. "Abuse of Power"...the presidency is co-equal branch of government.

Whoever says these articles of impeachment are solid...is telling you a lie.
People with direct knowledge testified under oath that Trump abused his power.

Until Trump testifies under oath, I’ll go with that.

phrodeau writes: "People with direct knowledge testified under oath that Trump abused his power."

But is their testimony BELIEVABLE, phrodeau? Winning over the Trump-hating Democratic-Party-controlled House of Representatives ISN'T exactly the same thing as winning the case, is it?

"Until Trump testifies under oath, I’ll go with that."

Back in the 1990's, President Clinton testified under oath and even committed PERJURY while doing so - but the Democrats in the U.S. Senate back then argued that lying under oath wasn't an impeachable offense. Do you AGREE with them, phrodeau?

Fuzzy1975 writes: "Just to be fair, was there not a Republican who left to sit as an independent or Democrat too back in the fall last year? So if we scoring defectors, it's tied isn't it?"

If we're keeping score, Fuzzy - as of right now, the ONLY bipartisanship shown in this entire impeachment process has been support from members of both political parties OPPOSING impeachment! We've got both Democrats AND Republican lawmakers saying "NO" to Adam Schiff!

phrodeau mentions: "A new Fox News poll shows support for impeachment remains steady."

Yes, and didn't Fox News polls back in late October 2016 showed that Hillary Clinton was about to win the White House? You should know better by now NOT to trust public-opinion polls! The ONLY thing that can remove President Trump from office is a U.S. Senate trial and the votes of members of that legislative body - that's the ONLY "poll" that seriously matters, phrodeau!

What does bi partisan support for impeachment or tying up shoes have to do with what I stated?

I stated one House member left the Republicans, since Dawn glorified one Democrat moving to the Republicans. Looks like a tie there doesn't it? Now if 20 Democrats moved to the Republicans, that would be note worthy but that didn't happen

Try and stay on topic. Don't go twisting my words!!

So the people of the United States can't vote him out during the next election? Or are you saying Trump will not abide the results of that election if he lost the Electoral College?

I think you need to adjust that statement above a bit?

Hey 1i, we can agree on one thing: the FBI is, and always has been corrupt. Any reasonable analysis of its history couldn't really conclude otherwise. The debacles over the last few years over the clintons and Obama in failing to produce a single indictment can only mean corruption or total incompetence. I suspect a great deal of both.

I'd be surprised if I found that FBI leadership did not have a sense of loyalty to the administration's that dominated the past several decades of their existence.

In their role, yes, that is corruption.

Look further back you might find a different culture. I dunno. I'm not THAT OLD.

Maybe you should take a victory lap!

Lighten up, Fuzzy - I'm guessing that phrodeau is very possibly wearing his ear-muffs indoors! It's NOT a big deal!

Here are some FACTS about impeachment:

1) The House Democrats have already made up their minds (BEFORE a Senate trial has even taken place) that President Trump is guilty and needs to be removed from office!

2) The U.S. Senate is NOT controlled by congressmen Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and/or House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and THEY will make the final determination as to the validity (or lack thereof) as to what the House Democrats are charging.

3) In November of 2020 the American voters will have the final say regarding whether or not Schiff & the House Dems wasted millions of taxpayers' dollars in time & money in their non-stop efforts to remove our president from office.

Yes they have, and yes they are. From my understanding, in this instance the Democrats from the justice committee would be considered the prosecutor since the Democrats hold majority in the House. While the President Donald Trump is the Defendant. The judge will be John Roberts, and the Jury is the Senate body.

Correct?

I agree the Senate is not controlled by them, just the House. It is the House's task to decide to pass or fail articles of impeachment. AS said above, the Senate is the jury.

3) In November of 2020 the American voters will have the final say regarding whether or not Schiff & the House Dems wasted millions of taxpayers' dollars in time & money in their non-stop efforts to remove our president from office.

Well the Senate has the final say on the impeachment vote, if it gets that far.

After the Senate does, or does not hold a trial, in November the voters once again get to pick their government. Will they hold the Democrats to account, or will they hold the Republicans to account, or will they just ignore the whole thing. We will all know in November, and the outcome will not affect me one iota.

AS to the waste of millions of dollars, isn't the budget Trillions? So in my terms, wealth wise, a couple million converted to my scale would be a couple pennies in my pocket. Though to the majority, a million dollars sounds like a lot, and it is, but not on the scale of economy of the United States.

Nobody really cares about a few million bucks.

The Democrat party wants to obstruct the President in the performance of his duties, no matter the cost to the country in terms of dollars, economic stability, civil unrest or even lives.

They have demonstrated in the election process, the courts, public relations and now a desperate attempt, not to impeach him, but to rabble rouse the Democrat party to vote next year. (Pelosi knows Trump cannot be convicted on the basis of the idiocy she's promoting)
