Rant and a question for lesbians

High IQ and proud of it.

I'm glad I have a high IQ and I usually don't like ignorant and/or dumb people. Trust me, I know, I dated one once; we had nothing in common and so we couldn't talk about anything we both knew something about.

Oh Gods, don't get me started on the "bible belt" issue. That's one reason my family has NO clue! "Backrow Southern Baptist" is an apt description for them.

Anyway, I wasn't trying to be arrogant about the whole IQ issue. Just trying to make a point. Shouldn't have included that bit, because it distracted from the main idea.

SEVERUSMAX: it is not, that I use the "Jante Law" on you, since it is not.
I just feel in some ways the whole IQ thing is getting out of hand. But if I remember right, then we had some kind of discussion about your high IQ, long time ago. So do me a favour about the high IQ, and stuff it. Since all that high iq stuff is sickening to me. In many ways. Sorry if you feel I am using to harsh words about it. it just reminds me of Scientologys shit iq test in 80´s when my sister and I were kids, and my father asked them, of how stupid you should be to pass the test. Heck, I have met many people with a high iq, I would still punch in the face, because of their attitude (not you by the way, so no worries). And the only thing that held me back was my mind saying, it isn´t worth the hazzle. But still IQ is a joke to me.

Being the son of a Baptist minister...I can relate.

Then let's just drop it, eh?

People the last post from me, was of course truthful, that I would drop it. The other stuff was something I felt I would show , of what I felt would have been childish to do :)

Father = baptist minister; grandfather - song director of baptist church

We need a support group or something...damn....gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender preacher's kids...lol.... ;) Incidentally, my dad's church once had a song director who turned out to be gay....very sad when he was basically asked to leave because of it. :( He wasn't a bad man, after all.

Support group sounds good. I know as soon as it comes out, I'm out the door family wise. That and when another little announcement gets dropped too, but that might not ever come up. My mom might be cool with it. Her best friend in high school came out shortly after graduation and she keeps in close contact with him all the time.

My dad, brother, etc...no...I'll probably be disowned quickly.

Hmmm it is a sad world we live in, where the socalled Christians are homophobic, when nothing In JCs own words said anything about homophobia AT ALL !

Hugs. :rose: My dad gave me this weird look when I admitted to bisexual tendencies once. Well, I didn't want to say anything, given the circumstances, but he asked me if I was "gay", so I figured that it was time to clarify the situation.

No, but they reference the old testament Sodom and Gomorah for that. *sighs* As my friend said, cleanliness and population were probably a BIG contribution as to why that was not allowed. No need for that now considering the advances in both.

My dad flipped out when he heard that my mom's high school friend was gay. He almost didn't let her go to her 20 year reunion and even then, she wasn't allowed to hug him. What does that tell you?

Damn, that sucks. :rose: Sounds like we have tons of horror stories that we could trade. Glad that we are able to come out here, if not with our own families....

No kidding. I think I'd go bonkers if it wasn't for the group here.

So he took the old testament story ?

Fuck, that sucks major, Jesus fucking Christ. All that shit, sorry if you don´t qoute Paulus aka. Saulus, then you quote the old testament. Poor you NJ, I wish you lived closer to me, then I would put you under my guardian arms, and give the finger to your family. So you could live out yourself as a lesbian.

Oh yeah..he divorced my mother, remarried, and is now going Seven Day Advent so he can go back to preaching. Baptists won't allow divorced people in the podium. *sighs* And Seventh day goes more OT, so you know I'm in for double whammy.

Ouch....that must hurt a lot....well, that explains perhaps why your mom isn't marching in lock step with him now. :rose:

My dad....well, let's just say that he wasn't totally faithful to my mom...and leave it at that.

LOL...let me explain a bit. My dad had a girlfriend in high school. I knew about her. Her name ALWAYS came up. He suddenly found her online a few years back, she started talking to my mom. My mother found out that his old GF was abused by her husband so invited her to live with them. Now she's out and the old highschool sweetheart is living in the new house.

My mother has come a long way since the divorce and I've dropped a few hints. SHe hasn't reacted negatively.

Sounds very rough.... :rose: But I'm glad that she is more open-minded to you....

I haven't come right out and said anything so there's no telling how she'll take it. She doesn't exactly have all her french fries in her happy meal, if you know what I mean.

Damn....that must be difficult, too....have or rather had relatives like that. :rose:

well NJ you know i'm always here to talk if you need someone.

Thank you, Tiffany. I appreciate that...appreciate all of you.

Yeah, Sev, it's hard. I think the women on my mom's side of the family is a bit on the unstable side. My aunt hasn't spoken to me in years and when I emailed her to send congrats for my cousin's wedding, she told my mom she wasn't going to respond because she heard I was wiccan. LOL - if only she knew the truth. But that just shows how off the wall my whole family is.

wow is all i can say NJ..

on a side note wolfie i got a 140IQ ;) *sorry just gotta tease you a bit you know i love you man*

well i kinda posted my rant in another thread so no ranting from me for now other then my freaking broken foot.
