Sex & Shenanigans

I can't take it anymore....in American "English" the word butter may be used as a descriptor of another product to show its spreadable similarity to the dairy product. Is apple/peanut/duct butter butter? No. Does it SPREAD like butter? Yes.

Go ahead...throw tomatoes, I'm wearing my safety glasses.
One very gentle tomato: I don't think apple butter spreads like butter. It's basically a form or jam or jelly, and it spreads a lot more like either of those than like butter.

Also: what the hell is duct butter? The stuff the breast produces before colostrum?

Butter made from churning duct tape.

Adhesive that....spreads like butter (for Vagrant's clarification) that seals the connections together in ventilation ductwork. HVAC lingo

Oh, I see. I was thinking that was a typo, but I learned something interesting. Thanks!

I saw that before your reply, and was going to joke that they must make it from decocting the adhesive on the back of the tape, and then straining the webbing out, but then turns out, that's not far off!
