The Retaking of Aine OOC

Jedi, everything's fine. I've taken care of it. Believe me - it wouldn't have even gone up on the OOC without my approval.

Like I said, Sage, just go ahead and post an entry. But I forgot to mention that Angelus's and Satindesire's characters are no longer with us, so don't go meeting them or anything.

Welcome to the thread, Sage.

That whole bit about breaking the monotany had me a little riled up. Add that to the fact that he just suddenly shows up with a bio without having expressed an interest in the thread to the public, and things get a little suspicious.

But I still want to know how his character acquired immunity to dizziness. If it was acquired how I think it was acquired, he's not completely immune.

*shrug* well, I didn't have a problem with it. After all, he's a mage. But you'll just have to wait for him to answer your question.

LOL, you probably just missed me :D

Anyway... hopefully we'll get things moving along in a bit. I know that Ren is away doing stuff at the moment, so tis all good. Hows the post coming along?

After I destroyed the work I had while performing a backup(?) of my data I was forced to rewrite the thing from scratch, working off the general idea I have in my mind. But to who it may concern, it´s getting better written and appealing to myself.

And what´s the thing with the new face? Another magic wielder to get on Nayil´s skin?

By the way, I realized I never discussed this publicly, WS, but Nayil has more equipment than it has been shown in my post; I´ve been giving out hints but no one has ever questioned it here.

And why should we question what equipment Nayil has? I figure that Nayil is carrying the usual fare for someone who is traveling, such as blankets, knife, a backpack, etc., along with any weapons he might be carrying. If any of that stuff was important, you'd mention it. If it wasn't immediately important, you'd get around to mentioning it.

And yeah, we apparently have a new magic user. Human too. Claims to be immune to dizziness. I would think that he's immune to chemically induced dizziness, from all that volcano smoke and whatnot. If that is indeed the case, he wouldn't be immune to dizziness induced by a different method, mainly sound.

Hello, Jedi.

I thought that you would defend your cause based on that argument; must admit I agree with you. Its one thing to acquire resistance to chemicals; one can not overcome biological shortenings like, I say, inner ear balance...:D One can learn to resist and work under confusing situations but... Lets give time for things to happen.

I remembered that I did not mentioned all equipment carried by Nayil because I thought it would be obvious that his bracers and necklace would stand out to someone´s attention; they have a few unique properties that will be displayed in my next post.

And how about the Elf? When will the pointed eared one be showing himself again?
I´m eager to see the athalan and the elf come face to face again. And both standing.

Well, the elf is currently one with the shadows in a corner of the queen's war tent, eavesdropping on the conversation (not that much has been said yet). But things are going to get interesting once the right moment shows itself. The elf has a horrible headache, mostly from that wack on the head, and also he's physically and mentally exhausted. He hasn't slept for days, that time after getting attacked by a branch not counting, and he also hasn't eaten for days. You could say that he is only functioning like he is on sheer will power. And soon, that will power is going to end; he's going to pass out right there in the queen's war tent and in a not-so-subtle manner. ;)

Careful to not get him stabbed in the back by that shadowy ranger!:)

But I hope you´re not counting on Nayil to pick him up from the ground again. Then again, he has that beautiful sorceress in the tent with him, so my worries are nonsense.;)

is he going to fall on the queen? because you know, that would be hilarious lol :)

I could have him fall over any number of things. Like that huge house cat that Karesh has following her around, or over a table, causing it to break under the impact. Or I could have him fall at the queen's feet, or on her, although I think she would probably slit his throat as a reflex.

I don't know what he's going to fall onto or into, but whatever it is, it's going to be noticeable.

Considering the queen is no more than a spoiled brat and that the two single most experienced creatures in the village will be the Elf and Nayil (I think they are the oldest creatures in the RP), it would be dumb for the queen to start stepping on everybody´s toes: those Cernus priest look pretty much pissed off at the girl and those orcs are smart enough to pull the rug under her feet.

With a disbanded army, few helping hands, a handful of man-at-arms, a couple of ranger and only a few villagers to fight, that project of a queen needs all the help she can get and then some.

The elf is going to keep his eye on that particular ranger. He didn't give off a pleasant vibe to the elf, and the elf dislikes anyone who gives off an unpleasan vibe, especially if they happen to call themselves "Rangers" or "Hunters."

And yes, the queen is going to need a lot of help. Of course, once she learns that the elf happens to be one of the rare and elusive Mori Hunters, she's probably going to see him more as an assest to be exploitated rather than as an ally.

I would assume that as well. The giant will probably be turned into an oddity, too. But he has his own agenda. And he still wants to have a chat with the elf. Get to know him.

Get to know him? You wouldn't be the first to want to get to know the elf. Heck, even the elf would like to get to know himself. Amnesia, remember? He remembers nothing of his personal life nor his personal identity. He remembers everything on a general level, such as him being a Mori Hunter, all the skills of a Mori Hunter, etc. He also remembers the Talarines rampaging through his home village, but nothing more about that particular event.

all the better, Jedi.

I bid you to go to bed, my friend. Its probably very late over there.

Quarter to five in the morning. It is indeed late, and I'm most likely going to be working my ass off almost all day long. Damn final exams, especially this bloody Anthropology exam.

So, with that happy thought in mind, I bid you good night, Q. See you another day, maybe even tomorrow.

Hey come on guys, ease up on the new guy, alright? He's waited a long time to be in this thread and I don't want you two scaring him off.

The dizziness thing is moot point - its so small I didn't really worry about it. So trust my judgement on this, okay? Its not like he's gonna suddenly go deaf in one ear and lose his equilibrium and then single handedly save the world.

Sage: If you wish to explain yourself and answer Jedi's question, go ahead.

Hey, WS. How are you?

As I stated, lets give time to see where things will be going. The thread truly needs fresh blood. am I being that much of a nag?

No you just jumped on the bandwagon, so I got to yell at both of you.

I like yelling :D

All in all, I'm good. Waiting for some others to post - that's why things aren't going anywhere right now. But pretty good.

Its almost scary to see so much cheer in you.
Care to give any hints about is going to happen in the thread next?

Well, we have to get a battle plan together. For that we need for all of our allies (well, the ones with us right now) to have an input. There are some nefarious deeds to be done with Rorik and Lisika has some growing up to do.

The crone will be back soonish - along with some other characters I planned to introduce a while back.

But, its late and I've got to go. Night.
