Here is one for the morning.

Not long ago and far away, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip...but there were problems everywhere. Four of his elves got sick and the trainee elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular ones so Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule.

Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her Mom was coming to visit. This
stressed Santa even more. When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out;
heaven knows where! to... More Stress!

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the boards cracked and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys. Totally frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of coffee and a shot of whiskey. When he went to the cupboard, he found the elves had hit the liquor and there was nothing to drink.

In his frustration, he dropped the coffee pot and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw it was made from. Just then the doorbell rang and Santa cussed on his way to the door.He opened the door and there was a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.

The angel said: "Where would you like to put this tree, fat man?"

And that my friend is how the little angel came to be on top of the
Christmas tree

Pudding, good to see you back.

Mary, I hope this finds you feeling better.

Hello to all the rest and now it is off here with me.

The Supreme Court has ruled, that there cannot be a
Nativity Play in the Washington DC area, this
Christmas season.

This isn't for any religious reason, they simply have
not been able to find three wise men and a virgin in
the Nation's capitol.

There was no problem, however, finding enough asses to
fill the stable!

This morning I heard a story on the radio of a woman who was out Christmas
> shopping with her two children; after many hours of looking at row after
> row of toys and everything else imaginable, and after hours of hearing
> both her children asking for everything they saw on those many shelves,
> she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids.
> She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time
> of the year---overwhelming pressure to go to every party, every
> housewarming, taste all the holiday food and treats, get that perfect gift
> for every single person on our shopping list, make sure we don't forget
> anyone on our card list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to
> everyone who sent us a card.
> Finally the elevator doors opened and there was already a crowd in the
> car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids in with her
> and all the bags of stuff. When the doors closed sh e couldn't take it
> anymore and stated, "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be
> found, strung up and shot."
> From the back of the car everyone heard a quiet, calm voice respond,
> "Don't
> worry. We already crucified him."
> For the rest of the trip down the elevator it was so quiet you could
> have heard a pin drop.
>
> Don't forget this year to keep the One who started this whole

My birthday was yesterday...Nov 30 th.....I turned 36 ......:)

Here is one that I got from a friend. I hope you are all having a good evening.

Listen to this everyone!!!! Ideas!

With the average cost for a Nursing Home reaching $188.00 PER DAY, there is a better way for us to go when we get old and feeble. I have ascertained that I can get a nice room at the Holiday Inn for around $65.00/day... that leaves $123.00/day that I can spend on beer, food (room service), laundry, gratuities and special TV movies. They have a swimming pool, a workout room, a lounge, washer, dryer, etc. Most have free toothpaste and razors, and all have free shampoo and soap. Super 8 is somewhat more economical -- and they have a free breakfast, though you usually have to walk next door for lunch and dinner. There may be a bit of a wait to get that first floor room, but that's OK -- it takes months to get into decent nursing homes. Also at most motels, there is the Senior Bus, the Handicap bus (if you fake a decent limp), a Church bus or van, cabs, and even a regular bus. For a change of lunch, take the Airport Bus and eat at one of the fast food cafes there. Spend some of that leftover money. The Inn has security, and if someone sees you drop over, they'll call an ambulance. And should you break a hip........(all together now, ".."L-a-w-s-u-i-t" ) What more can you ask for? As a bonus, they all have AARP and other Senior discounts. So: When I reach the Golden age help me keep my grin Just check my old rickety ass into the nearest Holiday Inn!

Mary, I have seen this, and am glad you posted it so I could read it again. I especially like this part:

Then The Soldier Rolled Over,
With A Voice Soft And Pure,
Whispered, "Carry On Santa,
It's Christmas Day, All Is Secure."

Thanks again *hugs*
