Trump

I can't imagine why, we are nothing more than just the overinflated ego of 330 million redneck idiots and of no real importance according to most of them.

Yeah it's not like we start wars under bullshit pretenses and then have it blow up in our faces on a global scale. And it's not like a bunch of big banks decided to scam the system and destroy the economy on a global scale.

In the space of just a few hours, Donald Trump has done a serious about-face after a serious controversy.

After Trump said in an interview with Chris Matthews on MSNBC that once abortion is outlawed, “there has to be some form of punishment” for a woman who gets one, his GOP rivals John Kasich and Ted Cruz disagreed. (Though neither of those two campaigns were able to explain exactly why not.)

But more crucially, other pro-life and conservative activists began objecting quite vociferously. So Trump released a statement late Wednesday afternoon. And this time, he’s giving them the answer they actually wanted to hear.

“If Congress were to pass legislation making abortion illegal and the federal courts upheld this legislation, or any state were permitted to ban abortion under state and federal law, the doctor or any other person performing this illegal act upon a woman would be held legally responsible, not the woman,” Trump said in the statement. “The woman is a victim in this case as is the life in her womb. My position has not changed — like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions.”

Warren crushes Trump: Asking him for help is like ‘if your house is on fire calling an arsonist’

Senator Elizabeth Warren has called for Democrats to unite together to attack Donald Trump as the primary elections begin to wind down. She didn’t relent in Wednesday’s interview with “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert, but Stephen tried to find some common ground.

“Both of you feel the guys on Wall Street are getting away with stuff they shouldn’t,” he said. “Isn’t there some unity there between you and Donald Trump?”

“Let’s be real clear,” Warren began. “Donald Trump is looking out for exactly one guy, and that guy’s name is Donald Trump,” and the audience cheered. “Look, he smells that there is change in the air and what he wants to do is make sure that change works really, really well for Donald Trump.”

Colbert repeated Trump’s claims that he wanted to win for America so much we’d get tired of winning, but Warren wasn’t having it. “This is the deal, you gotta kinda look a little closer at Donald Trump. Because this is his main claim to how it is that he says he’s qualified to be president of the United States. He says, in business he wins, wins, wins. Well, the truth is: He inherited a fortune from his father… he kept it going by cheating and defrauding people, and then he treks detractors through chapter 11.”

Trump is out matched by Liz.:D

November can't come fast enough. Then we will never have to hear about Trump again.

It's a dream I have.

That is a fantasy. Do you imagine that Trump, after experiencing of the adulation of the Masses, he will be content to go back to his tower and be silent? I fear that now he has sipped to intoxicating brew he will force himself into our daily lives, until the media looses interest in his ravings.

And in their ratings, sure. That's why he gets free media attention -- he grabs eyeballs. Obvious solution: a counter-Tromp, some funny arrogant titan who can play the same game. No, I have no suggestions 'cause I don't immerse myself in media, but there must be SOME one...

Oh we'll never be done with Trump. But I'm quite ready for this to be done so we can fucking fix these Republicans. eight years is too goddamn much.

Ted Cruz exploits Donald Trump’s women troubles in Wisconsin

Ted Cruz‘s presidential campaign is zeroing in on female voters in Wisconsin following a chapter of the Republican race for the White House that shed more light than ever on Donald Trump’s problems with the opposite gender.

Cruz launched the push Wednesday morning in Madison with the rollout of a Women for Cruz coalition, and his two top female surrogates — wife Heidi and rival-turned-supporter Carly Fiorina — are spending the afternoon and all of Thursday stumping for him across the Badger State.

“This event this morning is a celebration of strong women,” Cruz declared, inviting on stage Heidi Cruz, Fiorina and his mother Eleanor, who made her first appearance of the sort on the campaign trail.

Trump hardly came up at the event, but the subtext was clear. The billionaire’s attacks on Heidi Cruz, which began last week in response to ad from an anti-Trump group that featured the billionaire’s wife, have drawn attention to his history of sexist and misogynistic comments — as well as his current struggles to gain traction among female voters

Ted is now a welcoming feminist?

And that is what will happen. The media will relegate him to Entertainment Tonight or some such celebrity program. He won't get airtime on CNN. Won't be any money in for them.

Gotta hand it to Cruz. He's been caught in a sex scandal, might not be eligible to be President in the first place, he SHUT DOWN THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT and cost us taxpayers $24,000,000,000 (at least), he wants to patrol Muslim neighborhoods, but because Donald Trump has managed to be meaner, nastier, and even more childish, not to mention more misogynistic, Cruz is now ahead of him in a key primary state, the next up for grabs.....advantage Cruz.....shakes my head....

If I were John Kasich right now, I'd have a fucking stroke, wondering how in God's name I wasn't leading both jerks by triple digits!

For the record, I'm probably the only guy who doesn't seem to be bothered by the Ivanka bit or Cruz's sex life. I'm just not all that worried about their private sex lives, kinks, etc., not even the prostitution bit (I favor legalizing it, anyway).......

No, what I care about is what these men want to do to my country. They both want to destroy the village to save it, and that is a very damn good reason not to vote for either of them!

The basic rule of all politics, domestic and external: A leader is only responsible to their constituents; nobody else matters. A leader wishing to retain their position will take all steps to keep their constituents happy. Those outside the circle must fend for themselves.

As in any campaign, the presidential candidates are very, very busy building constituencies, groups of supporters who will be rewarded if they win. It's the old gag: Vote for me and I'll give you goodies, material and moral and social, and impossible, and monstrously horrible if that's what you want. Trust me.

Tromp lures the downtrodden and hateful with jobs and security and mass deportations. Cruz dazzles believers with social disruption and holy thunder. Clinton offers a safety net and more Obama-type stuff. Sanders demands a re-structuring of the economy for the faithful with nothing to lose.

These clouds of constituents care only for their own interests -- not others' and not yours. A few large interest groups, armed and dangerous, polarized and rabid -- is that where USA is headed?

Me niether. I'm just amused by the clusterfuck.

Same here, except I'm not American. So replace "my country" with "my planet".
