The "other" New England thread where people are nice and everyone is welcome!!

Did I like it? It was a job. I did kinda like it. It was in a town where everyone knew everyone, so I was always chatting with someone.
Well, if you ever feel like going for a drive, I'm always here, and you're always welcome. :)

*see pm*

;)

Thats about how I feel about it..it pays the bills and we gotta eat so I keep doing it untill something better comes along. Have a great day Ms..I'll be around after 5 :rose:

Good morning,

Just popping in. Two pharm techs in one thread. Hmm coincidence or fate?

OK.. our goal is to give MsT something to think about.

How about telling us something about what you liked to do before you were layed up. Have you travelled? I love going to the UK. Good beer.

Thank you jdu, it is excellent getting to spend time with the wife and the kids again. Really made me appreciate what I had .

Chewey

Always wonderful to hear someone say that. I think that once you have kids, your whole outlook tends to change

Sweetheart, it's been so long since I've been able to do anything. I was in Israel in Feb 2001, and was planning on going back this past summer, but all of 2002 is reserved for surgery and recovery. I loved to garden, run around with my nieces and nephews, go for long walks....................
Hey, this is depressing me!!!! ;)

It will come back. Good think you got to isael early last year. Things haven't gotten much better. What caused you to have surgery? Cartilage damage? Accident? I'm thinking about surgery for my knee but am putting it off as long as possible!

I would go back to Israel tomorrow if I could. Those of us who have been there will tell you that if you're going to wait for there to be peace, you'll never get there. Oh, and btw, there was a bus bombing in the village that I was in when I was there, so it may not be better, but depending on luck, it may not be worse either. I'm sure you heard about the bus bombing a week and a half ago. I have a cousin who was on that bus. We knew that sooner or later it would hit home. He was sitting in the second row and the bomb went off as soon as the *&%$# got on the bus. Miraculously, my cousin was able to dive out the window and came out of it with only cuts and bruises.

As for my health, it won't come back. I'll have windows of time when I feel somewhat ok, but I'll never be "well." My knee surgeries were due to genetics. The bones in my legs are deformed (thankfully not visible) and my quads have never developed. So I've been dealing with this my whole life, although even if they had diagnosed it properly when I was a kid, they wouldn't have known back then wtf to do about it.

Ok, enough blabbing for now. ;)

oops..hit the reply button by mistake..

Thanks for the candid info. You have obviously been through a lot. We did hear about the recent bus attack. The place seems to be getting more tense again. Too bad.

One of the nice things about being in the NE.

Umm jdu, was there supposed to be a comment after that quote??
Hello, my NE friends, I hope you're all well. TGIF I hope it's a good one, the weekend is right around the corner!!!

hehe you were one step ahead of me. :p

Granted, it's nice to be in NE, but for those of us who have been to Israel and love it, every bombing stings, regardless where we are. Even moreso for those of us who have family there. It's funny, Israel becomes a part of you once you've been there.

I have heard a lot of good things about israel. I almost made it this year, but the meeting I was going to was cancelled because of the hostilities.

Some day. In the mean time. A long weekend for me. I took today off for fun and relaxation.

Good for you, I hope you have a great weekend.
Back to the Israel topic. If and when you do go, make sure you go with a group, (assuming you don't have family there). You MUST travel around with a tour guide. They know where is safe(er) and where to avoid. I was lucky enough to have a private tour guide take me through the old city. It was a great experience even though there were parts of the city that we had to avoid. You learn so much by going with a tour guide or group. And, the tour guides are in big trouble because noone is going to Israel now, they have no work. It's really a shame. However, NOONE should be traveling around Israel alone or without a guide or group. You may as well shoot yourself in the head. If you couldn't tell, I could go on and on about this forever. I will force myself to stop now, so I don't drive you all crazy. ;)

Mornin All It's a cold wet mornin here, typical New England weather huh?

Good Morning New England.....Hope you are all enjoying this soggy wet morning.

Wet and stormy falls makes for plenty of summer babies.

Good Morning New England!!!

Yes indeed, it sure is soggy out there. And my body aches from every single raindrop.

What a great day to get the fireplace going!!

If you go out, please drive carefully. You never know what the other drivers have up their sleeves. I was bumped yesterday, it was so ridiculous. No damage, just aggravated my owies.

Have a good one!!!!!

I would tend to agree with that. I have three kids so its very hectic, but I know how I felt when I was not a part of their everyday lives for a while. I can not even remember what the heck I was doing with all the free time I must have had before kids. (Probably working on making them. hehehe )

Hello New England People. It really sucks that this weekend is going to be a washout. We were planning on taking the kids for a ride on the Mohawk trail and check out the foliage. But with the rain and how bad the wipers have been working, we did not want to take the chance. Sigh..... tough for both of us to get a weekend off together.

Hi Chewey! Well Chewey, make the most of the wet weekend. Grab some movies, a few board games, and enjoy some good family time together. Lord knows you deserve it!!!!!

Hello everyone else!! Have a good night!

Hello hon ,

We have watched Shrek, Monsters Inc and the Barney movie (the babies choice lol) I am thinking of saving the board games for tommorrow. There is nothing like stretching out on the couch and having yourself surrounded by the love of your kids. One was sitting next to me and two were sitting on me. lol

Chewey

Oh Chewey, I couldn't be more happy for you. Sounds like everyone is just where they belong. You have a good night, and give them an extra lil squeeze for me. ;)

That I will hon. It is amazing to think that I has so much time away from them and did not lose my mind. I miss having more free time, but I would rather be with my family any day.
