Just throwing this out there for anyone interested in such a thing, which place would be better? I know of a few Litsters from Toronto, and not so many from the Ottawa area..

Let's hear some feedback on this folks :)

I think there's been a Canadian lit-together before, but can't recall.

I'm putting my vote in for T.O.. Mainly just because it's a lot closer. I do recall hear ing about a Canadian Lit-Together before as well....though I can't remember where or when it was.

I could go either place and hubby has never been to Ottawa so I'd like to go there, but Toronto is an easier drive and closer.. I'm going to vote toronto but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity if it ended up in Ottawa

Voting for Hogtown.

I live there and it's very difficult for me to get anywhere else.

hop on a plane, there's nice airports at either city ;)
I have been to the toronto one, but that was a few years ago. Have a date in mind yet?

Not as of yet.. the more people who I know that are coming, the more I can plan.. I have a few people to talk to that might not be able to make it until early next year some time.. like Feb or so.. I'm sure some won't want to wait that long.. so we'll have to see.

I said Toronto - only because I'm really lazy when it comes to traveling lately lol :)

Ottawa would be easier for me to get to, but i'm going to try to make it either way.

I'm not one for travelling in winter so either spring or late fall would be best here, as long as I dont' end up getting pregnant again I should be around lit for atleast that long :p

Since I'm in downtown T.O. where else can I vote? ;)

There was at least one other get-together earlier this year or late last year and the thread was posted in the General section. I think that "Rudenastyassbitch" was one of the participants.

What a great idea. There's been a few in Montreal. ;)

Ottawa is closer to me but I might be convinced to attend the TO one...

Well, as everyone can see, Toronto is in the lead..

Now, I was thinking more along the lines of Late fall or early spring myself.. probably early spring.. so this is just to see where the best place to host it would be.. One idea was for spring break, next year.. which is in like Feb (not really spring in Canada, but hey..) would people be able to make a Feb. get to gether?

if it's held during a weekend, i might be able to. depends which weekend though cause my son's birthday is in february.

Just thinking out loud, mostly because I know the city:

I think summer might be nice. I know it's a little harder for uni students (the ever important summer job) - but there's so much to do in the general area: CNE, Wonderland. Heck, just going over to center island and kicking back on the beach would be a lot of fun!

Nightlife is also a lot easier in the summer (no big coats, less clothes.... did I say that out loud....?)

I mean, a year from now is a long time - but it would also give us time to work out what we want to do, where and all that :D

Yeah, the main reason I'm thinking spring break is that my girlfriend could possibly attend with me :p I'll vetto that if the general consensus is a different time of year of course.

Can't even get 2 days off?
It's not like you're terribly far off from TO ;)
Um, I'm not.. she is.. She's attending university in Nova Scotia.

LOL, well, that's a bit farther away then - still no excuse for not coming in the summer ;)
