Lit Encouraged Diet Thread

I have decided to use Lit as a tool motivate and encourage me on my journey to get back in shape. I'm going to post at least one pic a week and comment on whether I've been sticking to the plan!

Anyone else interested in posting pics and joining Dietfest 2009 feel free to join me. Hopefully all the nice Litsters will cheer us on!

Wish me and whoever joins me luck! First pic coming when I weigh in at the gym in about an hour...

Hello..just wanted to give you good luck in your journey. I want you to know that you already look great

Hope you start to feel better and happier as you strive to fulfill your goal :rose:

Good luck to everyone else too :)

Great idea for a thread. I thought about starting a thread like thismyself but haven't started excercising yet :) You have my support. Im 46 245 lbs at 6'1" I need to get down to 200 again. I hope to join you here in your fitness goals and seeing Shai girl here moltivates me too. She's one the sweetest girls here at lit. Great to see you shai girl and you look great!!!

Welcome aboard! Maybe we can find some Lit hotties to reward us with pics if we show good progress each week???

Hey man, I've been there. It's a great feeling of accomplishment when the weight comes off. But don't do it for vanity. Do it for your health and how much better you will feel being lighter on your feet. Wishing you the best :)

a2005fantasy: Congrats on the weight loss after week1! Keep up the good work, and remember to eat healthy! ;) If not, you'll get a wee spank from me. :D Nice pic too. :)

klmar63: Thanks for the compliment re: my pic, and for saying I'm sweet! ;) But mind you, I'm not all sweetness and light. I stay away from Lit when I have PMS. :D

cdmcses: Yeah, losing weight is a difficult process, and it must be done for the right reasons. Not just for vanity, but for health & other feel-good reasons. :)

To all those who are trying to lose weight or adapt a healthier lifestyle, good luck in your journey! :)
I'm glad you were... uhm... inspired by my sweaty pic, and I'll try to take another photo next time! :D (if that's what it takes to encourage and motivate you guys. ;) )

Thanks so much cmsprincess. I'm not totally embarrassed about the way I look now, I just know I'm certainly capable of being healthier and in better shape. Plus I know it doesn't get any easier the older I get!

When I get closer to my goal I'll start taking some more risque pics, so hopefully that makes this enticing for more than just me lol.

I've actually been there myself too! I got up to 240 before and got back down to 200. I even ran a 2 mile race in 13:10 (I hope that is good), and I hate running long distances! Believe it or not I was a sprinter and high jumper in highschool (ahhh the glory days).

But I agree it is a great feeling and it opens up your mind to the goals you can acheive if really dedicate yourself.

Yes I hear ya. I need to lose a lot of weight too to be healthier and able to do more physical things..

(ummm, you can still take naughty photos....I, for one, would love to see *purrr)

Ok, this is rock bottom folks! Day 1 weigh-in is 229lbs. I won't settle for less than getting to 200.

Jaimee Foxx wrote the song that explains this pic.... "Blame it on the a-a-a-

a-a-alcohol..." lol

I think you look GREAT! I know we all have to keep fit, but i like a man with meat on his BONES:D don't loose to much:rose:

no update this week

Sorry but I'm out of town for a golf tournament this weekend so I'll have to update next week. I've had a couple setbacks but I still intend on showing progress next week!

Good luck, and don't use the golf cart...that'll help ;)

Good luck to you, and don't think too much re: the setbacks. :)

Easier said than done when its 101 and sunny! I do try to do that more often though.

LOL You are already doing better than me. Over 90 and I would spend the whole outing on the 19th hole :D

Hope things are going well :)

The only difference is that I bring the 19th hole with me in a cooler :D

I'm having trouble posting a pic from this morning. I might need to email it to someone so they can post it for me.

I would like to congratulate on your weight loss thus far and to encourage you to keep going. I was up to 215 a couple years back before I realized I had hit rock bottom. I deployed and went to the desert and ran 5 miles or so a day and got down to my current weight (165lbs). It's a great feeling of course seeing it come off, that is for damn sure. I know everyone keeps telling you to do it for the right reasons, but I know for a fact that when it comes to weight loss you want to see it just melt away, health reasons or not, you want it gone. So with that said, of course try to do it for health reasons and not for vanity, but at the same time, most people do it for the latter.

Well said my friend. A little for my health, a little for my own self confidence, and maybe a little so more Lit chicks will request pics :D

hahahaha! It's amazing how much the last thing you said will encourage you to lose it. Damn near all guys are all about looking good for women, and this is such a great area to get that type of encouragement.

Congratulations thus far for doing the work. Keep it up for you and for health and whatever other reasons you feel you want. I decided this week to lose some weight myself. I am trying out a couple things this week, but actually going to start on Monday. I am 6 foot and weigh 260. My ideal weight should be around 190, but my goal is 200 lbs. I do believe that encouragement and chatting with someone on a regular basis that are doing the same thing helps to keep the motivation going. Posting picures, well, I only have one full body of me now, but it seems I lost my camera and need to find a new one, so well see about posting pics.

Here's to our determination to lose and if anyone needs to talk, please don't hesitate to pm me. I'll be doing the same.

Hey, just another guy here weighing in with support for this. Good luck, mate, and stay strong!

Keep up the good work!

I just started a diet/exercise routine this week so I will join in on the updates. I started out at 320 lbs, won't weigh until next week though to see if any progress has been made.
