ok I have to ask, are their any women on the eastern side... near Ashland KY? Or am I the only one that is over here. Seems all people are on the west or Lex or Lou...

All I know is that one of the sweetest guys I know lives in Eastern KY and I live in Western KY. What is a girl to do? :rose:

Hey all. Have a job interview in Lexington on Tuesday. Kinda surprised but pleasently so. Wish me luck!

Thanks.

It'd actually be a bit of a promotion and step into management and the pay even as a temp would be almost what I was making at the job I just left up here.

Thanks.

so how'd it go? Are you an offical working citizen of lexington?

Derp, sorry, I mean next Tuesday. The 20th. I won't be in town until this coming weekend.
Only downside is that it's a temp to hire position so the interview is with the temp agency and then they submit it to the hiring company for their approval. I'm hopeful though, it's right up my alley and experience.

Will be looking for work and a rental house so if anyone knows of anything, feel free to let me know.

It helps to know your $$ range in keeping an eye out for a rental.. best idea, drive through the neighborhoods you like, often you will see for rent signs that aren't published in the paper... must it be a house, or will you rent an apartment? or in the university area (which has its advantages and disadvantages in quality of living <g>) where you get split houses...

Yeah, the range is sorta up in the air. Depends on what I find work wise. Decent paying job like the one I'm interviewing for and I can stretch a bit more...not decent and I can't.

Would VERY much prefer a house. I have two dogs that I won't give up and apartment life wouldn't suit them. Meanwhile I'm a bit of a shade tree mechanic so I'd really like a garage for my vehicles and tools.

Definitely not looking to be downtown or anything trendy. 600sqft house and 5 car garage with a small lot in the suburbs of the suburbs would be awesome.;)

I don't mean to butt in here but where are you looking? What city? I have a lot of contacts with investors that have rentals through out Louisville.
