Good to see you back Puddin and good to know that you have had a good weekend. We all deserve it.

Is it just me or is everyone about tired of the whole Christmas thing?

Hello to everyone.........hope everyone is good. Sorry that I haven't been around much lately, but my weekend was so busy. I barely had time to sleep it seems, but it was a very fun weekend as well.

I loved all the postings, I just sat here for about an hour getting all caught up on everything I missed. So many great chuckles and so many things to think about after reading them all.

WISHING ALL OF YOU THE HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS. MAY EVERYONE BE SAFE AND MERRY!!

Hugs to all...........Puddin
((((((((((((((puddin))))))))))))))))))))))) Hello....I am glad that you had a good weekend.......And I know what you mean about being so busy.....I am so glad that Christmas is about her....I have been driving myself mad with it......:(

MaryBears, you take care of yourself and don't end up making yourself sick over Christmas. I have a friend that is so stressed I am afraid that she isn't going to make it to Christmas day without giving herself a heart attack.

Thanks Missing.....Not really stressed here....Just extremely tired.....I have been baking for two weeks.....I started making coloring books (presents for the young ones) and christmas cards in October....so I have been just at it to long.....:(

I have to ice the sugar cookies, make an applebutter cake, fruit salad and Possibly Potatoe salad before christmas and I will be done with the exception of wrapping one gift. Yippeee I am happy that is all behind me...;)

Mary, about that apple butter cake. Is it the one that has many thin layers with applebutter between each layer?

No this is one you mix it all up and put it in a bunt pan and bake it.....It is so very delicious....My daddy (i am a daddy's girl) loves it....so i have to make it for him;)

My grandmother used to make one that was many thin layers and it had applebutter between the layers. It was so good. But noone has a recipe for it and I can't find one online either.

the cake sounds wonderful. Between fatigue, funerals, exes, losing car (temporarily I- hope, just feet dragging), family, financial and emotional stress and other things,,, I have not been able to get Christmas Shopping done- hated to ask for help driving around this weekend and maybe I should have... lost 2-3 weeks when I could get stuff done... nuttin fancy... but still...depressing. And I can't kill one of the people causing half my mess.

*sigh* Sorry for rant... just tired and stressed. Guess I need a hug LOL

Soooooooo. thanks for all the jokes and Cheer!!!!

I too am glad that Christmas is almost here. I didn't get all my baking and candy made, but oh well.....I did make the effort. I pretty much have everything done except wrapping gifts, but we are doing that tomorrow. Hope that you are feeling better and that your mood has improved.

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law,
and four-year old grandson. The old man's hands trembled,
his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family
ate together at the table.

But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight
made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the
floor. When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the
tablecloth.

The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess.
"We must do something about Grandfather," said the son.
I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food
on the floor.

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.
There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family
enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two,
his food was served in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction, sometime
he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only
words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he
dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old watched
it all in silence.

One evening before supper, the father noticed his son
playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child
sweetly, "What are you making?" Just as sweetly, the boy
responded, "Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama
to eat your food in when I grow up." The four-year-old
smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents so that they were
speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks.
Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently
led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his
days he ate every meal with the family. And for some
reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer
when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth
soiled.

On a positive note, I've learned that, no matter what
happens how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will
be better tomorrow

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the
way he/she handles three things: a rainy day, lost luggage,
and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I've learned that, regardless of your relationship with your
parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as
making a "life."

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a
catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw
something back.

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude
you. But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the
needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can,
happiness will find you.

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open
heart, I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be
one.

I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch
someone. People love that human touch -- holding hands, a
warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

I've learned that you should pass this on to everyone you
care about; I just did.

Hope everyone enjoyed this. Hugs to all...........Puddin

ABC's to live by

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

"I AM Too blessed to be stressed!" The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.
The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.

PS: GOD LOVES YOU...PASS THE WORD ON TO MORE

It does help... I have kept my faith and got good news today!!!! It won't be kept or forfeited cause of what ex did. And is drivable (I think!). I get my car back in the morning.... the ex has more to deal with and deserves it! But *I* got good news and a WEIGHT off my back!!!!!!! *dancing around*

I am cramming for holiday but everyone knows what I have been through and we are concentrating on *family*not gifts and decorations. Just goodwill. I am blessed that since latest crisis, the Lord has been watching and opening doors to help me get through..

Thank you so much for saying what you did. Must remember what I was told once, is God does not give us more than we can handle~ what we can handle with his help, that is. Really opened my eyes. My faith has been renewed through all this. He came through and it will be okay and I am grateful to all my friends online and off!

*HUGGGLES*
