We had some sort of weird CSI thing happen here last night.
My landlords came out this morning to get the Sunday paper and there was blood all over their kitchen door, the area by their SUV and between their SUV and mine. We had all gone to bed around 11 pm and never heard anything after . the dog never barked, the cars didn't either. It looks like someone fell and the tried to go pound on their kitchen door for help. So they called PD and they were trying to see if the EMTs had any sort of call for anyone falling.

So we aren't sure what happened but there was a lot of cleaning with bleach water happening today

Yeah. I sleep closest to that door and didn't hear a thing. We got confirmation that the Fire Rescue got a call not far from us that was for a person who had a fall. It's just flipping creepy that no one (not even the dog) heard anything. I'm never a hard sleeper so I'd have heard something and gone back to sleep easily after checking it out. So no clue if they were just so drunk or what.

Completely concur on how much trauma a drunk can undergo with only minimal awareness at the time. If they'd been sober the trauma would have killed them. But then they also might have had better sense then to do the "hey y'all watch this" thing to begin with...

Yeah we think they were drunk enough to not realize they were at the wrong house and couldn't get in. Cause they didn't make enough noise for any of us to hear them.

Makes me glad I lock both doors especially at night.

I went out for a run the other morning, before dawn, and one of the neighbors was passed out on the stairs. It's a townhouse occupied by three young guys, so they tend to party pretty hard - I figure he just didn't make it back in or got locked out.

My new landlords think I am crazy cause I sleep really great when they are in the back yard breaking down a boat they are salvaging. They think they are too loud, but I know that they are there so I don't need to worry. The old place I lived I had to be aware of every noise. When the front of the house was empty it was to make sure no one broke in. When there were people living up there it was to make sure they were not breaking into my side of the house or my truck.

No not a rough neighborhood at all. We're just a couple of blocks from the art village. It's like living a couple of blocks off the main commercial strip in Key West. We get all kinds thru here. Tourists and the odd ball locals. Every now and then someone has a bender that gets out of hand.

Just a couple of blocks north of the beach. It's a hard life but someone has to live in Paradise.

Evening all what's doing? If you haven't done so yet and have been thinking about going to see the new Wonder Woman film then by all means do so it was excellent. I really don't care for superhero movies for the most part but this one was great.

Good to know. I'm not much of a movie girl but will mention it to a couple of friends who were asking about it. I end up getting so cold in the movie theater that I usually have to bundle up like it's winter or face falling asleep once I get too cold.

tomorrow evening I got invited to ride on the float for the little cemetery here that we've been working on to help get cleaned up & the veterans honored. Our parade is I the evening. I hope we are clear of rain. That was an unexpected invite and I'm glad to ride with them. After I'm gonna hang out with my landlady & work volunteer with the village for the pre-fireworks party stuff.
