Lit Encouraged Diet Thread

Thanks for the b-day wishes! I've spent more than 4hrs "thinking" of you, and they for sure weren't wasted ;)

Hey, we have the same birth month! Just celebrated my b-day this Friday. :)

Hmm... can I be honest? Looking at your most recent and comparing that with your profile pic, seems like you really have to lose a few more pounds. You look great already (based on what I've seen of your face and other body parts), but you'll look even greater without the beer belly. :) Hope you keep on running, jogging, and continuing your journey to fitness! ;)

I couldn't agree with you more. I got lazy and let beer get the best of me. I'm so glad I'm reading your post right before I leave for the gym!!

Well, I had my second weigh in last friday. Total lost was 8.6 pounds. Here is a picture of me working out, nude of course.

Great thread

I lost a bunch of weight 5 years ago, almost 90 pounds. Got down to 180, and now let it creep back up to 210. A couple weeks ago I took a big ugly naked picture, and hung it in my bathroom (nobody else uses it!!), and put a photoshopped picture of next to it showing what I'll likely look like in about 3 or 4 months. REALLY MOTIVATING!!!!

I'd love to hear about other's successes as well!!

That's the same reason I posted mine here.

A little update... I'm up to running 4.5 miles now so there is no way I won't lose weight at my next weigh-in. (If I don't I'm giving up and saving for liposuction lol)

Hey a2005Fantasy. Id like to thank you for making a start to this post, alot of the people here have been a huge help to myself.
Its very inspiring to hear real stories from real people!
A few years ago i was in great shape, playing top level rugby at a young age and being scouted for professional teams. But when i was 16 i destroyed my ankle, and then suffered from depression for 2 years...
My life came down around me as i struggled with exams and course work, id never needed exams, i was going to be a professional rugby player! Wrong.... Life took that away.
I hated myself.. and slowly i put the weight on... 2 years ago i was 16 stone, now im pushing 22... I eat non stop...
Now, if no1 will laugh at me, i want to show pictures of how i am now (22 stone) and over the coming weeks and months, get back 2 top shape, if its not tooo late to get started with you that is?

Thanks

Absolutely you can join us, or anyone else for that matter. There is no deadline to starting with us, just like its never too late turn turn your health around if you are truly commited.

I hate to hear about what happened to your rugby dream, as I had a similar ending to my football dream. I gained the weight just like you once I became inactive. Keep your chin up, I'm sure you will find there is much more to life after sports.

So hop onboard!

Thank you very much mate, can i PM you? I dont know how to post pictures.

ill be as dedicated as i possibly can, i want that 6pac every man dreams of! And to fit into my prom suite again, the last time i was 16 stone.

I think i almost died laughing there matey! Nice beaver
Great pic, keep up the good work mate.

Sioux City Male: very cute pic! I had a good chuckle over that. But, didn't I see that beaver somewhere else? :p

a2005fantasy: Wow, 4 miles! I can only do 2 miles - and most of it walking. But oh well, I was never really an athlete in the first place. Hey, don't do the lipo - but keep saving the money, and maybe buy gym equipment?! :D

rugby male: Good luck on your efforts! If you want to post pics, you have to resize them so that they'll be less than 450 x 600 pixels. :)

Yeah, he does pop up once in a while. Tomorrow is my weigh in. I will let everyone know the results. Maybe i'll post another pic as well. Maybe a before and after pics. However, the squirrel is not in them Just a forwarn here, I don't look good naked.

Time for my weekly weigh in! Maybe we could get other results here aswell?
Ive been to the gym tonight, ran there and back aswell! *Celebrates*
Weigh in was hard... its time i come to my senses, ive got alot of hard work ahead of me.
23stone 5pounds. Which in whole pounds is (I think) 290 pounds.
ALOT of work to do lol

I had my weigh in yesterday. Total lost, 10 pounds. I will get a photo taken and will post a before and after pics.

Rugby Magic: Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Good luck! :)

Sioux City Male: Wow, congrats on losing 10 lbs! If you don't want to post nakey pics, you can include the beaver once again. :D

Diet day is here once more!....
*Steps onto scales before going to gym, only fair*
Wow! 22 stone 2. Thats One stone and 3 pounds in a week!

I'm game. Currently at 6' and 247 lbs. Somewhat muscular but at 48 gravity has pulled my chest down to my waist. :)

I lost my job about 3 weeks ago. I'm getting paid through the end of the year so it's not bad. I have been able to increase my workouts - biking 20-30 miles in the morning and going to the gym for more cardio and weights in the evening. The 247 is already ten pounds down from the last day I was employed. Don't give up - just remember you need to exert more calories than you take in so cut your portions a little at a time. That's what I've been doing and it keeps me from feeling like I'm starving. Good luck to all!

I have been stating that I would post a before and after photos. Well, here they are. The first pic is of me at 262.4, the second pic is me 12.4 pounds lighter.

Only lost 3 this week. Kinda bummed I think I might have hit the proverbial wall

Congrats to all the people in this thread who've lost weight. Stay healthy & fit (and eat smaller portions). ;)

Sioux City Male: I could see a slight decrease around your belly. Kudos! :)

Rugby Magic: How much does one stone weigh? Congrats on the weight loss. ;)

mulehead1: I agree - small frequent feedings are better. Sorry you lost your job. But hey, you're getting paid until the end of the year, which is a good thing, right? Now you can have more "me" time. :)

mato378: I don't think 3 pounds a week is too bad. Depends on what your original and target weight. Hope you continue your program. :)

I weigh in tomorrow. I cheated on Sunday, big time and paid the price for that, but the rest of the week, I was on track so we will see what happens. Wish me luck.:)

Well, I weighed in today, I am at 246.4 pounds. That's 3.6 pounds lost this week. Even with the cheating on Sunday. I think it's prety good. I broke the 250 pound mark. I haven't been at this weight for 15-18 years. Yeah me!!!:D
