I've walked in on more swingers/swapping parties than I can count while trying to hand out dinner and players comps to get VIPs to come downstairs to gamble.

It hasn't worked once yet either!

Lol I think the first thing we do when getting to a hotel is put out the do not disturb sign.

Now you all can understand why I differ to her judgement. She not only has lots of experience throwing these types of private get togethers, she can basically wrap any guy on the planet (including my husband) around in little finger in 15 seconds or less.

(it takes me a hell of a lot longer and even then I only have about a 30% success rate)

Somehow I don't believe your numbers. I think your success rate is considerably higher and your finger wrapping would be in the 10 second range.

This is an awesome thread. I'm glad I found it. I've had 3somes both MFM and FFM. A girlfriend of mine and I have been talking about both and now planning on makong both happen. Marriages obviously get even more complex once you start to swap. But friendships, even long friendships, can often be put to the test too once you start to swap partners.

That's why open, honest communication is so important both before and after each event.

It's crazy how that works. The same thing happened to us. Once we decided we were open to the possibility, possibilities started popping up all over the place.

Friends we thought we already knew really, really well surprised us the most.

I guess many of the possibilities were always there, we just never picked up on them before. Our friends that we had known for years who turned out to be swingers had apparently dropped "several" hints over the years and had given up on us ever picking up on them. Fortunately we had sort of become their own private inside joke and one day I heard them say something to each other and I got brave enough to ask "Are you guys swingers?"

It's like positive thinking or manifest destiny on Viagra I guess!

Both parties had to be postponed because some of us had to cover extra shifts at work because we were understaffed for a little bit. Plus, the guest list was getting complicated because too many people knew about it and the host and hostess didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Hopefully I'll have a new update soon though.

Hmm, idk. Is this an organized event of strangers or an existing club that you've been invited to join?

I guess the only advice I would offer is the same advice I would give to anyone, including a woman in a similar circumstance:

- be 100% open and honest about your hopes and fears with your S.O. or whoever you are taking or going with to this party,

- keep your expectations low so that you can be pleasantly surprised,

- don't agree to anything you aren't comfortable doing even if you feel like you're being judged or peer pressure is overwhelming you,

- and last but not least, LEAVE when YOU want to.

I have previously posted here that we have never been to a swing club or house party but that is changing next month - we’re going to an on-premise club in the nearby city. We have no particular expectations but the anticipation alone is worth the trip.

I bet it is! I have to confess, I'm a little jellie! I wish hub's and I were invited to a party like that in a city other than the one where we live.
