My lowest, sitting at a 4.1, is “Aphrodite.” It’s part of a cycle I return to from time to time featuring a group of friends and their lives (centering around a local bar) over a period of a few decades. It’s about a guy who goes on a “boys’ night out” with his friends after his girlfriend breaks up with him and is forced to confront the face that his younger, wilder days are behind him and he just might face a future of loneliness. It’s a story that is very close to my heart and one that I am very proud of but is probably too downbeat for most readers. Still, I’m happy with it.

My lowest score: "Over the Border" was a foray into Non-Con/Reluctance. I scored a 3.67, easily my lowest-scored story.

A female Mexican illegal immigrant sneaks into the U.S. and works at a hotel. There's elements of sexual assault but she never actually gets, you know, fucked against her will. I was setting up a more detailed world and the big criticism was there was only light groping and mild violence but no pay-off.

And that's rightly so. I think the story is really good but it doesn't fit that category. I probably could have gone with a different category and scored higher.

I have a 4.27 and a 4.28. Like others, my 750 word story Brief Encounter was scored low, though I put it in non-erotic but maybe it should have been romance. It's a cracking little story. My take on the 750s is that they're for authors entertainment and the readers don't grasp the idea.
The other is Under her Breath that I suspect is posted in the wrong section - it should be in romance not lesbian. Maybe a lesson learned there. It's a sweet story using my series characters and I can see that readers unfamiliar with the characters might find it tame.

I have two scoring stories neck and neck: scores are 3.78 and 3.79. These two drag my overall average of 38 stories down to 4.43. So, yes I have a basketful of red 'H' stories holding these 'dang' gaffs from an overall red 'H' rating. Are the scores valid? Probably, so! I put just as much creative love into these as I did the others. My fault though: I chose a less correct category for their postings.

It is about an older fellow's ride up and down a hot elevator with a young lady who drops her keys and bends over to pick them up in an un-ladylike manner. No ... no sex in this one, not even a touch. It was a brushstroke allegory on the missed opportunities in life. So, the score is proper for that category. I wrote it as an exercise in creating a 750-word story - though not written for any contest - just a try-it-out item on my bucket list of writings to create at least one story in each Lit category. Perhaps it would have been better posted in Non-erotic but I believe it was tinged with erotica so, I posted it in EC. I've done better stories in EC so certainly this didn't 'wet anyone's appetite.' Would I write it again? Yes, I plan to covert this into a full-length story, one of these days!

Viewed 23,128 times with just 38 votes, and scores a mere 3.79! I was sure it was a best seller! The teenager has made an unbreakable promise to her deceased mother to take on her mom's conjugal role with her father! Yeah, it's an incest theme and this focus is on a mildly described first-butt experience that she decides isn't her cup of tea. She does give it a second try just to be sure! But it's the same result and not highly descriptive. The other cunnilingus scenes are, however! It is heavy on girl-on-girl stuff and the father's role in this part is marginal. It's a teen's exploration of unexplored sexual congress. Would I write it again? Yes, this time I would pay more attention to the genre and aim to please the readers' predilections rather than the character's - make her a lot more receptive - just in case Daddy wanted it after all!

I would not change the story as its a true recount of what happened and it was therapeutic to write.

A true story is the kiss of death here. These assholes want pure bullshit no matter how stupid it is. I have read some of these idiotic high scoring stories and gave them the 1’s they so richly deserved!

My three Loving Wives stories all rated poorly, which I expected. But the scoring was somewhat interesting.

The first one I posted - 'Sister In Law Surveillance' - got lots of negative comments and poor scores (3.10 at the moment), but I've seen way more vicious comments than those this work received.

The story 'Forbidden Fun With the Mormons' didn't get too many comments, and those that did comment were mainly negative. However the score of 3.90 is quite high for this category.

The last one I posted to date 'Cheating On a Cheating Wife' was about a creepy cuckold husband treated like crap by his wife plus was top of the list the day it was posted, so it attracted a lot of negative comments some very angry. But despite them hating it so much, its score of 3.30 is still better than the sister-in-law one which they didn't seem to hate as much. It's all a bit strange.

My lowest rated story is the first one I posted here "The Graduates." Over fourteen months it's clawed its way up to 3.99 based on about a thousand votes. It's the shortest by far, the only short porn fiction I've written (and finished) in fact, at around five thousand words. It was heavily inspired by those Penthouse Forum collections, and revolves around a drunk angry guy whose wife cuckolds him with their son and a bunch of his friends at a beach party.

It also picked up more user comments than any other, most of them very negative and several vituperative. I posted it in "Incest/Taboo." If I'd known what "Loving Wives" was and had posted it there, I'm confident that it would be sitting at -3.

It's also near the end of the posted episodes of the series when many of the original fans had moved on, so it didn't get the boost the earlier ones had from those super-fans. The description ( while perfectly obvious to regular readers who understand the premise of the series ) undoubtedly hurts it with casual observers... "Diving headlong into a sweaty summer stinker"

My lowest rated piece is actually one of my favourites. It was a hell of a lot of fun to write. It also deserves an even lower score than it has.

I lack the skill to fit the writing style I was going for.

On All Fours tries to fit the rhyming cadence of Banjo Paterson, and Henry Lawson, but mostly just comes across as a drag. Even at barely eight hundred and something words, it's just painfully long and lacks in almost every single regard.

Still a favourite.

I have another one in the works about a guy who spies on three young European women in their private moments in an Australian national park which will go in Fetish, and then I might write a Loving Wives story I have had worked out in my head for some time. At least there I know they're going to love to hate it.

I got one bombed because I didn't "burn the bitch!" or let the husband get revenge. It is actually a well-constructed story and quite sexy. That makes no difference to the troglodytes and incels that hang around "Loving Wives" I can handle the criticism. No less than Pulitzer Prize winner Dave Maranis has told me that I am a great writer so I don't feel the sting from frustrated needle-dicks. Still, unless it absolutely won't fit in any other category, I steer clear of placing stories in "Loving Wives."
I do have stories I'm embarrassed by but won't take down on principle, but ALL of those are somehow rated higher.

My lowest rated story is a 750 worder I put in LW at 3.5. Lol, so not a surprise. I've gotten a lot of great comments on it though and it sparked an interesting conversation with a new reporter once, so it's all good.

Next up is the first story I ever published on Lit which is a gang-rape story at 3.83. It's the second in a sci-fi mini series but because I had no idea what I was doing it went up first in the non-con category as a stand alone. To be honest, though, I would expect it to score low regardless of how it was posted. I have complicated feelings about the story, the characters have complicated feelings about it, things end up in a probably unsatisfying manner. Oh well though, I wouldn't, and am not going to, change it.

Another 750 worder is next - a political satire with a veneer of sex. Not surprised at the low score at 4.09.

The fourth lowest score does surprise me though, a bit. It's a fantasy story with adventure, magic, and a love triangle. It got terribly one-bombed the first day it came out and I think not many people wanted to invest in reading a 30k word story with a low rating, currently 4.13. Oh well. *shrugs*

My lowest rated story still did well and ended up about where I expected, 4.24. It was a introduction story for a series about a not so well known kink, cuckqueaning. The series did very well overall, with the other three reaching the elusive "H" status for a while before two of them settled to where I expected them to be.

Fun question! My lowest rated story (by far!) is "Oz Beach Boy Pegged By Cougar", which was an instalment in a four-part series in which my recurring male exhibitionist character is blackmailed into being a sex slave for a night by a deranged French schoolteacher. It's got a score of 3.69, while all my other stories are over 4.0. This four-part non-con series is a lot "rougher" than my other stories, and the response seemed very divided. Though some enjoyed it (one reader encouraged me to have my recurring character castrated!), I feel that I might have turned off (and perhaps lost) some regular readers with the unpleasant activity. The series was long planned and built towards, so I don't regret writing it, but the low score (even though it's not too bad) admittedly still disappoints me. I got nice comments about some previous moments of ball-busting and the like, so I thought this series would have been far better received. I probably wouldn't return to a story this "rough", partly because of the negative response, but also because I feel like I've got it out of my system now. I am still happy with the four-part series, even though all the entries have scored lower than my other stuff.

My lowest rated story definitely deserves its place. I've written less than 10 stories here, so we aren't working with a huge sample size, but this one stands out to me in retrospect for a couple reasons. It is also my most recent and one of, if not my shortest submission, for whatever that is worth.

It is my only story written explicitly to submit for for one of the Contests (April Fools Day). I saw the notice for the contest, and had half an idea come to mind. It went from vague concept to submitted story in less than 24 hours. Everything else I have submitted has spent weeks to months being written, re-written, edited, deleted and re-worked.

I should have fleshed the characters out a bit more I suppose, and could definitely have gotten into a bit more detailed overall. It also has a blow job scene that is kind of awkward and thrust in the middle for seemingly no apparent reason - I was writing and the story took a small detour. I could never figure out how to steer it back properly, but left it as is because there isn't a lot of actual sex in it and I thought taking it out would hurt the appeal.

All of this I can see NOW, but in the moment, I was happy with the resulting piece. I think the premise was solid enough that if I had the time and energy, I could probably do a much better job, but I'm leaving it as is.

It is kind of light-hearted and short. It doesn't feature a lot of sex scenes, and like all I/T, it takes a little bit of suspension of disbelief to read.
