Obama: Voter ID Laws Do Not Stop 'our Folks' From Voting

Let me guess.
You do not live in Ms.
Probably have never been in the state.
Do not know the laws of the state.
Know nothing about Ms. politics.

But you know for sure what I said is not the truth.
Why not do a little search on it before making a fool of yourself?

That makes you wrong twice today. Care to try for 3?

"Pay the ID card application fee, currently $13 for the first ID card, by cash. The Mississippi DPS does not accept payments by check, credit or debit card."

Look at the dates of your post about ID. It was before voter ID was voted in.
To stop all of the bullshit about people not having an ID they decided to give them away and provide transportation back and forth.
You would have been right a few years ago. It is time to start living in today and not the past.
There have been and still are commercials on all tv stations telling people about the free ID. Also tells them where to call for free transportation.

Sorry about your failure to keep up with modern times.

It is EASY and FREE! Beginning in January 2014, all Mississippi Circuit Clerks will be authorized to issue Mississippi Voter Identification cards to all Mississippi registered voters who do not have any of the other acceptable forms of photo ID.
See the list of clerk's offices.
1.You must first be a registered voter in Mississippi. Download a voter registration form.
2.Go to any Circuit Clerk's office during regular business hours. (Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) If you need a ride, call 1-855-868-3745.
3.Present ONE form of acceptable identification. Check the list of acceptable documents.
4.If you do not have any of the identification documents listed, the clerk may verify birth information free of charge if you provide your date of birth, the state where you were born, and your mother's maiden name.
5.Complete and sign a Voter ID Application. Assistance will be provided, if requested.
View a sample application form.
6.Have your picture taken at the Circuit Clerk's office.
7.Your Voter ID card will be mailed to you.
8.If the next election is within 45 days, you will receive a receipt for your Mississippi Voter Identification Card from the Circuit Clerk. The receipt may be used as your photo ID when voting at the polls.

You went for three, good for you.

The Photo ID's are only free if you already have a photo ID. If you don't have a photo ID a voter card MIGHT be free.

just an update...case you haven't figured it out yet. SqtPepperWannabe is a mental defective. He use to be a teacher but isn't allowed to be around children and thankfully his school district and union protect him by moving him into a "admin" job

I went to the bank the other day to deposit some money into MY account. I filled my deposit slip and gave the money and deposit slip to the teller and she calmly asked for my ID. No problem I have a valid drivers license and valid passport. She completed the transaction, then I asked her why I needed an ID to deposit into MY account and she said is was bank policy to prevent fraud. WOW

Another scenario I went to a national chain restaurant for a cold beer after work sat down and order my beer. The bartender asked for my ID which I had no problem presenting. I ask why, and he said to make sure I was old enough (I have grey hairs in my goatee) I am 55 and that if the TABC Texas Alcholic Beverage Commission officers walked in all patrons must have an ID to be in the bar area. WOW

Third scenario I went to see my son in San Diego several weeks and flew U.S. Air and guess what they asked me for. WOW!

What is the big complaint about presenting an ID when you vote? Do you complain any other time. I don't care who you vote for just quit you bitching. Bobby.

Voting is a right, none of the other things you mention are rights. And honestly I'd be pro-ID to vote if it weren't for tthe dual issues of voter fraud being incredibly rare and more work than it's worth and the obvious fact that the push for it is aimed entirely at limiting the Dm vote.

That's the point I made. If suppressing the black vote is the goal Democrats should be gleeful that Republicans are so unsuccessful at it. They should secretly hope the Republicans push through more such measures. Minority voting percentages goes up where ID is required.

Possibly because the Democrats have been stuffing the ballot boxes with white folks from nursing homes and graveyards.

Not only does minority voting go up it gives them more ammo for the whole false narrative that Democrats have been looking out for black folks for over 200 years, don'cha know!

There is one reason, and one reason only, that voter ID scares Democrats.

No, we shouldn't. Just because your plan isn't working (if it's not, I find it difficult to buy that changing the hours for voting in Black Neighborhoods which is given the exact same justifications has zero effect.) doesn't mean we should congratulate you.

If the dems have been stuffing the ballot boxes proove it, or do it if it's truly impossible to prove. I mean if you honestly think your losing control of your country because you're too noble to play the game well that's adorable and everything but outside of Disney movies sticking to your morals doesn't actually win fights.

How is filling out a form, waiting for the mail, then filling out a ballot for $15 apiece "wasting your time?"

That's pretty good work if you know the right Democrats.

That was the going rate in Mississippi for "get out the vote." Do you think those who are paying the cash really care is you happen to commit voter fraud while getting them the votes they are paying for? Their hands are (relatively) clean.

I imagine it's more in LA.

That guy that turned in 200 absentee ballots in Phoenix performed labor worth $3000. Was he paid that? More? Less? Were all 200 from real, living people? Did the people fill out the ballots or did he? What's easier making up a name and waiting for the mail to be delivered, finding someone that is unlikely to know you used their name, or going door to door to find people that are not already registered, but are willing to be registered and have you come back and pick up their ballot?

That form is run through existing records. You need to know their SSN So you're not going to be registering people at random. You getting someone to commit fraud does you no good because the system will kick it back out.

I already granted that if your argument is that absentee voting should be done away with that i have no problem with that granted we make it an official day off for all non-essential personell with no exceptions. Problem fucking solved for the most part. I even gave away to get past that hurdle for those who cannot for whatever reason. Send people to them, one from each party if necessary.

However if you think he did something wrong (but clearly legal) it's your own dumbass fault for not either changing the laws or doing the same.

You are wrong again.
Didn't you read the post right above yours?
You can use a pay check stub, hunting or fishing license, bank statement, work id, utility bill, just about anything that has your name and address on it.

Slow down for a couple of minutes and read the post right above you.
Free ID started in January 2014. Notice they even give a phone number for a free ride.

Thanks for the info. I am new on this forum and don't know the local kooks yet.

Sean, if you believe this then you must also believe that the Right to Bear Arms, should not be restricted. Why then must a person show id, and go through a background check to exercise that particular right? Who decides what rights come with paperwork and inconvenience?

Neither your post or the website say you can use any of the documents you listed.

Here's what the website says you can use. Again, according to the state website the only way to get a FREE photo ID, is to have photo ID.

A driver's license
A photo ID card issued by a branch, department, or entity of the State of Mississippi
A United States passport
A government employee ID card
A firearms license
A student photo ID issued by an accredited Mississippi university, college, or community/junior college
A United States military ID
A tribal photo ID
Any other photo ID issued by any branch, department, agency or entity of the United States government or any State government
A Mississippi Voter Identification Card

You, more than anyone else, forfeited the right to ask for facts when you refused to accept published government figures about Obamacare enrollment.

"We cannot believe any numbers put out by a government agency headed by a nigger" - Contrifan32

Just about the response I would expect from you. The racist quote was a par for your course too.

Not really, but nobody believes that.

a million dollars a day says that it is in yours.

That well known bastion of truthiness, The daily Caller, calls the Fraser Institute "nonpartisan". Wiki sez different:

According to journalist Murray Dobbin, 31% of the Fraser Institute's revenue come from corporations and 57% from "business-oriented charitable foundations" such as the Donner Foundation and the free-market-oriented John Dobson Foundation.[14] In addition, a report stated that Fraser Institute received $120 000 in funding from oil giant ExxonMobil.[15] During 2008-2010, the US-based Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation and the Claude R. Lambe Foundation, both under the control of billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, provided a total of US$500,000 to the Fraser Institute.[16][17]

Oh, this is nice:

In late 1997, the Institute set up a research program emulating the UK's Social Affairs Unit, called the Social Affairs Centre. Its founding Director was Patrick Basham. The program's funding came from Rothmans International and Philip Morris.[41] When Rothmans was bought by British American Tobacco (BAT) in 1999, its funding ended,[42] and in 2000 the Institute wrote to BAT asking for $50,000 per year, to be split between the Social Affairs Centre and the Centre for Risk and Regulation.[41] The letter highlighted the Institute's 1999 publication Passive Smoke: The EPA's Betrayal of Science and Policy,[43] "which highlighted the absence of any scientific evidence for linking cancer with second-hand smoke [and] received widespread media coverage both in Canada and the United States".[41] At this time the CEO of BAT's Canadian subsidiary, Imasco, was also on the Fraser Institute's Board of Trustees.[42] The Fraser Institute ceased disclosing its sources of corporate funding in the 1980s.[42] In 2000 the Institute published another industry-friendly paper, a History of Tobacco Regulation by Filip Palda.[44]

According to U.S. tax documents, The Fraser Institute received $150,000 from the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation in 2008, $175,500 in 2009, and another $150,000 in 2010. The grants were purportedly for "research support" and "educational programs".[

Awe, the junkie must have run out of crack to smoke

cheers, froggy

Just about the response I would expect from you. The racist quote was a par for your course too.

He loves using those words by pretending to attribute them to someone else. I think he's a victim of poor potty training.

Shouldn't be too hard to prove me wrong then. Let's see your cite.

Hell man, I live here. One of the leading politicians has a commercial on local tv telling what all people can use to get an ID. Just about anything that will show you are a citizen of the state will work.

Why should I try to prove you wrong? You have shown everyone beyond any doubt that you don't know what you are talking about and are too stupid to stop making a fool of yourself.
Do you think I would stop you from making sure everyone knowing you don't know what you are talking about? I am pretty sure they already know but you are removing any doubt that they might have.

This is fun.
