Not that I am familiar with this exact lifestyle (unfortunately), but being a seasonal RVer I have heard that if there are Pink Flamingos in the RV lot outside of the RV, they are an international sign that the couple (that owns the RV) are into the swinger lifestyle. I have heard nothing about the pineapples. I'll have to do more investigating into the pineapple outside of RVs.

In California at least the answer to the pineapple question is "Yes".

Traditionally the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality (out of the pacific islander cultures). It basically means "strangers welcome to stop in and say hello" and has over time, been morphed into a swinger couple being open to meet new people.

It's a subculture (swingers) thing, so be aware that sometimes it's just a pineapple and approach gently. You'll also see pineapple jewelry used for the same reason.

(I've also seen it used to denote a place of prostitution, but the use is the same - hospitality.)

Should you decide to give it a try (I'd recommend renting before buying - if you buy an RV it becomes a lifestyle) then head down to the Palm Springs/Desert Springs area of California in season (pretty much early spring/early winter).

It's pretty famous in CA swinger circles for it's high percentage of "swingers on vacation" from Southern California. The RV swingers community is pretty tight knit in a friendly way and shared gatherings at certain RV campsites are pretty common. It's a good place to get introduced to the community.

RV's are considered a plus for them - it elevates the need to find a swinger friendly motel and let's them conduct their pleasures of swinging fairly discretely.
