I'm not sure what way you meant this thread but I will say that I can agree with the thought that there are some threads that are often mindless ... and I'd prefer to see more posts in the interactive vein.

Mind you ... I like games! Some game threads are better than others in creating interaction between people ... others seem to be more of a vehicle simply for upping a post count (and I must plead guilty myself ).

I saw your post that your PM box was empty so I put something in it. Then I decided to see what you have done on the threads. I joined to talk to people and enjoy postings and PMs. I am new to bulletin boards so I get lost in the games that people are playing. I am still trying to find out what other posters want. I have started several threads without much response. I gave up on posting what I felt and then posted one about wanting sex because that seemed a prime interest. I was mostly ridiculed. I have seen many posts by people that I would like to get to know, only to see them getting catty and bitchy on other threads. We're anonymous here so we can open up with other people with similar interests. I am ready to chat and share. Anybody else ready?

I have been guilty of that myself.

Most of the times when I join in the games it is because I don't want to interact. I have nothing worthwhile to say so I post to something that doesn't require thought beyond what the game may be.

I am still trying to find out what other posters want.

All of the posters are fairly individual in their interests and tastes in threads. Just focus on what you want and enjoy - as people get to know you more they will respond more to threads that you start. I wouldn't take it personally. It can take awhile to really find a niche here. I have been around awhile and have yet to really get to know others (entirely my own doing as I have very limited time restraints).

Well my my Brother does most of the fixing otherwise,but then I end up Babysitting his Kids so many times and start wondering if it isnt better to pay some one to do the fixing ~~~ Ling

Hmm. Okay, perhaps I want to be the person that owns the company that contracts these techs out. Okay, not really - I don't want that much responsibility.

Tough call at times - pay somewhere or babysit for free. Once they are walking and can pretty much fend for themselves I don't mind babysitting. It is when they are still babies or toddlers that it would be a dilema. They are sweet at that stage - but a lot of work!

Okay, here's one for you. My son was 14 and he got a job at church playing for the children's choir. He played for about 5 minutes every Sunday and did a rehearsal once a month on Saturday. For this he was paid $25 a week. That's about 80 minutes of work for $100. Then the church asked him to play one hymn each Sunday for the adult sunday school - $15 a week, for one slow hymn. It took all of 5 minutes...if that.....so here he is making $160 a month for 100 minutes of work.

There was no practicing involved in this.......... lucky wasn't he?
