Lexx

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

Kai ducked and twisted out of the stowaway's grasp, laughing all the while. He ran and skipped his way toward the bridge, still chanting:

"The wheel, it turns 'round and around,
it makes an ancient, rumbling sound!"

Stanley, Xev and the stowaway all raced after Kai to the bridge, even though they had lost sight of him along the corridor. When they got to the bridge, Kai was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, Stanley felt someting grab his hat and yank it off of the top of his head! He looked up to see Kai's brace retreating back to his wrist with his hat in its grasp. Kai was sitting up on a ledge on the command column that was the centerpiece of the bridge. Kai gave a high-pitched laugh.

Suddenly, Kai's mood changed. He became very somber, and the rest of the Lexx crew became even more worried than they were already as Kai sang:

"Veo aye oh
Ome vah ray
Veo aye rah
Jerum Brunnen-G...."

(translation to the stowaway):

"Fighters fight the fight
For their home and their heart
We fighters will win or die
Forever we are the Brunnen-G."

Kai kept repeating this verse over and over until the stowaway was forced to turn away.

Xev

I had never seen Kai behave like this, not even when those kids screwed up the cryo-chamber's programming. First one mood swing, then another, and this one was very depressing. Something had to be done.

"Kai, listen to me, please come down here. Whatever is wrong, we are here to help." I was starting to get a little scared. What if this was permanent? What would we do with out Kai? Then I remembered something.

"Wait a minute! Didn't Kai say something about waking up and acting weird? He said it was temporary and would only last a few hours, right? What we really need to do is make sure he can't hurt himself. Stanley, is there any way Lexx can contain him? You know, maybe tie him up or something?" Despite the crisis, the thought of Kai tied up and at my disposal was making my nipples hard. "Well Stanley, is there?"

Stanley Tweedle

I look at Kai then turn to Xev "He doesnt look like he'll put up much of a fight if we did anything right now. Once we get him tied up we can lock him up in the same room we put the stowaway into earier." With that we grabed some wires that would be able to hold him once we get him down. The problem was how are we going to get him down?

"Ok we need to get something to knock him down from there. He's dead so he wont feel anything so that would work but what do we have that can be used to knock...him...down." A grins spreads over my face "I know what we can use to knock Kai down."

Before anyone knows what I'm doing I snatch 790 from Xevs hands and throw him right at Kai with all my strength!

790 yells "I'll get you for this Stanley Tweedle!" as he smacks right into Kai, knocking them both down to the ground.

Kai doesnt seem to be bothered by what happened but 790 on the other hand kept yelling things at me as Xev and I quickly wrapped Kai around in the wires and draged him to the room we kept the stowaway in earlier.

Once we put him in there I ordered "Lexx, close this room off now!"

"As you command, Stan." said the Lexx as the doors closed locking in the still singing Kai.

Once Xev came back with the still pissed 790 I told them "Ok now somebody is going to have to go in there and stand guard on Kai. So who is going to do it?" I look at Xev, 790 and the Stowaway to see what they think.

Xev

790 was still going on about Stanley. "You incomplete, worthless excuse for a captain. A curse on the thing that spawned you! May you die a virulent painful death."

The incessant noise was getting to me. "Enough," I growled, letting my cluster lizardness emerge. "790, off!"

Calming myself, I looked at Stanley. "I will stay with Kai. You need to pilot Lexx and we still don't know who she is," I said, pointing to the stowaway.

Later, as I sat in the chamber with the bound Kai, my mind started to wander. Kai, alive and fully functional, running his hands over my body. His warm mouth licking and tasting every inch of me. Kai holding me down and fucking me until I couldn't take any more.

A small noise snapped me out of my reverie. I was trembling and my panites were damp. I looked over at Kai, but he was unaware of my daydream. I breathed a sigh of relief.

I sat up in the rafters, watching the dead man struggle with his bonds. I looked over at the heavily breathing woman, not wanting to know what she was up to, as I hopped down. I knelt next to Kai and looked into his eyes. I saw something, there, in those pools of darkenss... A flicker of light, shining with everything one'd known...

I started humming the song. I knew he'd recognize it, and it snapped Xev out of her second daydream.

"Ahsi kavah ahsi komatadikata
Esha tevah kisano
Esakato nava kisano
Ishaka noverra kilato
Ikasada nelati ohh
Ashimada viarana
Amada kiverehna
Ahmata ko..."

(translation for Kai)

"Hush little child
Sleep with dreams
Of battles past
Won from bloody streams
And if you cry
Your tears will touch the sky
But if you bleed
You will come to me"

(it's an old nursery rhyme from a very long time ago)

Stanley Tweedle

I stood outside of the room spinning the complaining 790 on my finger like a basketball as I listened for any activity in the room. I stop spinning 790 and hold him between my arms as I listen in when I hear someone singing in the room. The song was nice and soothing but I didnt understand the language. I look at 790 for any help but notice that he's still to dizzy to even know what's going on. Leaning against the wall I wait for anything to happen...

Stowieway

I leaned over the tied man and looked back to Xev. She'd gone back to her... um... whatever the hell she was doing. I quickly and quietly untied Kai's legs and pulled him from the other exit, still singing softly...

Xev

I must have dosed off a little. I opened my eyes just in time to see the stowaway pulling Kai through the other door. How the hell she got through a sealed room beats me. I had to remember to talk to Stanley about giving Lexx a good once-over.

I ran over to the door I had come in through and shouted for Stanley. Soon the entrance opened and I was practically knocked over when he came running in. "The stowaway's taken Kai! Somehow she got past Lexx and took him out of here!" I yelled.

"Where were you?" Stanley asked, like this was my fault.

"IN the room with Kai," I answered. "The room YOU were supposed to seal. But nevermind that now. She's taken Kai and we still don't know who she is or what she wants. This is serious Stanley, for all we know, she is dangerous. We have to do something."

Stanley Tweedle

I ordered Lexx "Ok Lexx, where are the stowaway and Kai?"

Lexx hesitated for a moment then explained "I cannot dectect them Stanley. The stowaway is somehow able to block me from finding them."

Sighing to myself I tell Xev "Looks like we will have to find them the old fashioned way. We got to search every part of the Lexx by ourselfs."

Xev nodded and suggested "You check the higher section of Lexx and 790 and I will search the lower section." We broke into our two groups and searched for Kai and the Stowaway.

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

Kai woke up. He'd fallen asleep(!) after listening to the stowaway's lullabye. Noticing that he was bound, he expanded his chest by inhaling and pressed his arms outward, stretching the wire until it snapped. He stood up and noticed that he was in a different room than before, and he was with the stowaway. He scratched his head.

"I feel weird," Kai said. Not waiting for the stowaway to respond, he left the room to find Stanley and Xev. He had to talk to them; to try to explain.

Stanley Tweedle

After about half an hour of searching for Kai I had just about given up. Maybe the stowaway had taken him off the ship and Lexx didnt know. Just then I can see two figures walking towards me from the distance.

Looking closer I could see who it was "Kai! What's going on around here?" Kai approached me with the Stowaway following him from behind.

"He's harder to keep ahold of than a stray cat," I tried to tell the human male. He didn't understand me, of course, but what could I expect? This was an entirely new universe. I didn't know the languages. I stood silently behind the Brunnen-G as he explained to Stan...

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

"Stanley!" Kai said jovially as he approached the obviously bewildered pilot. He took Stanley's hand and shook it vigorously, a large smile across his face.

"Kai, what's going on?" Stanley asked cautiously.

"What's going on is my metaphorical and metaphysical rebirth!" Kai said, spinning around on his heels. "I don't know exactly how it happened, but it definitely has something to do with this stowaway here. You see, Stanley, I have emotions again!"

"*Emotions*?" exclaimed Stanley. "Does that mean you're alive?"

"Unfortunately, no, I am still dead in the sense that I have no pulse or other bodily characteristics that would make me alive, but I am alive in the sense that I can *feel* again! I must admit, it's weird, but it's wonderful!"

Xev

790 and I came around the corner just in time to hear Kai's news.

"That's wonderful, Kai! How did it happen, I mean, what caused it?" I was curious, maybe if Kai's emotions could reawaken, other things could too.

(Kai, you need Ridulin!! *grins*)

"Oh, yay, it's MY fault?" I grumbled. I had no idea what exactly it was that Kai was implicating me in, but it wasn't funny. I brushed my hair out of my face and remembered. I spun around and ran away, down the hall...

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

"Hello, most beutiful Xev!" Kai greeted as Xev came into his view. He walked up to her, took her hand in his, bent over and gave the back of her hand a gentle peck. Parts of his body that had never before reaped the benefits of his protoblood began to stir as he got closer to her.

"HEY! Leave my Xev alone, you overripe, long-extingushed, limp-pricked..." Seven-Ninety began.

"Seven-Ninety, OFF!" Xev exclaimed as quick as she could. That was the first time she had shown anything but annoyance while giving that command. This time, what she showed was mortification. "Pay no attention to him. I think it was very gallant of you."

"Thank you. As I was telling Stanley, I'm afraid I have largely no idea how I started feeling emotions again. I just started remembering how I felt when I was alive. I don't recall exactly events that happened while I was alive, but I remember how I feel. Maybe the specific events I'll recall later. Who knows?"

Just then, the stowaway seemed to work through our differing syntaxes and realized what Kai had said about her involvment. She misunderstood, because all Kai knew was that she was the trigger. He had no idea what the real cause was. Still, the stowaway ran off down the hall.

"Y'know, we should go after her," Kai suggested, then Stanley led the three of them after her.

Stanley Tweedle

At Kais suggestion we chase after her "She's not getting away again! After her!"

We chased after her for a short distance when I grabed 790 from Xev and flung him at the stowaways legs causing her to trip and fall to the floor.

Before she could get up I tackle her down and hold her still "Ok lady you better start talking or else uh.... well I dont know what I'll do but it wont be pretty!"

790 replied "What are you going to do Stan? Have sex with her like you did with the love of my life Xev?"

Xev

"790! One of these days, I am going to dismantle you!" Ooh, I had just about had it with that head. Embarassing me first in front if Kai and now, in front of everyone.

"Don't hurt her, Stanley. Where's Kai, he seems to be the only one who understands what she is saying."

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

"I'm - *sniff* - right here, Xev," Kai responded from a few yards behind them.

Xev left Stanley to the job of keeping the stowaway pinned down. "What's wrong, Kai?"

"Dear gods, I've killed so many people!" Kai moaned. "What must you think of me?"

Xev

Oh, this was not good. Walking over to Kai and letting him put his head on my shoulder, I tried to calm him. "Kai, it wasn't your fault. Those killing were ordered, you had no choice but to obey. We don't think any less of you."

I looked over at Stanley, eyes wide, this was not good at all.

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

As Xev pulled Kai to her to comfort him, Kai reached his arms around Xev and hugged her, sobbing all the while. Eventually, after some time, his crying slowed, and he leaned back in order to look at Xev.

"You're right, I guess. I didn't - *sniff* - have much choice, did I?"

"That's right, Kai, you weren't quite as 'whole' as you are now," Xev said.

"Kai, can you get over here for a moment? She's really fightin' now!" Stanley said.

Seven-Nintey couldn't help but interject: "That's because you started letting your hands wander, you pathetic weasel!"

Kai did his best to pull himself together. He stood up. "I'll be right there, Stanley."

Stanley Tweedle

Kai finally came back to my aid to hold down the stowaway. We both kept her pinned to the floor when I turned to Kai "You seem to understand what she's saying kai. Try to get some answers out of her!" We needed Kai to talk to the stowaway and find out what she was doing here.

"Perhaps I should start with her name?" Kai suggested to Stanley.

"Yeah, sure, that's fine."

Kai turned his gaze from Stanley to the stowaway. "May I ask what your name is, ma'am?" he asked her.

A name? aw, shit, you guys... you make me think too much!

(oooooold D&D character name here...

PRIMORDIAL!!! *psychotic grin* kill the Believers!!!!!!! damn little orange dudes...

oh, and activate the scenario editor... it KICKS ASS!!!

("Einstein would roll over in his grave... Not only does God play dice, but the dice are loaded.")

okay, IC now!!)

I bit and kicked at Stan. "Watch your hands!" I snapped at him. He let go and jumped back as my sharp teeth broke the skin. He swore and shook his hand, little droplets of blood flying everywhere. (maybe the right hand there, huh Renegade? a different captain now? *evil grin* )

I growled as he took a step closer, and he seemed to htink better of it. He started talking to Xev as Kai held me down.

I didn't resist him, as he HAD been an assassin and knew pressure points. I didn't want to test his skill; that was for sure!

He asked me my name, and I said, very softly, "Kaltreka." He looked at me closer and could barely make out the line of stars running down the side of my neck. I whimpered as he stared...

"Please let me go..."

(okay, that little line of stars... represents that she was a slave to His Divine Shadow for a long long time. Think harem girl.... just an unpopular one - HDS never bothered to use her. nothing really bad ever happened to her, so when he died she had nothing and no one, no money, nothing. all she had was her body, but she'd kept it safe for that long... so she hid on the Lexx and then you guys stole it. The Lexx knew her for a long time, and she'd asked it to not say anything unless asked, and as it was a friend, it didn't.)

Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

OOC: Hehe. A kindred Sid Meier fan, huh? You jes' full of surprises!

I concur, the Believers do suck....

Hey! Alpha Centauri thread! Plenty of characters to go around (just a thought...).

IC: Kaltreka pleaded with Kai to let her go, but Kai simply couldn't bear to let go of the new sensations he was feeling at the proximity to her body.

Kai looked at the stowaway, or rather at Kaltreka. He noticed that she had the star markings on her neck. Kai surmised that she was probably one of His Divine Shadow's more popular girls (OOC: no, I didn't misread Shila's post, I'm purposely having Kai assume wrongly) due to her very attractive build, but, then, His Divine Shadow was a bit fickle at times, as Kai remembered.

"How long have you been aboard the Lexx?" Kai now posed to her.

"I remember coming onto the Lexx, and then shortly after, you four came and took it along with me," Kaltreka said, still obviously fearful of Kai's potential abilities.

"I see." Kai's gaze repeadedly wandered up and down the length of Kaltreka's prostrate body. "Why didn't the Lexx inform us of your presence?"

"I asked it not to do so," Kaltreka said simply. "The Lexx and I have sort of formed a friendship."

Much as it pained him, Kai removed himself from atop Kaltreka. He approached Stanley and Xev and repeated what Kaltreka had told him.
