Lit Encouraged Diet Thread

Keep up the good work!

I just started a diet/exercise routine this week so I will join in on the updates. I started out at 320 lbs, won't weigh until next week though to see if any progress has been made.

Great! I'm telling you people, this thread helps a bunch. And seeing results (though it can take a while) can be kinda addictive.

I'm at 232 lbs. And want to get down to 200 also. Going on a mini 4 day Carnaval Cruise in October. So between this thread and the cruise. I have lots of inspiration:D

Well sadly, I have no before pic to share, yet. Had a house full of relatives all weekend. Kinda hard to sneak off and take your own picture LOL

Might look funny if someone saw the camera flash from under the bathroom door:D

But I'll work on it;)
 
I've been at this since Jan. Although maybe I'll start taking pictures too. I started at about 225, and I'm now about 212. I've been mostly doing a lot of running since a buddy and I are training for a marathon too. When I started I couldn't do one mile without stopping. Now I can go 5.

You are right though, the diet part is the hardest. I work out pretty well, but I have yet to be able to turn down food (or beer).

Clean plate club for life!

Wow its scary how similar we are. I did the sensible thing yesterday and had a buffalo burger for lunch instead of a cheeseburger... Uh, not the same.

I'm going to the gym now so I'll probably be posting progress soon!
 
week 4 results

I weighed in at 225 today, so no change from last week. I usually weigh in after my morning workout when I'm at my lightest, but I didn't work out today. That could be a pound or two of sweating right there!

Today is my birthday so the diet is taking a day off. I have planned two rounds of golf today and a party tonight so wish me luck!

Don't worry too much about the numbers. If you've been working out all this time, I'll guarantee you're healthier and feeling better...that's what really matters.

Well, I had my first offical weigh in this morning after starting the exercise and diet plan. I lost 4.6 pounds! Maybe there is something to this afterall.

heartforhire: I'm sure those 4 hours weren't really wasted. After all, you were able to release your, umm, frustration, right? ;) So that's still a success! :D

There really is something to it! I realize I don't actually know any Litsters, but I feel like I'd be letting them down if I slack. Some people will say its for the wrong reasons, but if it make me lose the belly, so be it!

week 5 results

Weighed in at 224 today, down one pound from last week. I don't think the pic will show it but I'm feeling better and I'm up to running 4 miles on my jogs ;)
