Kentucky Roll Call

Settling in, slowly, zillion things going on and somehow the underwear gnomes haven't unpacked everything.

Still looking for work but I'm hopeful. Just seems like all the employers are taking their time since they have a glut of potential employees to choose from.

hang in there eyeball !! (and hey, who needs underwear...??)

Hi everyone, sorry I have been delinquent in my postings lately. Just a tad pity party but I should be back to myself again shortly. All I can say is life Sucks at times.

(((((gigi)))))

I do, hate the "in the breeze" feeling.

gigi, been there a lot lately. It gets better, but I bet you know that. Head down and keep moving forward is all you can do.

Thanks and it will be head held High as I will possibly run into the jerk this weekend, but I know I can handle being around a loser like him. I am better than him.

Sorry, Marine Corps reference. Folks shooting at you and all.

Meant as you took it so keep on moving forward.:)

Yes I understood it. Military references are all similar between the branches. I am Army vet remember. But someone told me I should just basically not meet with mutual friends, and I am NOT going to hide away.

Basically to take a quote from the movie Dirty Dancing "Nobody is gonna put Baby in the corner"....

Derp yeah, my bad. However I won't call you Dogface like I call my ex-BIL...of course he was Army Infantry.

Sounds stupid, ex's are fun eh?

I pretty much have a job now and might even have an option on a second one. Starting training on Monday for one and an interview on Tuesday for another. Only problem is the interview might be in Louisville.

Well faced a fear Saturday night and survived. I took another step to healing. Thanks for the support of those who have contacted me.:rose:

My turn to kill the thread.

Hope everyone had a happy Turkey Day. Spent it at my buddy's dads' here in Lexington and about 10 hours after eating I've still got that satisfied full feeling.

Started a job on Tuesday and interviewed for another the same day. Truth be told the one I interviewed is the one I want but it'll be a while before I know more. Just happy to have a job right now.

Sounds like you had a good day. Finger crossed on getting the job you really wish to have.

You got it! Been there and understand all about it. No matter what I think all divorces turn nasty. Just realize we are here to listen to you vent if you need it.:rose:

Yes I really did. I'm still not exactly hungry a day later...well, I did have Sonic this morning and a large apple this afternoon but still, not very hungry all day.

I'm hoping for something on this job. Would be good to not be in the building trades. Lost a job due to the economy up in Michigan a few years ago and it must makes me nervous. The other job is medical so that would be a good thing I think.

They get weird no matter what. Mine was "friendly" and relatively easy since we didn't have kids but it's still weird 3 months later and I know it tore my ex up. She wanted it though.

Good luck and hopefully it gets better for you.

I was in the medical field when I got out of the military, but was never "certified" so I was unable to get a job in my field without going back to school. I did typical nursing home work for about 7 years and realized that was not for me. I did finally go back to school, and have a good job because of it. I get to travel on occasion, and have found that my research skills are fairly good (no one wants my job, which is a plus as it gives job security:D).

Have a Great Weekend to All!

Well, I should have said it's a shipping and receiving job in the medical field. Distributing stuff to the hospitals in the Lexington area. Much better job security than the job I just got...and not in a cold warehouse.

Now you have me curious...

Hey a bit of mystery is always good...:D

Hey all. Hope everyone had a decent holiday. I got home from NY Wed night, in time to spend it with my husband and son and my son's ex girlfriend - her family was out of town, and couldn't let her be alone. None of us like turkey so husband grilled up some steaks and it was all very good. Tonight was the leftover festival friends and I have every year, where we come together a couple days after the holiday and bring our leftovers to make a feast. Wine and games and laughter abound. Thats my favorite part of the holiday!!!

Now to get thru December and back to ''normal'' (?) life.

Missed you all whlie I was away, but was glad to be gone and with my mom and sister.
