Sanders job is done, he should quit the race

If you do, it's the equivalent of a 10-foot man who misses a dunk. The party would be better off denying you were ever a member.

I completely disagree. It's not like a ten foot man missing a dunk. It's like Micheal Jordon and Magic Johnson going one on one, winner is is team captain. You're stronger with both.

Bullshit. If you don't you should be driven from the party in most cases.

Which wouldn't be a long drive back to Independent for Bernie. He hasn't bothered to change his Independent designation in the U.S. Senate even now.

Again, in terms of this honesty people tag Sanders with, it will be interesting how long and how diligent he'll continue to be for the Democratic Party when he hasn't gotten the nomination. Will he have given the big lie--that he was running to be the Democratic Party president without having any intention of being a Democratic Party member?

I completely disagree. It's not like choosing a team captain. As I wrote before, I'm betting he either is the Democratic nominee or is not a choice on the ballot for any party. In this case, "both" is not an option.

You're foaming at the mouth ineffectually again. :D

DINO deflection and denial again. :D

Admit it, if it weren't for the homophobia/racism you'd be a Republican.

It's ok.....lot's of folks worship at the alter of Sachs. ;)

Umm, no. I've always been an Eleanor Roosevelt Democrat. It's really your problem that you don't want to accept that or think deep enough thoughts to understand what that is.

I can say one thing between you and me--I'm not the one who is going to rot in his own self-inflicted bitterness, bile, and impotence.

they both want to make the country better

I read 2 straight posts by you that both claim he should support Hilary.

I would have no problem with her being President (support him over her, but her over any GOP), & I never have a problem when any candidate ends campaign/drops-out, but IMO, if you publicly announce you're supporting someone you were running against (in same party or in nat'l election), you might as well have never run.

Bernie was willing to promise and/or demand more. Hilary wants many of the same thing but thinks we should move slower. Once Bernie sees that he can't win, then he is hurting the very things he wants to accomplish by continuing to run. He gave it his best shot and he proved that there is a deep vein of support. He can still swing Hilary to the left by keeping up his talks but just attack the republicans, they are the 'real' enemy. The real victory will be keeping the republicans out of the white house and taking back the Senate.

I'll have to say that if he wants anything to stick with Hillary, he'll need to fight for it to the end--and then, if he's serious about the substance and this isn't just a vanity campaign--he'll negotiate and compromise and get at least some of what he's fighting for into her national campaign and administration program, which will be toward the good, because she needs to be moved more toward the progressive but still won't put up with too much wheels-spinning pie-in-the sky efforts.

I remain afraid, though, that this is, in fact, a vanity campaign for him and he'll just walk away from it and go back to sponsoring bills naming post offices, talking pie in the sky, and leaving his starry-eyed followers high and dry.

Keep telling yourself that Wall St.

LOL

I don't care enough to wind up those things.

I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want....Clinton can suck my dick and so can the GOP and whatever tool they shit on Trump with.

You can burn this bitch to the ground and I'll still be staking paper, gold, grain whatever. ;)

Yeah, I get that you'll say whatever you want. I doubt you'll actually do anything. You and Bernie have that much in common. You're just an empty for me, though.

LOL I'm already doing it dumb shit...hahahaha

Bernie can still serve a useful purpose if he stays in until the end and pushes the party further to the left. Hillary has moved from right of center to left of center and promises "incremental progress" even though we all know that she's lying her ass off and she will be another Corporate shill like Obama.

If she wants to prove what a strong President she will be she will appoint a hard assed AG who will indite the GWB Neocons for war crimes and extradite them all to the Hague for trial under international law.

Then Bernie's work will be done!

I'm really not interested in a Civil War simply to prove my morals are bigger than other people's.

He's done his duty. Hillary moved right on past addressing him this evening. I, for one am glad he pulled her to the left, but his influence on her is over.

The longer our Executives fail to apply the law to everyone the weaker our government "for and of the people" becomes. The longer America allows the "Elite" to get probation and the Minorities to get the chair for the same crime the deeper the corruption becomes embedded in our society.

In 20-30 years our corruption will be so bad we will have a civil war because the great unwashed will not be able to afford food and shelter and they will rise up and completely destroy this country. The Gated Communities will no longer be able to hold off the starving hordes and the rule of law will be a thing of the past. Canada will build a border fence to insure their domestic tranquility and our grandchildren will pay the price for our pusillanimity.

I'm as liberal as they come, trust me on this one, but that nonsense perfectly mirrors the fear mongering coming from the right.

We've come so far equality wise as where we started off as a country. Would us to be progressing more rapidly? Yes. Do we still have a long, long way to go? Yes. Are we currently doing everything in our power to take huge steps backwards, or slow our progress? Yes. We're closer to a thriving middle class with equality for all than we ever have been.

Now is not the time to opt out, unless you want to aid the pendulum's swing in the wrong direction.

.

Last I checked Hillary's financial backers have fucked the poor/middle class to death over the past 30 years and even stagnated the upper middle class to an extent and is still working it's way up. Rich are getting richer than ever faster than ever.

Or is that only when they are backing a Bush? :D

Yep, it takes money to run a presidential campaign. Do you honestly think that a Hillary presidency would mirror either of the Bush's?

It doesn't take that kinda money....honestly the fact that it has gotten to billion+ dollar campaigns is god damn ridiculous. There is no reason these folks can't ride military PAC flights and run their shit on PBS. It's already paid for.

I would like to cut pol's off entirely.....if you can't live on the full bennies package and the 200k a year salary you're paid then you don't have any fucking bidnizz in public service. They are supposed to be legislators and executive officers, not pimps and thugs.

I don't think it would mirror, but I think it would be far more Bush like than anyone in the Hillary camp will ever be willing to admit.

Sanders most useful contribution has been to provide opposition to HC. She is at her best when fighting back.

As for Sanders himself, he seems a nice old guy. His real achievements, 50% of 5/8 of fuck all. He has never, repeat never achieved any single substantive improvement or change in his entire career. As I said , a nice old guy and a windbag.

Hillary should keep him in play for now, be nice when he eventually withdraws and commits to her election, suggest she might be able to do something for him, but make no promises. Then as soon as the election is over, kick the old goat over the nearest cliff. Sanders' only future is not as a has been, but as a never was. Realpolitik!

The winner of the election will have two tasks in the first six months which will affect the USA for 20 years. First, make Congress work again after doing nothing but obstruct for years. Second, appoint two justices to the SC (replacing Scalia and almost certainly Ginsberg).

I'm with you for getting the money out of politics, but that is not the reality, yet. Keep that in mind when voting, as I said a huge part of this cycle is SCOTUS appointments.

First ain't happening....GOP is going to stamp it's feet and say no. It's ok though, Hillary will likely sign most EVERYTHING they put in front of her.

2nd...I bet they are looking at confirming what's his face the Obama pick right now.

I doubt they want to leave it to Trump/Clinton.

But maybe.

Well it won't be changing with Clinton or Trump in office LOL they are the heart and soul of the plutocracy.

So you're right it's all about SCOTUS appointments.
