Good Morning all,

Tally sent me a text this morning and in the words of Margaret Thatcher " we have become a Grandmother"

So yup we should celebrate.......
Celebrate that the GILF thread has it's newest hottest member.

Good Morning Everyone!!

I'm just opening the room up for the morning and getting rid of my stains that I left before Tal returns. She doesn't need to be cleaning my cum off the windows at the moment. :D

I hope everyone has or has had, a fabulous day!

Yep, I wasn't sure to say anything in case she wanted to announce it but I'm glad the little one has arrived. I won't even announce the details again, that feels like something to leave for the proud, but gorgeous grandmother.

I'm over the moon for her, her daughter and family. :)

I'll see if I can smuggle fireworks in through Customs.... ;)

Thank you, everyone! :D

It was a slog but we got there in the end! Daughter began contractions at 8am on Wednesday and they didn't stop until 11am on Thursday when my grandson was finally born! They are both doing great and are now home. He weighed in just shy of 9lbs, but he's long not chubby (we're a tall family), and has a nice covering of dark hair on his perfect lil head :D

Of course I'm the proudest granny ever.

He's adorable. I can already see he's going to be good looking - obviously , as he's related to you.

Big hugs and 's.

Fantabulouso! Great to hear after all the tribulations in the lead up, hope the sleep pattern settles down and you all really enjoy the little one. Suspect the kettle will be forever on and the biscuit tin frequently raised for all the visitors!!

Take care, thread is in good hands (not mine, I might add!) if you are absent doing grandmotherly thing xx

Sounds like a long slog for your daughter, but worth it all in the end.

ENJOY

I swear I'll stop posting about this soon haha, but for now...

It's going well mostly, but I could have smacked the midwife yesterday as she's worried my daughter that baby isn't feeding enough (though he's happy enough, sleeps well etc). So for the past 24 hours she's been getting anxious about it, and now considering stopping breast feeding. I'm hoping to take them to a breastfeeding group tomorrow morning where she can get better advice and actual support than just being made to worry!

And as for visitors, we put a strict no-drop-in policy in place. Our priority is getting baby and mother settled, not satisfying family and friends. Husband pissed off his mum when she tried to just turn up and come in yesterday. Too bad, she'd been warned!

I'm still not caught up with either RL or Lit messages, but I'll get there.:kiss:

Good morning Tal and all of the hangers on and deviants. :D What's new in the world today?

Things settling down and sleep getting caught up on with you Tal? :rose:

Congratulations Tal and family. :heart

Oh now I can smack midwives, they are very good with their jobs but not in giving confidence to new mums. Good amount of midwives haven't been mums!

When I gave birth to our daughter, (she was 6lb 7oz) she needed the bottle once and then continued with breast milk every few hour or so to put on weight.

Our son was 8lb 10oz and slept and slept. He didn't need as much milk because his weight was good enough to thrive in the new world. The bigger the baby the quicker they can sleep through the night and only need breast milk every four hours or so.

All the other babies where crying and wanting attention. I got the conversations of you need to wake him up to feed him. Bless, the babies go through soo much as well as the mums. They need to adjust to the world.

You need to wait for the body to adjust and breast milk will come. Keep drinking water and you will do well. Try to chill. I found that just before feeding, I needed to drink a glass of cold water and then I knew it!.

Hugs to your daughter and she is doing very well.
