Trump

To quote Tim Curry as Richelieu in Three Musketeers (bad version, but it had a great cast, so almost tolerable)....

"That can be arranged!"

As an interested overseas observer I have to say I'm looking forward to a Trump presidency.

Likewise. I am hoping, heck even praying that he becomes President.

Hillary or even Cruz would be an absolute disaster for Kiwis. They would drag us into endless Arab civil wars yet take a limp-wristed approach to dealing with China, which is our main threat.

Sanders is by far the best choice. Trump will get us into a war somewhere, just you watch.

China wants New Zealand? Tromp cares about New Zealand? I missed something...

Republican Kasich goes goth: Trump and Cruz lead to ‘path of darkness’

Republican presidential candidate John Kasich portrayed himself on Tuesday as an antidote to what he called the divisive politics of rivals Donald Trump and Ted Cruz and criticized them as wanting to take the United States down a “path of darkness.”

Kasich’s “two paths” speech in New York City was an effort to distinguish himself from both Trump and Trump’s chief rival for the Republican presidential nomination, U.S. Senator Cruz of Texas, and carve out a space for himself as a positive, reasonable conservative.

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan, often seen by establishment Republicans as an option for Republicans should the party become deadlocked over its nominee, scheduled an afternoon speech in Washington. He was expected to rule himself out again as a candidate for the nomination this year.

“He’s going to rule himself out and put this to rest once and for all,” an aide to Ryan said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Kasich – running a distant third behind Trump and Cruz and with no chance of capturing the Republican nomination unless he can emerge from a contested convention in July – did not mention Trump and Cruz by name but left no doubt as to who he was talking about.

Kasich will lead the party into the light with his 60 watt glow!

Trump has now hired the campaign manager Scott Walker used in his presidential run. Guess he knows how to pick a winner.

On Fox News’ The Five Wednesday, the panelists discussed a recent speech by Hillary Clinton on the subject of white privilege and, after declaring it “pandering at its finest,” declared her as the GOP’s only hope to unify the party.

“White Americans need to do a much better job of listening when African-Americans talk about the seen and unseen barriers you face every day,” Clinton said at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Convention. “We need to recognize our privilege and practice humility, rather than assume our experiences are everyone else’s experiences.”

Co-host Greg Gutfeld was incensed, saying that “she does not speak for all white people,” and “she has absolutely no idea what’s going on in the real world.” He also noted that the tone of her voice will make her vulnerable to Trump in a debate. “When you hear that voice,” he said, “you know there’s no way in a debate she’s going to make it — because that voice, it makes your explode.”

Trump vs Bernie?? Wow....never would have thunk it!

When I predicted Hillary wouldnt win, it was more from hope, then actual reality, but it does appear Bernie might take her.....unreal

Hilly probably has the superdelegates locked up -- but she could still be indicted by a zealous prosecutor, so Bern's not totally out of contention yet. We shall see.

I think Hillary was in a bit of a no win there. A lot of Bernie supporters are accusing her of dodging him. Which she sorta is but it makes no sense for her to debate him. She can't win any support she doesn't already have by fucking with Bernie and everytime she (or any person period really) opens her mouth there is a chance she'll say something stupid. But you can't keep ducking once people call you on it.

I think it's wishful thinking to think Bernie is the future based on those issues. I promise you if oil gets back near 200 a barrel again nobody is going to do anything but beg BP to DP their fracking asshole for example.

Doesn't really matter, Clinton will get it and everyone will go back to not giving a fuck as we keep getting fucked the same as usual. Too big to fail, never ending war, make it impossible for people to start their own companies without tens of thousands of dollars in paperwork before they can even think about opening their doors/website etc etc. Keep the mandatory minimums for sex, drugs and rock n' roll.

You're right, the working class has a fuckin' shitty future in this country.

Largely because it's too stupid to vote in it's own self interest.

Clinton was always going to get it and so far she seems to be winning legit. No point in crying about that. The question is about whose ideals are going to be important moving forward and whose are not.

That for me was always the importance of Bernie was getting someone to say the things he and Elizabeth Warren said and in places where they couldn't be ignored or brushed off.

I just think that the Environment is a bit of a loser for the left. The Right has done a fantastic job of muddying the issue and the left only cares when it's easy. The moment gas prices jump 'Drill baby Drill' and 'All of the above' will sound pretty damn good again no matter how short sighted they actually are.

Other than she's a fucking scum bag neolib about as progressive as Romney.

I admit, that is a legit win.

That being said I hope Sandaz decimates her slimy scum suckin' ass in NY.

From what little I have seen, you don't show much awareness of how the big bad world outside of the U.S. feels. Get off your high horse for once and listen to someone who is a part of it. We want Trump because we know he isn't going to continue the misery neoconservative foreign policy has wrecked.

I would rather have a racist homophobic xenophobic sexist anti-Semitic Islamophobic whatever as my President than somebody who is bought and paid for by big money and considers people to be mere economic units you can buy and sell like property.

Now go.

Campaign 2016

Tensions between Trump and GOP erupt into public fight
The party fired back at the front-runner, who repeatedly complained that the delegate system is “rigged” after he failed to win any delegates in Colorado’s party convention last weekend.

The part in bold reflects your warped values. Corporate shills are bad, but bigots are evil.
