<sigh> been a long week with my first really big event since surgery.
I survived but today is finally PT Eval day so we will see what she thinks.
All 3 doctors are happy. I can do a few things I couldn't do months before this surgery.
Still have my goals list & am hitting most my daily goals so I don't slip into the whole depression crap.

Paul We got to read the surgery report today. My PT was able to get a copy.
She read it 3 times & was OMG... EACH TIME. She's freaked out & now so am I.
Not wanting to make anyone sick & kill the thread so I posted what was crazy in the get well thread.
I'm still grounded more then ever now until next week when she can get me into rotation to start physical therapy.

I've been up and running early today. Had to hit the Laundromat so I can be clear to be house bound all weekend. We are having those power boat grand prix races here all weekend. they expect 30K worth of crowds. Since I'm only 2 minutes from the water I figured it would be best to just get locked down here & not fight the crowds to just get normal stuff done.

The weekend is almost upon us! I'm looking forward to it myself - it's been a bit of a long and grinding week at work, so I'm looking forward to turning my brain off and enjoying two days of beautiful leisure, one of the things California is made for.

Since I'm only 2 minutes from the water I figured it would be best to just get locked down here & not fight the crowds to just get normal stuff done.

I had mixed feeling on my first experience with dorm life at school but really loved my first apartment. The negatives though were laundromats, not all of them are equal to others. Big events that packed in the crowds weren't fun when you had to go somewhere

The new apartment is great but it's an in law apartment and the family didn't include the use of the laundry area. But that's ok. This laundromat is a place up by my friend's coffee shop & he said to try it. Their landlord just took over and has his son running it. My friend unlocks it at 6 am each day when he opens the coffee shop. The stuff all works now & is clean. The prices are 25 cents cheaper per load & the washers are larger. So I tried it today since it's only 2 minutes away. I'll keep going there as long as they keep the place up. I can slip down for coffee and be much closer then the other one I was driving over to the next village for.

Since I moved I'm only 2 minutes from the water instead of 5 minutes. So we have cones to set out to make sure people don't block us in the drive ways when they street park. With my shoulder still being wonky from surgery it's just easier on me to park my butt home this weekend. Besides I'm still a little freaked out from reading the surgery report & my PT is sitting on me even more to not do too much. So I will do Friday Flag Wave, make a quick grocery stop on he way home and hide.

BTW... I really liked those pictures. You should try a series. Pick a theme and go for it!

That had to have been an ah ha moment. I had a roommate in a two bedroom apartment who consistently brought some of the loudest screaming women home on bar nights. I found another place as soon as I could. Some of those women were downright scary...

OMG I can't even imagine. Smart move on your part. I can't understand some people. It's not like she lived alone and her choices didn't affect you, your rights and privacy. All that was missing was a cyber stalker and you coming home to a CSI moment.

I'm glad I missed any roomies like this one too. It was bad enough dealing with the renters in the front part of the house at my old place. They stole my stuff, broke things of mine, set off my car alarm trying to break into it, set outside at 3am razzing their motorcycle. Thank God I could move my stuff into my apartment from the shared areas and lock my doors but I ended up having to wait them moving out cause the landlords refused to do anything.

2nd day of boat races here. So far I have been able to get in & out of here pretty easy.
But that was Friday. With most the public having the weekend off I am sure it will get crazy here.
Staying away from the village proper and the waterfront where the boat show and the races are happening.

Whew! Yard's cut and trimmed and I've been looking at some scary tree branches I need to take down. Being up on a ladder with a chainsaw is absolutely not one of my favorite things to do. But its been a prettier day outside today then yesterday was so that's a plus.

just 4 more to circle back to find after leaving Voicemails.
The boats haven't been too horribly loud here. It's been the helios
from the TV stations hanging over head that have been loudest.

TN you should be glad I can't road trip so you are safe.

I had nightmares last night. I got 11 of my 15 veterans all wrapped up for the next Honor Flight on June 6th. It took me all week to calm down but I ended up with nightmares of that nasty volunteer guy who came up, got pushy & almost knocked me down trying to get by to the TSA line. Today I need to write an email of Thanks to my head Deputy & the lady deputy who pulled that guy away as soon as he touched me. I have no doubt he would have knocked me down female wearing a sling or not. I already know if my Sheriff's Deputies step down from this event I will walk away from it. My HF event boss didn't have my back even with the Deputies & Active Duty Military there as witnesses. She refused to listen to me or any of them.

Got all of my first 15 calls done & now I'm in limbo until everyone on the call team catches up with me.

I sent a Thank You to my head deputy thru one of my SWAT friends who works with him. I wanted him & the lady deputy to know how grateful I was. But I was worried if I mentioned it in an email thru their SO email that they might have an issue since that volunteer was just quietly removed and we did nothing official.

Had nightmares again last night. I just would like to know why it's always older guys who are much bigger then I am who think it's ok to be a bully & threatened me physically over crap that has nothing to do with them at this Welcome Home event.

Good Morning Spacelings!

Well, I had a very nice weekend - went over to the coast (Half Moon Bay) for a long and lazy weekend of hiking, hanging out, and just relaxing on a beautiful California spring weekend. I definitely needed it.

Starry - there is something about that type of personality, a learned behavior, and it always irritates me when I see it. I've intervened with total strangers more then once when I've seen it. We seem to live in a touchy world these days (though, it may have always been touchy).
