So It Is Written

A preacher was lecturing on the Bible one Sunday morning.

He said to his small congregation, 'You know, the Bible has an answer for everything. The reason for that is that the people in the Bible have all, at one time or another, been in the same situations you have.'

'Even PMS?' a woman asked.

'Yes, I assure you,' said the preacher, 'PMS is in there. Tell you what, I'll look for it and tell you the passage at services next week.'

So everyone goes home after the service.

Meanwhile, the preacher is looking for the PMS passage.

When Sunday comes around.... he gets in front of the congregation and begins his Homily in the service.

'People, I have found the passage in the Bible referring to PMS.

'Really, Preacher? Where?' the lady asked.

'It's right here in this passage where it says, 'And Mary rode Joseph's ass all the way to Bethlehem'.'

Jill, being the "only buy-on-sale shopper," beckoned
to a salesman in Bergdorf Goodman's, pointed to
white wool designer dress on a mannequin, and said,
"Hey Sonny boy, so how much is the dress on that
store dummy over there?"

"That dress is $899.95, Madam," sneered the rather
snotty salesman.

"Oh! For $99.95, I could get the same dress at
S. Klein's downtown!"

"But Madam," said the salesman, "You'll find that the
dress at Klein's is recycled wool. This original is
100% pure virgin wool."

And Jill replied, "So! For $800, I should be caring
what the lambs do at night?"

A handsome advertising executive attended a party given by a female colleague and left with an extremely attractive guest.

In the office the next morning, he thanked the hostess and explained that he really liked her friend.

"Oh, she's not really a friend of mine," the girl responded. "Just an acquaintance."

"Well, in that case," the man chuckled, "I'm happy to have made your acquaintance."

THE ORIGINAL HOLLYWOOD SQUARES

If you remember The Original Hollywood Squares and its comics, this will bring a tear to your eyes. These great questions and answers are from the days when game show responses were spontaneous and clever, not scripted and (often) dull as they are now. Peter Marshall was the host asking the questions, of course.

Q. Do female frogs croak?
A. Paul Lynde: If you hold their little heads under water long enough.

Q. If you're going to make a parachute jump, at least how high should you be?

Q. True or False, a pea can last as long as 5,000 years.
A. George Gobel: Boy, it sure seems that way sometimes

Q. You've been having trouble going to sleep. Are you probably a man or a woman?
A Don Knotts: That's what's been keeping me awake.

A. George Gobel: I don't know, but it's coming from the next apartment.

Q. Paul, why do Hell's Angels wear leather?
A. Because chiffon wrinkles too easily.

A. Marty Allen: Only after lights out.

Q. When you pat a dog on its head he will wag his tail. What will a goose do?
A. Paul Lynde: Make him bark?

Q. If you were pregnant for two years, what would you give birth to?
A. Paul Lynde: Whatever it is, it would never be afraid of the dark.

Q. According to Ann Landers, is there anything wrong with getting into the habit of kissing a lot of people?
A. Charley Weaver: It got me out of the army.

Q. While visiting China, your tour guide starts shouting "Poo! Poo! Poo!" What does this mean?

*E-mail Problem*

The start of the new school term always brings out the most interesting questions for computer consultants on campus. The predominant questions this term pertain to "getting into" E-mail and how to access the "Information Highway."

An obviously distraught student came into the consulting office yesterday complaining that his E-mail wasn't working; his attempts to get tickets for an on-campus concert kept resulting in returned mail.

He showed me the mail address he was attempting to reach. I asked him where he obtained such an unusual mail address.

He replied, "The sign told me, 'begins@7:30 P.M.'"

Dear techsan, The Hollywood Squares lines were priceless!!!

Dear done_got_old, Thanks for the very cute email problem!

Thanks for brightening my Saturday,

IRISH GAS STATION

Taking a wee break from the golf course, Tiger Woods drives his new Mercedes into an Irish gas station.

An attendant greets him in typical Irish manner, unaware who the golf pro is... "Top o' the mornin' to ya".

As Tiger Woods gets out of the car, two tees fall out of his pocket.

"So what are those things, laddie?" asks the attendant.

"They're called tees," replies Tiger.

"And what would ya be usin 'em for, now?" inquires the Irishman.

"Well, they're for resting my balls on when I drive," replies Tiger.

"Aw, Jaysus, Mary an' Joseph!" exclaims the Irish attendant. "Those fellas at Mercedes think of everything."
