How about recouperating? With the increasing number of years that I am accumulating, it has come to my awareness that happyness and health are largely a state of mind. You can be very sore, and yet look beyond or into some inner strength to feel normal for a while. Our bodies are a frail carrier of our spirit--and may our spirits be strong, happy and radiate health.

Hmmmm .. perhaps too much philosophy for early on a monday.

What do you do when you get out? Do you have a sport or hobby? I read this morning that americans are not only obese, but getting larger. Part of that is that we don't get out and do anything..no time..to much work etc.

I walk the beaches/trails here and take pictures of them. Photography is a huge hobby/relaxation for me. I interact with so much of the public on a daily basis on my day off I tend to become a hermit As for excercise..I walk roughly 3.5 miles a day at my job. Not overweight..but I do tend to think americans are getting bigger for the lack of no time to do anything after work/days off.

Its a beautiful place you live in for photography. Good luck at it. Have you gone digital?

I bought my first digital camera about a year ago and I wouldn't go back to regular camera for anything in the world. My camera keeps me sane, I can have all the troubles thoughts in the world on my mind and one perectly taken picture wipes them away ..at least for a little while

Good morning Iara and jdu, I see you two have been chatting; that's nice. Iara, did I overlook what you do for work? I saw that you're on your feet, but I don't think you said what it is you do. And those of you who can get out and about, NEVER take it for granted!!! I would love to get out and breathe in the cool air, maybe smell someone's fireplace going; my nose getting red and cold as I'm walking. Hmm be grateful for what you have and can do. As for me....

Thanks honey. It certainly has been a while since we've heard from you. I hope that all is well. It sure is freezing, I'm using my space heater already. I hate turning on the heat, it's so dry, and why heat the whole house if I'm only using one room. I forgot I had this lil heater, it's perfect. Although, now I'm realizing that, although I don't pay for gas, which is what my heat is, I do pay for electric, so am I shooting myself in the foot, or what??

well you have to make yourself warm whether it be eletric/gas or the free solution (skin on skin)..... I hate dry heat.... I always have electric shocks going thru me..... How is the knee doing? up and about yet? Hope all is well and I will try to check back soon!

But it would make more sense for me to turn the heat on, since it's free. But I just hate doing that. I'm going to stick to the space heater for as long as I can.
The knee is doing surprisingly well. The surgeon and physical therapists are even amazed at how it's doing. Of course, now my back is messed up because I'm walking differently. There's no winning with my body!!

Hello Ms..I didn't post my occupation but since someone asked. I am a pharmacy technician. I get to deal with grouchy, I don't feel well ,why isn't my medication ready yet people all day. But that one person who waits patiently and smiles ..says thank you makes it worthwhile.

Iara, no, I don't have someone with me. My sister runs errands for me when she can; groceries, prescriptions, etc. But aside from you all, I'm alone all day and night. I'm online for about 12 hours a day. I'm telling you, this computer was the best investment I've ever made! I haven't been reading, which bothers me because I wanted to, just don't feel like it now. I watch a little tv, but I spend most of the day right here online. Oh, and btw, I was a pharmacy technician too, but that was before the title "pharmacy technician" existed.
