It was a slog but we got there in the end! Daughter began contractions at 8am on Wednesday and they didn't stop until 11am on Thursday when my grandson was finally born! They are both doing great and are now home. He weighed in just shy of 9lbs, but he's long not chubby (we're a tall family), and has a nice covering of dark hair on his perfect lil head :D

Of course I'm the proudest granny ever. :cool:

Ahh that's a shame! It's been really warm and sunny here, the UK is getting some really nice weather recently. My weekend has mainly been okay thanks! I was due to attend a barbecue today but couldn't attend in the end because of my health so I've had a film binge. :D

I've just watched a few but they were a mixed bag. I saw John Wick 2 first which I enjoyed but not as much as the first.

I saw Jurassic World next which I thought was brilliant. I can't wait for the sequel that's out sometime soon.

I started watching Suicide Squad but I turned off after half an hour. I didn't rate it much and thought it was a waste of £7!

LOL thanks for the critique. Suicide Squad is something that did not strike my interest just from seeing the trailer.

Indeed! I'd thought I'd risk it given some reviews were good and it had Will Smith in, who I am a huge fan of. Unfortunately, like the saying goes... you can't polish a turd.

Suicide Squad was fun if you expected it to be awful and just wanted something mindless to watch. If you wanted a good film you weren't going to get it and
you needed to go into it expecting that. Margot Robbie was adorable and I had zero expectations for it other than it gave me something to watch for a couple hours when I had a cold. :)

I loved Jurassic World too. I would so go to a dinosaur petting zoo.

That's the thing, I even went into it expecting mindless action but it still felt forced and stale. Each to their own though!

I'm with you on Jurassic World. I'd visit... and probably get eat by a Velociraptor... which I've probably be spelt wrong. :D
 
I do love mindless films when I'm in the mood. The sort of thing you just stare at, then come out going "wha??"
