I suspect that eventually, America will have the following parties, more or less.

1. The Federalist/Centrist/Mainstream, whatever party, composed of establishment GOP and Dems, no longer bound by partisanship to even pretend to hate or oppose each other. DNC/RNC/Goldman Sachs/George Soros/Bill Gates, etc. Backing Hillary and Kasich these days, what with Rubio gone.
2. Fundamentalist/Fascist/Far Right, Fortress America party....fascist, religious, homophobic racists who want to turn back the clock and take us into a new dark age. A mix of Tea Party and Trumpites. Nasty motherfuckers. Currently split between Trump and Cruz.
3. Reform/Progressive, moderate left, "democratic socialist" party....yeah, fellow Bernie supporters. These just want a new vision for social, economic, and political reform to break up the oligarchy and give American capitalism a human face.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday showed that in the national GOP horse race Trump led 43 percent, then Ted Cruz at 29 percent, and John Kasich with 16 percent. Thus, in order for Cruz to catch up with Trump, he would need virtually all of Kasich’s supporters to flow to him.

Here’s why the GOP can’t stop Trump

The GOP as a party has been cheating much longer than has Tromp. They have man-millennia of organizational experience in manipulating processes and outcomes. Tromp is not in the same league.

Big question is, will the party, a private business incorporated in Delaware, cut a deal with Tromp to maintain relevance and influence? Considering Tromp's business expertise or lack thereof -- he's underperformed the stock market -- such a deal will likely have unintended consequences.

I've cited a Ron Paul 2012 advisor saying what's critical at convention isn't a candidate's *count* of delegates but *who* they are. Are *your* delegates actually your fans or are they ringers slipped in by the county committee? Did the county committee quietly change delegate rules, change the locations of meetings where delegates are named, 'mistakenly' direct supporters to the wrong place or send their bus in the wrong direction? That all happened to Ron Paul. And with the DNC's pro-Hillary tilt, it's happening to Sanders.

Thousands want GOP to let angry voters bring guns to Republican convention in case of ISIS attack

Thousands of Rethuglicans and thousands of guns, mix with a 'brokered convention' and see if a love fest breaks out?

Having weapons at a hotly contested and potentially violent political event may sound like the mother of all bad ideas, but that hasn’t stopped some gun enthusiasts for starting a petition to do just that, Ohio.com reports.

Americans for Responsible Open Carry filed the petition with Change.org this week, and as of Friday morning it had garnered nearly 12,000 signatures.

According to the GOP’s policy on their website, “firearms and other weapons of any kind are strictly forbidden on the premises of Quicken Loans Arena,” where the convention will be held.

The petition claims that “Cleveland, Ohio is consistently ranked as one of the top ten most dangerous cities in America.”

But, “This doesn’t even begin to factor in the possibility of an ISIS terrorist attack on the arena during the convention. Without the right to protect themselves, those at the Quicken Loans Arena will be sitting ducks, utterly helpless against evil-doers, criminals or others who wish to threaten the American way of life.”
